  5. The locations thing was made to sort out the AI flights for single missions, Syrian kites starting from Syrian airbases only, Egyptian kites from Egyptian bases and so on. Only in IsraelME so far because it has more than 2 nations involved inthe action. Or something like that.
  6. Aha.. but thats not LITE anymore !!!! LOL You can place ship waypoints on land though, and vehicle waypoints on water. But they cant be moved around then.
  7. Tiles have nothing to do with it... well generally. The editor needs some water defined so that we can access the ships list, but you can always move the ships around once placed. So a small pond in a overall desert map is enough
  8. for stock terrains, make sure that the main inis do have the new entry (should be all set for unmodded stock terrains): ... WaterMap=xxxxx_Water.bmp where xxxxx is the name of the terrain

  12. yea, seems like that is a XP/ DX9 users specific problem, maybe a mesh issue ( no material assigned or some bloody thing) I have the same, F1 and F2 lightnings only for me, others are OK Other Lightning pits with the speed tape, theres a small bright white extra bar moving with the tape which I think is the same problem..

  14. the solution is to make new water bmp files for each terrain, they are in 256 color bmp format and all main terrain ini files ( e.g. DBS.ini ) need the new line for the bmp added, like [Terrain] ... WaterMap=DBS_Water.bmp EDIT: added DBS_WATER.BMP DBS_water.7z
  15. ok, found out why it did not work for me with stock desert map. I still had the old DESERT.ini inside the folder which was not updated with the new line for water bmp
  16. update.. works for me on DBS, but I had to zoom in to get stock and add-on ships to be selectable in the GO list
  17. also add this line to the terrains main ini : [Terrain] ... WaterMap=terrainname_Water.bmp
  18. Same for stock maps, then default Tanker and CargoShip dont show in the GO list might be not related to the new water bmps at all.. something else..
  19. Yea, the bloody ships dont show in the GO list .. weird .. only got one add-on carrier to select so far I made a water bmp for DBS map, experiments continue...
  20. thats what the new water bmp files are for, e.g desert_water.bmp its a 512x512x8 bbp BMP format file , see it attached, converted to jpg. Seems like all 3rd party terrains need a new custonm file to make it work with the msn editor for placing ships. Should be doable by exporting the map with the terrain editor then recoloring and saving in 8bbp BMP format, or maybe in some other way
