  6. Excellent work Russo . Love that last shot. I better start putting together a real world serial numbers list of Indian Hawks .
  7. Great work Regaridng those Indian Mirages, just add "Reverse=TRUE" for the starboard finflash decal and you are all set. On all IAF a/c, the green part of the IAF finflash always points towards the cockpit.
  8. Very nice Russo . Looking at those Red Arrows Mk.128s screenies, posting something related to it. The IAF's aerobatic team, which flew the HAL HJT-16 Kiran Mk.II previously, will soon be converting to Hawk Mk.132s.
  9. I agree with Jimbib, the nose does seem a little longer in the drawing. Here's another pic of the nose:
  10. This may be of help to you Wrench, You may use this in your hangar screen. There is one painting in colour where the Alize is depicted as splashing into the Arabian sea with the PAF F-104A flying by. I had saved in on my home PC. WIll try to find it.
  11. Veltro, How about an Indian Navy No. 310 Sqdn "Cobras" skin for this beauty?
  12. The Indian AF had tried integrating the R-27 to the Mirage 2000H and weren't successful. May be its just for display and make people scratch theri heads how Iran was able to do it. How are they going to integrate the R-27's guidance to the Tomcat's radar?
  13. Really looking forward to this Veltro .
  14. Reporting for duty, saa' . I will have a lookie in my copy of Fiza'ya for PAF A-5 serials. But I see Paulo has it covered. Paulo, excellent work mate. The skins(espcially PAF & BAF) look . Keep up the great work .
  15. After a never ending wait, the Dassault Rafale has been chosen over the Eurofighter as IAF's next Multirole combat aircraft. Dassault turned out to be the lowest bidder.
  16. Happy Birthday
  17. Thanks a lot guys
  18. Alejandro, the Tejas in its current status is a bit different than the one you have modeled. You probably modeled the initial model. The Tejas that has received Initial Operational Clearance hand the one that will go into IAF service soon has an intake duct near the spot where the tail fin meets the spine:
  19. From what I have come to know from Retd Vice Admiral Pasricha, who flew Sea Hawsk off the INS Vikrant, those numbers were not given by the Navy. Whichever airframes had those numbers(074, 077 etc), they were all Ex-Royal Navy sea hawks refurbished for the Indian Navy. I will look into his book and PM you the list.
  20. In the Indian Air Force tender for 22 attack helicopters, the AH-64D beat the Mi-28N. Expect to see these in Indian Air Force colours soon .
  21. Thanks Dave. Can you do me a favour by sending the message to him on my behalf? I will PM you what has to be conveyed to him.
  22. Got my copy of this book recently. Its titled "Downward, Four Green" and its by Vice Admiral Vinod Pasricha (IN, Retd). The author was the former CO of the No.300 Sqdn "White tigers" , which during his time, was flying Sea Hawks. More info on the book here This the first attempt by an Indian author and a former Naval aviator to write an entire book dedicated to an aircraft. Its quite a big book and contains various section as mentioned in the link. It is like going back in time and actually witnessing Sea Hawk operations, right from its induction in the Navy, the troubles faced ,crashes, acquistion of German Sea Hawks etc. The author has gone painfully into detail in each & every section. I ended up being the first fellow to order this book and got it neatly autographed by the author himself .
