Hi all,My SF2 has now decided to stop loading after the initial loading screen.it goes black then I can only get out by restarting the pc.I have updated drivers after the issue and have tested SF2 europe from the same folder and it works fine.In desperation I re-installed SF2 from the full install via thirdwire but the problem persists.I am guessing that as my original mods folder is still extant the problem is in there somewhere ???? Do I have to delete all from the mods folders,re-install and start from scratch ???

Only time i encountered this problem is right after installing the F-18E/F where one sound file came in conflict with the old one... By chance i always make sure i have a copy of my running game BEFORE doing any change. I put the old sound file instead of the new one and i was back in the sky :)

Your problem might not be like this one... but it sounds like that. Removing the plane and decal folder of the installed plane will not solve it as you always put sounds, weapons, etc... you need to get rid of the every new files you installed and put the old one's...

Never encountered this issue.

Considering how new to SF2 you are, and only have the one game, that's not surprising!!!

I've only encountered it once, and it never recurred.

So, the "rebuild mods folder" is pretty mucn the only option

Well I learned from the best so you need to know that I already prepared a backup folder where I put all my modified planes (stock or third party) after I work on them. In other words I am not afraid of any surprises. From my experience a blank screen, even in Win 10, has to do with graphical issues so as long as one won't experiment with video drivers or do soemthing stupid, it shouldn't occur to anyone. That's the rule in theory.

PS - I don't have just one game. I have them all installed. I only experiment in SF2 Israel, for precatious reasons, which is different. Wasn't here one person in particular who told me to take it slowly, eh ?

Indeed I did. But you're using the wrong one. Both SF2V and SF2I lack many of the mission type allowed. You need to use plane jane SF2, as everything is allowed.

Create a "Test" install from the SF2 exe, and do all the work in there. That leave all the others 'free' for "theatre specific" use.

what kind of mission I can't do in SF2 Israel and I can do them in SF2 (DESERT CAT) ? Are there any other type of missions except these:

INTERCEPT/SWEEP/CAP/ESCORT

CAS/SEAD/ANTI-SHIP/STRIKE/RECON/ARMORED RECON

??

I also experimented all the above missions from a carrier, in SF2 environment, too for both red and blues. So what am I missing ? I hope you are not talking about the A.I. antiship fancy missions from SF2 NA.
