KC-130 Crash in Mississippi 16 Dead

A KC-130, a refueling tanker, crashed into a rural field in the Mississippi Delta. The reason for the mishap is unknown. 15 Marines dead along with 1 Navy Corpsman.

Looking at the vegetation around it, it looks like is just crashed straight into the ground. As in I can't see where they did a wheels up landing.

  It sounds like structural failure in flight leading to an attempted landing that didn't make it. 

Very sad and hits home to me. I lost four friends/shipmates in three crashes that were structural failures in flight of old aircraft still in service.
