Firehawkordy quite eloquently expressed my feelings to a "T". However, I want to add a few more comments. Finiteless, Here in the US, the media is unbelievably liberally biased. It's always been that way. A few years ago, FOX News came into being, and finally provided a balanced alternative to the leftwing-slanted information spewed by all the other news media channels, including NPR (National "Propaganda" Radio). I listen to the garbage put out by some of Kerry's supporters, and the frustration builds within me. Forums like this allow me, and other like-minded individuals, the opportunity to vent. I admit that as a retired military man, I definitely have biased opinions about who I want to see as our CIC. 1992 brought the beginning of 8 years of having Clinton as our CIC. Yes, his office demanded respect, but as an individual, Bill Clinton was a disgrace. Every time I saw him on TV, it was a constant reminder of his proven disdain for the military (evidenced by his protest against the US involvement in Vietnam when he was in Moscow!). I was ashamed to have Clinton as my President, and even more so as my CIC. He tarnished the office of the President. Now along comes Kerry. He is self-serving and not to be trusted. Our country was attacked viciously on 9/11. I do not want a President who is interested in turning over the control of our troops overseas to the incompetent boobs at the UN. I do not want a President who is interested in UNDERSTANDING the anger of the terrorists who attacked us. I want a President who is strong, decisive, and is not afraid to initiate a strike against those who intend to harm us. Finiteless, you stated you wished the "willful smearing", and "disinformation tactics were not being so avidly utilised", yet you make comments about military people, such as, "the system that feeds and cloths you, and provides you weapons, training and a fat pay cheque, and without which you would be just so much poor trailer-trash." That understandably evokes ire. Additionally, I, like Firehawkordy, am sick of handing over more and more of my hard-earned pay to the govt. Kerry, if allowed into office, will assuredly do his best to raise taxes again, and "steal" more of Americans ability to survive, financially. All this, simply to fund social programs that have been proven NOT to work. I made the statement that I believe a large majority of people who intend to vote for Kerry are doing so, simply because of extreme and misguided hatred for Bush. I still believe this. If Kerry is elected, I am convinced that the defense of our country will be diminished. Navy Chief

Your EX? Man, that is cold! Speaking for myself, I am not sure I would wish the wrath of my EX on my worst enemy!!! Heh, heh, heh.... Navychief

Yugoslavic advanced trainer available!

Hey Firehawkordy, Yep, I saw the multimeter. Problem is, I don't even know how to use one in real life; much less in a flight simulation! As an AME, if we needed electrical troubleshooting, we just filled out a MAF, and the AEs went to work. Heh, heh, heh.... NC -
Very nice, Dagger! NC

I thought I would post another picture of where I live. Peaceful, for the most part, and definitely a romantic setting! Navy Chief

Glad you liked the site, Scout! And the thing is, it is nothing but the truth. Those video clips are not fraud. They are a chronological record of the distortions made by a man who wants to be our next President and CIC. It is more than scary; it is frightening. Firehawkordy, Wouldn't it be great if they would turn Saddam Hussein loose in an Ordnance Workcenter for a few hours? Let them "interrogate" him a little. Heh, heh. By the way, I was always envious of the comraderie that AOs share. They are the tightest-knit rating in the Navy; in my opinion! Navy Chief

Hopefully not, but seriously, Scout....go see the site I listed. Watch the video. It is truly amazing. Navy Chief

I found out about the following site this afternoon. http://www.kerryoniraq.com/ Kerry supporters, if they have any nerve at all, will visit this site, and pay attention to the facts presented. Navy Chief

I remember well the horrible feeling when I learned that Comrade Clinton had been elected President for what ended up being TWO terms. It was a dark day, to say the least. At the time, I was stationed at Saufley Field, Pensacola. I was an exam writer for my rating (AME). Virutally everyone on base was both depressed and highly upset that Clinton had been elected as Commander In Chief. From the day he was elected, until he left office, I could not bring myself to watch him on TV. Just the sight of him in a flight jacket, visiting the troops, was enough to make me sick. Navy Chief

