Hi, I know this is more technical but it does have an impact on sf. I just put the vista 32 bit os pc to sleep for 20 minutes and when I went to start up by touching mouse, it only showed desktop background and no sf 2 icons or any other icons for that matter. I put it on slep again by clicking on keyboard and it came to normal. Before this, i did a factory install because the destop wouldn;t show and got black screen consistently. It wiped out my sf 2 and 1 installs. I dont know what to do now. i have to reintsall my sf2 and 1's but am afraid of this happenign again. Does anyone here know how to fix this sleep mode or what do you guys use in this case? I am not sue if hibernate works or power settings in vista need to be chgd. If so to what? This is killing my sf 2 and 1 experience.

Hi, I rodered mine via their e-shop. uestion is how do you burn the files to dvd with dvd writer on pc? Theres 3 files and I use poweriso to burn to disc. i know how to do a single iso but theres 3 files. Do we need to make 2 discs or 1 dvd disc. I dont want the files to be lost on my hardrive.

forgive me but where is checkdisk? is that under accessories in vista? only see disk defrag.

You cant see anything to copy anything over to the unaffected account from the screwed up account. I just have tons of files from serveral sims including sf2 and other important docs. You cannot see anything at all. If you go into folders, it freezes the machine. All i get is the mouse pointer and the taskbar below. You can open programs from start menu but to access c drive and folders, you cant. I tried the hit shift key 5 times trick to get ease of access link which opens the desktop but now that does not work. I am currently doing a scan with avast antivrus program. If this doesnt work dont know what else.

Hi, folks. I am trying to solve this problem. I cant get access to my destop at all. I can email and do internet however. i also can go into another user account and it does not happen there. Only thing is many sf2 files are inthe corrupted user account. I have tried so many fixes and no go including microsoft's fixes. I found this article and wonder if anyone knows how to get to gpedit.msc”. and local policy to security options in UAC. i tried looking for gpedit.msc and its not there. Hi, Looks like I got it back but had to do a net search. found an articel. It said to hit left shift key 5 times and you get a box that takes you to ease of access link. from there you can get to desktop and turn off Windows error reporting and 2 other windows reporting items. Apparently those were causing it. if I find article again, I post here. this raised my bloodpresure above normal and lost gaming time. Microsoft shd be held responsible for this besides giving us windows 7. Need some kinda compensation,preferably monetary. The average pc user should not have to go thru this. Hi, yep tried that and no go. However, i was able to create a new user account and now i have icons from desktop. programs are still there including sf1 and 2 and all other games.However, Everything that I downloaded form net is not in the new user icon. I created a user account with admin privileges. The old one without is still there but I still get the black screen on tha one but all my files are inaccessible. i also nloticed 2 Microsoft updates were installed on the 20th. I wonder if this is a cause because off the net users reported that Microsoft security updates were causing problems or black screen. Does anyone else have this or could access their old user accounts. this is only soilution i know of but all the files I dowloaded for games or izarc files are now nonaccesible.

Hi folks. I am sure you have heard of this beofre and I tried troubleshooting but still cant fix this. I get the black screen with no destop icons excpet the taskbar and start menu. I cant access folders or go into c drive. it happens in safe and normal windowws modes. i ran antivirus and no go. i have avast which runs in realtime and was updated today. i tried vista recovery dsik to repair windows and no go there. i am able to get internet and email as i write this. it was working fine around a few hrs back. All i was doing was burning sf2 files to cd to backup. My hardrive still has 10GB disk space. I dont know what else? any advice here?

Looks good. i know this may be strange, but have you considered putting this for Indian air force. I loved the Mirage 2000d skins so much for sf2 that i madea separate install for that. I would think fictional skins for this would be good.
