When prompted why I know details of aircraft, I often get asked why I did not join a "force," I have always said "simulations, video games," and I've never had a problem with giving that answer. More info is more, so articles, and ultimately, this link can bring my, "are you CIA?" status up a bit (I always deny and say, "no, I'm a gamer!").
