Indo-Pak mod Mystere IVA Indian Air Force Skin Pack A Skin pack that is basically meant to update the stock Wrench's Thirdwire Dassault Mystere IVA(Indian AF) that is a part of the Indo-Pak mod aircraft package. The package has been tested on a merged Indo-Pak SF2 install( SF2/SF2E/SF2V/SF2V/SF2I/Exp pack1 & 2/SF2NA updated upto July 2012 patch) . It does not contain any cockpit or lod files and uses stock Mystere IVA a/c and cockpit model. All skin textures are in jpeg format. It *may* not work properly if your install does not satisfy the above requirements Package contains serial number decals(all 110 IAF Mystere IVA airframes), skins and markings for all Indian AF Mystere IVA squadrons that took part in the 1965 Indo-Pak war( No. 1 "Tigers" , No. 3 "Cobras" , No. 8 'Pursoots" , No. 31 "Lions" and No. 32 "Thunderbirds") Installation Warning : This is meant strictly for the Indo-Pak mod on a full SF2 merged install and it will overwrite the MystereIVa.ini file. I will not be reposible if you chose to install it over a generic install and it messes up your ini files.Should you choose to install it a non-Indo-Pak install, do so at your own risk. Drop the contents of the file(Aircraft & Decals folders) in your X:\Users\YYYY\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2\Objects folder and let it overwrite (assuming yours is a Indo-Pak mod install). Credits : Thirdwire- for the MystereIVA model Indo-Pak mod team - For the Indo-Pak mod Wrench, the ini master, for the Indian AF MystereIVA mod and gigantic efforts in putting together the Indo-Pak mod & aircraft. This skin pack is meant to be a thank you the Indo-Pak team and a tribute to the intrepid Indian Air Force Mystere IVA pilots who lead Indian Air Force's day time strikes during the 1965 war, , who inspite of being at a disadvantage against agile PAF Sabres and faster F-104s, held their own. I agree. His & Sundowner's Phantom skins are incomparable. This DLC is literally nullifying all their hard work. I know, people will say If you are not interested, don't buy it. But I find these skin pack DLCs rather stupid and to some extent it discourages skinners. I am ok with new DLC a/c models but Skin packs ?????

The Vajras played a vital role in winning back India those heights lost to Pakistan during the 1999 Kargil War. This from Gp Cpt R Nambiar(WingCo & Flight Commander of No. 7 Sqdn during the Kargil War), on Mirage Precision Strike missions during the War: These jets will soon be undergoing upgrades to bring them up to Mirage 2000-5/9 standards.

Thank you. Glad you like them . I wish there was some way to do this: Real thing: The Shipborne Navy Torpedo carrying MATCH Chetak( notice the AS.11 sight has been removed): AS.11 carrying Army/AF Chetak Gunships: These dedicated Navy/AF mods would not have been possible without Wrench, Crusader and mppd's help . Flying it is hard, but one you know to fly it, it is fun to fly. The way AI flies the Alouette is hopeless. Only trouble is that while flying you'll have to be Rambo . Wingmen always reply in the negative when ordered to engage tanks or ships, eventhough they were armed with AS.11s or Mk.44 torpedoes. Need to polish those weapons attachments types, get permissions and then upload it.

First Indian C-17 Globemaster III

Well, that grey painted on IAF aircraft is known as "Tipnis Grey" in the IAF, after Air Chief Marshal A Y Tipnis. It was during his tenure( during the 1999 Kargil War) that all IAF aircraft were ordered to change to the dull grey paint scheme. Only Mirage 2000s were spared and allowed to retain their dual tone blue paint scheme. That was the end of those colourful Fishbeds and Floggers in IAF service . Expect the same Tipnis grey shade painted on C-17s, as was done with the C-130Js, IL-76/78s, Do-228s, Avros and An-32s. -

Chetak from No. 201 Indian Army Aviation Corps Squadron. This is the modern day camo that is sported by Army Aviation HAL Dhruvs too. These Chetaks are being/or already have been replaced by HAL Dhruvs in transport and Gunship (Dhruv WSI) roles in Army Aviation inventory. Indian Army Green: Indian Navy(Early). The first Navy Chetaks came in this paint scheme and were deployed on the carrier Vikrant(SAR duties) and on the frigates in the MATCH role. The letter "W" means the chopper was deployed on the INS Viraat( "W" is Viraat's code) ^^ I love this angle. I have seen the Chetak from this angle so many times from my house . Coast Guard and Navy Chetaks used to fly by quite frequently. Now its replacement, HAL Dhruvs, fly by, but not so frequently. I miss listening to the Chetak's sweet sounding engines .

I believe Florian has dedicated Indian Navy Sea King variants[ASW/ASuW Mk.42A/B & Mk.42C(Ride of IN's Specops MARCOS)] in the works I have been tying hard to get rid of this black part on top of the cockpit for the Torpedo carrying Indian navy Chetak( the part remains after removal of the AS.11/12 guidance sight), but no luck so far. In my attempt to get a hint of that part name, I have been translating words, at snail's pace, in the OUT file from Spanish to English. That's some way to learn Spanish !!!!!! Any suggestions for the part name would be helpful Amigos .

Bullseye Otto . Now that top portion has been removed, another part needs to be deleted, looks like some sort of stand for the Sight. The reason I thought it was a searchlight was because if you switch on a/c lights, it throws a beam of light, illuminating the area infront of the helo . Unfortunately, there are no clear pics of IAF Chetaks having that Sight. In the pics I have of Indian Chetaks carrying AS.11s, it is unclear that the sight exists on Indian Chetaks. But, I guess it is imperative to have that sight to fire AS.11s. So,I will not delete the sight for Indian AF & Army Chetaks. However, the torpedo carrying Navy and SAR CG Chetaks, for sure do not have it. So the sight needs to be deleted completely for Navy Chetaks, including teh stand shown in the screenie above. Thanks again Otto .

. Tiger Hill, Here I come!!!!! I tried it and these are the lines I added to the data.ini . . . . Component[008]=DeleteSearchlight . . . . [DeleteSearchlight] ParentComponentName=Proa ModelNodeName=Bulbo_Faro_Aterrizaje DestroyedNodeName=Bulbo_Faro_Aterrizaje DetachWhenDestroyed=TRUE HasAeroCoefficients=FALSE The light is still there on the model. Or am I doing something wrong ? Indian AF Chetaks:

The Indian Navy SAR/MATCH Chetak[iNAS 321 "Angels"(SAR) & INAS 331(ASW)] is ready with an Indian Navy skin, decals & serial numbers of all 86 Indian Navy Chetaks. It is flyable provided you use Thrust Vectoring and rudders(Tail rotor) correctly, and fly it slow. Exceed 100 knots and it becomes hard to control. One question to Spanish speakers on CA and those who know how to delete parts using data.ini. How to remove the searchlight on top of the cockpit? Since the OUT file has Spanish words, I thought it would be best if someone with knowledge of Spanish could help in pinpointing the part name of the searchlight. Moving onto AS-11 carrying Indian AF Chetaks now .
