Chief, we are all thinking of you. It's tuff to lose a pet, they have a way of making themselves an important member of the family. We just got a new pup here last week, after being petless for years, and the little cutie is already worming her way into my heart.

I'm running the following: MSI K7T266Pro2-RU Athlon 1800+ (Overclocked to +2100) 512Mb PC2100 RAM ATI Radeon 9600Pro 128Meg w/Catalyst 3.6 drivers DirectX 9.0b 80Gb Maxtor Drive 48x LiteOn CD-R drive WinXP Pro SP1 CH Products ForceFX/Pro Throttle/Pro Pedals HOTAS setup TrackIR unit w/2.11 driver I've got most of my settings pretty high, and 2K4 is running perfect here. -

Shepski, thanks for the comments! I loved the detail on this one. The trucks driving by, the Sky Hussars, it was all cool. Well, until I got to the part where the Su-25 didn't line up on the runway and tried to take off across the grass and slammed into the perimeter fence. I chalked it up to a beta thing... You did a good job on the training missions!

That's your local LAN connection, which is probably running at 100Mb. Even on a fast 1.5Mb cable connection that would only show as 1.5% of your network usage.

Shockwave posted the chat log from last night's IRC session on the #lomac channel. There some new stuff, but one bit of bad news; The game release date has been pushed back to Winter 2003. Personally I don't care as long as they get it right! It could be they are just giving themselves some breathing room, but I guess time will tell. :D

Yeah, they do sound realistic. I've seen A-10's up close doing demo shows and they sound exactly like what I'm hearing in the sim. -

I dropped some russian anti-runway ordanance on an airfield in an Su-25 and it did leave small craters on the field. Not sure if they were just placeholder graphics or the real thing, as they seemed a little small. But yes, they definately left a mark.

Just picked it up at Costco today for $46, installing as I type. The metal case was a nice touch, it looks really nice on my shelf!
