  7. I know, Wrench. I purposely left them off of some items. I thought people could add them back in, if they wanted them. Didn't some of the soldiers released for SF1 have destroyed lods? Or, am I confused? I'm going to do Geezer's Industrial objects next, so people who can't use the terrain editor (me) can use them with Mue's Editor. By the way, don't you love Mue's tools? They work so easy for an advanced Remtard, like me.
  8. I'm rebuilding my FE2 after a hard drive crash a while back, and I had everything backed up, except my terrain folders. I had used Geezer's airfield objects and personnel, so I wanted to install them again. Having recreated the types.inis for the terrains I have, I figured I would post the generic entries here, so people would have them, if they wanted to install Geezer's objects into a terrain. Might save some work, especially now that we have Mue's fantastic targets ini editor. Just copy and paste these entries into the types.ini for whatever terrain you want to modify at the end of the list and number them in sequence. Of course, make sure you download Geezer's objects (if you're new to this ) and install them first.   15. Well, even if you can't find it, I have my arrow keys set up as trim tabs, so it really won't be a problem. If anyone reading this hasn't discovered this little fix for SF2, I'll be happy to post it here. The thing I like the most about your flight models is that you feel you're maneuvering a WW2 fighter that doesn't have boosted controls, and often had fabric covered ones. Yours seem to capture that more than any other WW2 FMs I've flown. Performance figures are one thing, but control feel is important to me also. Great work, as always. I appreciate how much effort you put into it.

Looking through Mue's LOD viewer at the Tempest, the only thing that strikes me as odd is the bounding boxes for two small objects attached to the rocket racks seem different in size, although I know diddly squat about this stuff. They're object 1 and object 9. I know they should have positive and negative figures, since they're on two different sides of the plane, but shouldn't the boxes be the same size? Like I say, I don't know anything about this stuff, but that's all I noticed with a quick view. Sorry if it's a false lead.

  18. It is my favorite mod also, for all the reasons you mentioned, although others are extremely good. The KAW mod just puts you there, in a way that not many mods can. It amazes me sometimes what I've gotten for free around here, and the KAW mod amazes every time I fire it up.

  20. I've stayed with July 2012, but it was so long ago that I don't remember all the details why. I think some of the sim was dumbed down after that patch and I didn't like it. If I remember correctly.

    The one thing people love to leave out of the climate equation is that we, humans, are the only species on the planet that creates fire. We have been for thousands of years, not hundreds. The argument that we had little or nothing to do with warming is specious. The key issue is actually Earth's relationship to fire before our arrogant, self-deluded species came along. Our influence is not marginal. The key difference between natural fires and man-made ones is that natural fires burn for a time and then burn out, because of rain, natural obstructions, or lack of fuel. Once they burn out, fire tends not to occur in that area for decades afterward. The modern man-made fires of power consumption and transportation are continuously burning fires. You can't keep dumping all that extra carbon into an atmosphere whose real practical depth is only 10 miles and expect all that extra carbon to have no effect. Yes, we must all do the little things that we can to help, but it is actually past the time where that could cure the problem. Bigger changes have to be made, or Earth will gladly do without us, and start over again. It's not a reset button you want to hit. All people are talking about is finding alternative sources of energy, renewable resources, non burning resources, for transportation, and the generation of electricity. I speak to my legal representatives often, because we need real changes made; the time for baby steps is long gone. I do all the little things you do, Gepard, but I have also learned to give it voice to everyone around me. Until you change minds, you are doing nothing.

    Convincing people who do not want to be convinced, Erik. Believe me, I write about warming all the time on my blog. Forgive me for sounding negative in my previous post, I'm not. I keep hammering at it with words, the only tool I have. Some people will never be convinced, or find an excuse not to do anything, that's the easiest thing to do. Trust me, I come in contact with the public every day in my job, and there is a whole new crop of flat earthers out there. It's sad, in the twenty-first century, but it's true. Like you, I will never give up the fight to save Earth from human vested interest, and ignorance. Some people will never listen, I don't confront them. I talk to the people who aren't entrenched, trying to get them to believe, and spread the word, but sometimes it's like beating your head against a wall. Especially now, when people are empowered by the head doubter in the White House. I tweet the orange one every day, but I'm not really speaking to him, he doesn't listen, I'm talking to the people lurking in the background, watching what others say...

    Erik, you might as well give it up. Global warming is a common sense thing, if you want to understand it, and a large proportion of people just don't want to understand, or force a change. You actually don't need scientists to explain to you how it happened, or why. Humanity is addicted to belief; it will be our downfall. Interestingly, we will be the first species ever in Earth's long history to choose extinction over survival.
