  1. For most of the model. However, for certain parts, the shinyness is built into the LOD and can't be altered by an external file. The tailpipes and canopies have been hardcoded with being shiny, while the wheels and tires have been coded to stay dull. The rest should be alterable with the Textureset.ini file. Have to say, it looks quite fetching in black.... FC
  2. We've got a few of them (gotta throw rocks at them to get them to fly) in my squadron.... FC
  3. Get over it. If you can't, and you insist on acting this way, we'd be happy to show you the door. FC
  4. Sigh...something ELSE to add to the combo install.... FC
  5. My home field on a formation sortie with a student and solo student wingman, both of which are not native English speakers. FC Oh...you meant in the sim...
  6. "Workin' on our night moves..." FC
  7. Oh yeah, I forgot about that...I made those canards for Sag a while ago. FC
  8. Ed, Thanks for the info. I figured it was in meters squared. Cool...this should make things REALLY interesting for scenarios. SidDogg, Go into the data.ini file, and look for the [DetectSystem] block. Add the following line: BaseRCSModifier= with the value in meters squared that you want. That's it! FC
  9. Ed, You prankster...I meant the values in the sim ya bum! FC
  10. The TMF will release the F-14 when it is ready, and not before. It does exist, it is being worked on...sorry if screenshots aren't enough to show that. FC
  11. Ed, I've noticed several of the stock aircraft do not have this parameter in the data.ini. Do you know what the 'default' values are for the various classes of aircraft? FC
  12. For the same reason there are two seat versions of the F-16, F-15, F-18, Rafale, Eurofighter, etc. They are mainly designed for initial basic qual in the aircraft. The T-38 is an advanced flight trainer, to transition to higher speeds and fighter type operations. It does not however, train you for a specific aircraft...it carries no armament except for the AT-38B, which can carry a small gunpod or SUU-20 rocket pod/practice bomb rack. That is the difference. FC
  13. Also, for those who don't know, the BaseRCSModifier parameter now works. I haven't figured out what units they are in yet, or if there is a default number for different aircraft and objects. I did a direct copy of the F-14A avionics over to the F-111B prototype and the BVR engagement by my flight worked fine...started blowing away stock TW MiG-21s at about 50 NM. Didn't even specify a target, just told them to 'Engage Air' while we were all pointed at the enemy targets. I'm not sure what to tell you...other than the target you are engaging maybe has a small RCS. FC
  14. A lot of what you are going on about are about add on aircraft. Imagine trying to QC a patch based on non-supported 3rd party mods. With third party addons, all bets are off. FC
  15. Yep, blue side SAMs work just fine. I've got them set up on the GermanyCE map and they appear (and shoot) quite nicely. Although, they don't hit much... FC
  16. Depends...if you make a fake 'landing gear' that uses the flap animation. FC
  17. Also WDH, try Paint.net...it works pretty well, and with a plugin, will work with PSD (Adobe Photoshop) files. I know a few people here who swear by it. FC
  18. TF = Terrain Following = disabled. GMT = Ground Map Terrain = maybe new name for what used to be Terrain Avoidance mode (TA). In real life, Terrain Avoidance and Terrain Following are very different modes. FC
  19. Fubar, You know I'll be asking to incorperate them in the 'all in one' terrain mod for WOE... . FC
  20. Eric, I owe you one. Let me see what I can do. FC
  21. What Dave said. I've been lucky compared to those here who've really been in harm's way. From the mudfeet on the ground to the high spy Deuce guy, thanks...we owe you. FC
