Photo Recon in the Bering Straits.... That's a lot of cold down there..... Feet dry, turning for the run in.... There were Mig-23's launching for an intercept. My wingman killed the first two, I nailed 1 with a head on shot, and the last one caught a missile on takeoff as we crossed the target, got the photos, and beat feet.

Speaking for myself, I'm interested in the new variants. The incremental changes mirror what happened in the RW, and helps game immersion.

This is my wingman. His job is to cover my butt from any threats, air & ground........... Using the terrain as cover on the target run in. On exiting this valley, an SA-9 was identified for him to kill as it was the deadliest threat.... The runway died, but so did I. That flaming pile of metal underneath my wingman is what I became after that same SA-9 hit me twice in rapid succession. He missed it..

I had given some thought to the ranks & titles used by the Roman Legions, but looking deeper, the structure of it (while extremely logical) seems much too cumbersome for what you're looking for.
