  1. the alpha you show in pic is reversed....when done painting...select area outside of the image and then select inverse then add as alpha.....save as tga not jpg...jpgs wont show transparencies it will be a block of white or black...

  3. as spinners says decal background should be square....actual decal can be any shape o\c...heres quick n easy method same with ps6 etc flag decal name is what you need.... so....say Wales Dragon.TGA in decal ini.... [Decal002] MeshName=Tail DecalLevel=2 you can make country specific decal levels for country with certain numbers if the flag is set specifically...look up decal tutorials in KB DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=Angel\Wales Dragon Position=-7.1957,1.270 Scale=1.40 DecalMaxLOD=3
  4. SSD Setup and drive cloning. Need help.

    New SSD`s are ready to go...you can just clone it ...or if you prefer just run windows system format....though I would just clone...when Ive added ssd win configures it if needed....though mostly todays are ready to go....I personally dont like cloning I rather instal windows then reinstall stuff after...cloning sometime they drag shit you dont need...possibly hidden spyware etc if any is there.
  5. Found a good tip to lessen or remove the dark \light joins between meshes on a cylinder shaped fuselage etc.... when you detatch meshes they usually look flat...using edit normals we can lessen is if not totally remove it... heres how.

  7. Did you select normal modifier then click it and select normals ?...in mod list window...if so make sure you select all normals you want to copy.
  8. Yep its a good tool....ive started redoing stuff with it like hawk etc....always annoyed me the time taken to do a clean model and shitty shading from normals screws it...not now eh lol. also saves having to meshsmooth a local area around doors etc,to get a smooth transition between edges.
  9. yeah I realised after...when cockpits are exported they are done so by setting the pivot at eye level and centre on a centred cockpit seat etc....so when you adjust a setting in seat position it just lowers and hightens the whol pit ...this setting allows pilot to move independent of cpit etc...at least his eyeline...lowering the Z axis worked...so his "head " isnt so high up...

    Add one ghost tank to a pylon and it will be available to rest....should then be able to have black or grey.

  16. Noticed a minor thing...Flaps on take off set to take off then landing....IIRC the flap t\o angle for the F5 was about 27 deg and landing 35-45...

    I couldnt get it to show no matter what so redid it using the MK51...works ok now just rename as you like...will have some tanks on new Hawk when done...if got time will make sone new ones for you...gimme few days Tank100_Mk51B.7z

  22. MARCFIGHTERS SU-27 Some detail shots of some work done. Total Reamp...as there was a lot of stretching and gaps...except Tails ..as they are fine Rebuilt gears,front still underway new lights,some to do, Total new cockpit and canopy, (Old didnt function) Rebuilt Naccelles,and Burners etc,added some details etc....(effects) some reshaping....didnt overextend otherwise would have meant total rebuild (no time) think thats most of it... under way... New pylons, nose gear half done IRST revamp various antennae Repaint all thos nice lines and rivets......hmmmm should be fun ha j/k....thats what I like doing... update as and when complete

Anyone managed to get a plane skin texture to show on a cockpit...my stumbling block is canopy and nose needs one of the textures from planes folder...so engine cowl uses planes colour...say for instance red camo also canopy framing uses red scheme... my prob is then if you fly a blue skin,the cockpit framing and engine cowl still shows as red .. any ideas how to get cockpit to recognise different texturesets if possible...? TIA
  24. No m8.....its just flight but One I got for FSX..I did conversion from a MDL....im talking to Just Flight guys at about modding it...hence the post above. and IMO it looks just as good in SF2 with some fiddling to textures etc.
