  1. satish is someone else. you know what my name is
  2. yeah, that was the reason the Indian Navy selected the MiG-29K over Su-33. It would barely have operated successfully from the Admiral Gorshkov(INS Vikramadtya).
  3. lindr2, NIce pics. Can't wait to seem them in Indian Navy colours. At Aero India 09, an official said the batch of first five MiG-29s(could be KUBs) have been handed over to Indian Navy pilots & technicians and they are undergoing a 5-month training course in Russia.
  4. It all started on Thursday last week. That morning I started my laptop and I got the dreaded blue screen when Windows XP was loading. It auto-rebooted and got the same blue screen again. I suspected the RAM got busted and send the laptop for repair. Yesterday evening I got the news that the HDD crashed and all data has been lost. RAM was ok. When the HDD was connected to a desktop PC(as secondary HDD), it was forcing the PC to restart just like the laptop. The technician spent half the day trying to recover the data from the HDD, but said he couldn't inspite of his best efforts. One of my friends suggested me to send the HDD to data recovery agencies, but said it might be very costly and there would be no guarantee that all data could be recovered. It is extremely frustrating and very painful to lose all my data... my photographs, videos I shot....so many things so very near & dear to me..All those things just vanished in an instant . I swear I will see to it that back up my data atleast once a week. Trust me, its not something I want to go through ever again in my life.
  5. Sorry guys. These skins are not going to see the light of the day. I lost all my stuff in a HD crash. I did the crime of not backing up my things on an external HD.....i lost my files, songs, movies, games, SF files(many of which are WIP)..... so many things which are impossible to replace.
  6. The proposed F-16IN would have a F-18 type refuelling probe to refuel from IAF IL-78 tankers. There was a painting of it somewhere
  7. Its that time of the year again when military jets from all over the world touch down in India for India's premier Air Show.... F16s, F-18s touch down in India for Aero India 2009
  8. India's C-130J Specs C-130J-30 & KC-130 specs integrated into one a/c?
  9. lindr2, how's this for a Su-30K? The IAF finflash, Black Hawk and "Hawks" are on a single decal. The easier option i.e painteing them on the bmp was proving to be a major headache. Hence I took the decal option. Does anyone have or can anyone suggest a good accurate font for making the nose serial numbers as in this pic?
  10. The MKI dons Indian colours Lot of work needs to be done.....
  11. :clapping: :ok: :ok: That was the camo sported by one of the MKI prototypes that crashed in England during an airshow in 1997. Can't wait to see it in No.20 Sdn Indian AF "Lightnings" markings & SB-XXX serial numbers . I bet kct would be willing to make RMAF markings & decals for it
  12. Cheers to Dave & to this great community
  13. lindr2, I am working on decals at the moment. I made a single decal with shorter "IAF finflash", Hawks logo & lettering in it. I scanned a photo from the Su-30 book and made a tga out of it. But I have a feeling I might have real trouble in getting the decals to align properly.
  14. IIRC it was being worked on as a payware. Would love to see an Alize as well. The Atlantique is looking really good. Nice work .
  15. The first batch of eight Su-30MK-1s (SB 001 - SB 008), delivered to the IAF, have evolved from the Su-27K long range interceptor, a two-seat fighter derivative of the Su-27PU, which in itself is a two-seat fighter derivative of the Su-27UB trainer. These aircraft have the standard Su-27 radar, an in-flight refuelling capability, limited air-to-ground capability and a data-link system. The second batch, originally built to fulfill a cancelled Indonesian order, of ten Su-30Ks (SB 009 - SB 018) have limited PGM (Precision Guided Munitions) capability.
  16. Deal Certainly those Ks were not capable for firing the R-77 or any ARH missile. The cockpit of the K is more closer to the Su-27's pit. All the above is from a book I have. thread here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=31127 I will look into the book if I can find some more info on its weapons, avionics etc of the Indian K/MK. The K has 10 weapon stations as opposed to 12 on the MKI.
  17. lindr2, The skin actually looks quite good. The decals sizes needs to be adjusted(which I did) and few minor details need to be added(including HAWKS logo on the fin). I can try & add them.
  18. May be copy/paste paste job of wings, fuselage from your Su-27 skin over Insky's Su-30 mapping would do the job ? There were four Su-30Ks painted in that scheme for Republic Day celebrations flypast over Rajpath,New Delhi. Serial numbers of those I will find from a book on Indian Flankers that I have.

  20. Su-30KH? right variant designation? you meant SU-30KN?
  21. I would love to make one. But I don't want to step onto someone's toes by making one. Thanks for confirming. The last I heard all airframes were stored at Bareilly airbase, former home of IAF's MiG-25R/RU sqdn.
  22. I was told that someone else is partly already working on it . Besides RL stuff has come up. I am finding it hard to put final touches on the Indian AF Mirage 2000TH skins I made for Florian's Mirage 2000D. Sadly those beautiful SU-30K/MKs are in storage now....the Hawks now fly the SU-30MKI. The Su-30K/MKs were supposed to be fly back to Russia for possible upgradation & sale to Belarus as Su-30KN? Any info on that?
  23. The latest version of Brahmos's surface to surface variant that was test fired day before yesterday is nuclear capable
