I tried the Dave's Harrier GR3 model, but after shutting down the autopilot is started to lean on a side. I searched the site for similar issues and I found no solvings. Can anyone, please, tell me , what should I try to balance it, to make the plane work correctly ? thank you

The first thing I check when this happens to me is the adjustment wheel on the back of the joystick.  It is used to level the plane's wings so it doesn't roll on it's own.

If that isn't the problem it's beyond my current capabilities.

Sorry I couldn't help.

Anyone that flies this game with a keyboard has my respect!

Does your loadout is the same on each wings? Your answer might be here. More weight on one side and you will naturally lean on this side.

It's fun to forget that with 2000Lbs bombs at low altitude :)

The loads are equal of course so the issue is certainly not here. However, I tried it with no load at all with the same results. My guess is that either something wrong with the model or...october 2008 patch changes somehow tampered with the flight model or some key variables and it made it unflyable. I use the mode in WOI by the way. I encountered 6 years ago the same issue with some russian plane but I forgot how I solved it or IF I solved it at all lol

Please try this and report (because it's a blind fix, I didn't tested it)

(...should have tried it before...  :nono: see my second post below for something more effective)

If the issue is gone, it was a minmax extent issue. (No it's worse than that)

it's a CONTROLER issue

have you tried recalibrating the keyboard inputs???

if not, I suggest doing the smart thing, and get a joystick; even a cheep one

One should always tries his fix before

Here's a better one

Dave HarrierGR3_DATA.rar

Use the file, don't copy/paste parts of it.

If you had edited the data.ini file, edit this file as you like.

I don't agree with the FM, but it's not the point here. Now it flies straight.

You're welcome.

In my first attempt, I checked the MinMax extent positions.

It's easy with Mue's LOD viewer and you can do that for most of the models done at that time (for there wasn't LOD viewer at all, except 3D MAX itself)

As the left wing box wasn't showing up, I spotted that typo :

[LeftWing]
...
ModelNodeName=LefttWing

(This one happens all the time)

But at this state, the plane was still rolling.
And after a long search through all the data.ini file, I found another typo :

[RightStab]
...
HasAeroCoefficients=TRUE7

It was like the right stab didn't had aerodynamical parameters while the left stab was normal, and it made the plane roll.

Too bad for all the people who worked on this model and all the players who downloaded it and didn't enjoyed it as much as it deserves
(those who play hard mode FM)
Now it can be even better, but that's another story.

So the typos were. I encountered myself couple of time such problems, but I was lucky that I saw them in plain view. I remember it was missing a "[" and the plane couldn't load a wing etc. Thanks for everything.
