A few tips for Brits travelling to Germany for the European Championships

Recommended Posts

Today Germany is playing vs Scottland in European Football Championship. And scottish fans made some mistakes. In one case it was a heavy car exident, with some heavy casulties.

Thaswhy: A few tips for Brits travelling to Germany for the European Championships

First: In Germany we are driving on the right side, like the rest of civilized world. If you drive like in Great Britain you'll end up in hospital.

Second: Our beer is stronger than what you are used to in the UK.  If you drink like you do in Great Britain, you'll quickly find yourself under the table.

Third: Funny meant phrases like "Sieg Heil" or other Nazi related phrases are in Germany no joke, but a crime. You can go to jail for this.

Have fun and enjoy your time!

I didn't think the Brits were allowed out to play after Aussies ranked above them in Cricket this year :dntknw:

So the football Euros are in Germany this year - forgot it was on.

The traditional Scotish drink is called Whisky..............German beer would be like Lemonade in comparison.........maybe one reason they never do so well.

Hardly follow cricket but I thought the Aussies have been considered better then England at cricket for at least the last 45 years....remember them constantly winning with players like Shane Warne etc.

Not aware of ever seeing a Scotish cricket team.............but the web says they have one..........who knew.

There is a World Cup on right now, in New York (the T20 Cricket World Cup, that is).

Scotland has been knocked out in the 1st round, by Australia. England is still in the comp, having thrashed Oman and Namibia.