FS9 needs some older aircraft carriers
navychief replied to navychief's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator
Hey Foofighter, Whew! You have a lot of questions, and for the most part, I don't have answers! However, I will say this; when you get FD3, it should solve your problems. Personally, I plan to uninstall all my carrier scenery and reinstall them, one by one. There are various mods to the flight deck textures, etc...that have messed up the graphics for my carrier sceneries. Once I get them reinstalled, I plan to leave them alone! Good luck, and let me know how your situation is, once you get FD3. Navy Chief -
Yugoslavic advanced trainer available!

Coincidentally, my rating in the Navy was egress systems. Of all the ejection seat systems I worked on, the Martin Baker seats were the most interesting. But they were also the most complicated! Navy Chief -
I thought this aircraft looked interesting, especially with the ejection seat effects! I have not installed it yet, but will later on today. Navy Chief FS2002/FS2004 Soko Galeb-2 v1.1 package. Same situation for BFE Georgia. We have a local telephone company that has a monopoly. It won't allow any outside telephone company to operate any services. DSL through them is $50 a month. They know they're the only game in town, and can charge it. Navy Chief

FS9 needs some older aircraft carriers
navychief replied to navychief's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator
Not sure if Midway and Coral Sea were sister ships. Easy enough to find out through a search, but no matter. I don't know if CFS2 scenery will work correctly. Am not too keen on attempting it. If I knew anything about changing codes, maybe it would be possible to make the changes to existing carriers in my installed scenery, but not sure I want to try that either. Navy Chief -
FS9 needs some older aircraft carriers
navychief replied to navychief's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator
Hey Scout, I recall downloading a file with older carriers, but they were WW2 types, and if I remember correctly, they did not support ARRCAB. Surely someone will create them. Hopefully. Navy Chief -
I do not have the knowhow to create them, but I wish someone would create some of the older carriers for FS9, such as the Independence, Saratoga, Coral Sea, Constellation, etc..... Just a thought for us old salts. Navy Chief

I really don't believe it is a case of them not wanting to be bothered with the facts. More often than not, they choose to IGNORE the facts because of extreme hatred for the current Commander In Chief. Navy Chief
-
Yes, the truth hurts, Skater. They don't want the true story to be known, so they hack the site. Hopefully enough people actually pay attention to the facts, but I am not enouraged as of late. Navy Chief

Gator, Be careful out there, Gator. Thanks for keeping us safe, Marine. And yes, I too remember when email was not available on ships. It really must be a comfort to be able to stay in touch so easily!! Navy Chief

Hey Scout, I won't steal your thunder on this. Go ahead and post the URL you sent me. I have visited it and read the material. Most interesting, and disturbing, to say the least. Navy Chief

Charlie, Were I able to do it all over again, (meaning join the Navy, etc...), I would'nt change a thing. I remember the night I arrived at boot camp like it was yesterday. Navy Chief

Hey PG, Thanks for the tip. I just finished downloading quite a few of those mesh files. Now, if I can just install them correctly!!! Navy Chief

A little political humor: How do you tell the difference between Democrats, Republicans, and Southerners? Answer: Pose the following question: You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a wild look in his eyes; and a huge knife in his hand comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, raises the knife, and charges. You are carrying a Glock, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do? Democrat Answer: Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? What would the ACLU say? Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? Should I call 9-1-1? Why is this street so deserted? We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior. Republican Answer: BANG! Southerner's Answer: BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! click....(sounds of reloading). BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! click. Daughter: "Nice grouping, Daddy! Were those the Winchester Silver Tips or Black Talon Hollow Points?? Heh, heh, heh,.... Navy Chief

A fat pay check? Hey Dagger, Beer, Firehawkordy, and all you vets......have I missed something here? He must be referring to another country. As for being trailer trash? I won't even dignify that with a response. However, you may assume I am thinking some profane thoughts. Navy Chief
