Hi and now something completely different! Taken out of a comic strip (btw, highly recomendet -> ). A rather special skin for the SPAD XII (the one with the cannon, which can be found here on combatace). Installation: - Drop whole folder 'Edelweiss' in the SPAD_XII folder (..\objects\Aircraft\SPAD_XII) - Add the lines below into your SPAD_XII.ini at the bottom, of course change the XXX to the next number [TextureSetXXX] <-- Change number Directory=Edelweiss Name=Castillac Nation=FRANCE Squadron=unknown Specular=0.400000 Glossiness=0.300000 Reflection=0.100000 cheers gterl
  3. Fantastic stuff !!!!!! Simply stunning!
  4. Great work there, congratulations!!!! Looks superb!! I guess you're using a train LOD as truck and within the movements.ini you're 'following' the train-tracks. Correct? If so, isn't there a risk that you're either find a) trucks running on rails or b) trains running on streets? Just wondering, AFAI there are just two routetypes (Ground_Attack or TRUCK)....is there more? ...nonetheless fantastic work!! rgds gt
  5. View File FE Menu Sound Here's a bit of drama for the FE (Gold or 2) Menu. Works best with Guitarclassic55's menu add-on. Theme: Palladio (K. Jenkins) with a bit of WW1 drama Installation: - Download & unrar into temp directory - Make copy of your existing files (sound files within 'sound' and 'flight' folders) - Copy/overwrite with extracted files Hope you like it Submitter gterl Submitted 01/03/2014 Category First Eagle - General Files - Sound Mods

  10. ...just digging this one out. Question/Situation: - I'm having ships in the objects-folder (out of the North-Sea terrain) - Ship's show up (randomly) on my movements.ini truck routes ....of course on land, like on the first pic in the first post --> Is there any fix for this? --> Do I have to modify the ships within the objects folder and make them 'static' and move them into my respective terrain folder? Is that the only solution? thx in advance
  11. Paninari?
  12. Thx for the review...nice to see you like the terrain
  13. ...playing around and adding here and there (wonderfull terrain!)
  15. I'm glad you like it Are these pic's from FE2. As I've FE-Gold I wasn't sure about the usability for FE2. Btw here are a couple of books you guys might like. Have a couple of them and they're highly recommended. The White War: Life and Death on the Italian Front 1915-1919 CAPORETTO AND THE ISONZO CAMPAIGN: The Italian Front 1915-1918 Battles in the Alps: A History of the Italian Front of the First World War Caporetto 1917: Victory or Defeat? Touring the Italian Front 1917-1918: British, American, French & German Forces in Northern Italy (Battleground Europe) A Soldier on the Southern Front: The Classic Italian Memoir of World War I ...and of course Osprey Publishing (my main source, reading...) Italian Aces of World War 1 (Aircraft of the Aces) Austro Hungarian Aces of World War I The Austro-Hungarian Forces in World War I (1) The Austro-Hungarian Forces in World War I (2) The Italian Army of World War I (Men-at-Arms) Italian Arditi: Elite Assault Troops 1917-20 The Mediterranean Front 1914-1923 PS: Good that the 'Effects' issue could be solved (I wouldn't have known how to fix it)
  16. Hi - don't know for FE2, sorry. But as for FE-Gold (FE1) this is a simple procedure - Say you've installed everything in c:\program files\first eagles 2 1. Copy the whole 'first eagles 2' folder 2. Paste it again within c.\program files and rename it as 'first eagles italy' (example) 3. Now within that installation you should still find an .exe file (main executable of the game) 4. Create a short-cut on your desktop where it points to the new one ...should work IMHO also with FE2 gt
  17. just tried to download....no problems (file is ok) -> http://combatace.com/files/file/14440-italian-terrain-incl-1915-1917-campaign/
  18. released.... Happy Christmas to you all guys!!!!!!! sincerely gterl
  19. View File Italian Terrain (incl. 1915-1917 campaign) Italian Terrain WW1 V2.0 ******************************* Update (2.0): - Removed ships that show up on land - Added fortresses (Austrian & Italian) - Changed ocean tiles - Minor corrections INTRODUCTION The Italian Front during WW1 refers to a series of battles fought between 1915 and 1918 in northern Italy between the armies of Austria-Hungary and Germany against Italy. Italy hoped that by joining the countries of the Triple Entente against the Central Powers it would gain Cisalpine Tyrol (today's provinces of Trentino and South Tyrol), the Austrian Littoral, northern Dalmatia and some areas of western Carniola. Italy had hoped to begin the war with a surprise offensive intended to move quickly and capture several Austrian cities. Well, the war soon bogged down into trench warfare similar to the Western Front fought in France. INCLUDED - Italian terrain/front WW1 - Ground objects - Italian campaign 1915-1917 (incl. needed skins) FAQs Q: Is the scale of the map correct A: No Q: Why not the Piave river front, in order to create late 1917/1918 scenarios? A: Because Q: Are all the named towns and cities correct (placement and naming) A: Yes as good as it gets. Q: Does it include more than one season? A: No, currently not. Might be released with version 2 Q: Is the frontline correct? A: Yes as good as it gets, representing late 1917 with certain omissions in order to get targets for the campaigns (like Monfalcone being Austro-Hungarian) Q: The river Isonzo seems to cut through the mountains, is that correct? A: To a certain degree, but I had to modify massively the heightmap in order to make things look right (e.g. river not flowing up/down the mountains) Q: The northern part of the map, e.g. toward Munich, seems without further towns? A: Correct. All forests and lakes are there but apart from the major cities (Salzburg & Munich) I've not yes included smaller towns. INSTALLATION 1. Make a backup copy of your First Eagles folder (just in case) 2. Extract the file into a temporary folder (like c:\temp\) 3.
