This was an accomplishment for me. I am really bad at landing, and this time I took a LA-7 in with loss of engine power, and only one landing gear, and executed a perfect landing, balancing the plane using the rudder and ailerons to unicycle it to a suitable stopping speed. Notice everything is intact exept for the right gear.

got it to work on the LA7, but you were right the response time is much slower than in IL2, christ in IL2 you could just use the throttle to fly the plane. The trimming seems to be a bit touchier, I dont use it in combat, but I hate having to use the stick when I'm taking off, and trying to find a suitable climb angle.

Ya im using the two rotaries. One for elevator, and the other for ailerons, and none of it is working. It's wierd, I'll probably figure it out eventually. I remember the 109's having odd trim control, actually it always seemed to me in IL2 that the Kraut planes weren't all that trimable, but the russian planes were. Could just be me.

Got any answers?

Oh ya, I forgot I cant get my trim to work to save my ass. Using the same set up with my X45, and the same button mapping as I used in IL2, but the trim aint workin.

As VF143 is in a kind of hold pattern now, I cant really say much, but when LOMAC comes out I'm certain that we will be part of the squad vs squad play.

Ya it would be great to fix a few of those sound bugs, anybody think of any other bugs, I havent noticed any others. This game is great! I hope the patches for FB are like the ones for IL2, 1st one for fixin the few bugs, and the rest are just add ons. :D They'll never add the spit.

I'm still finding the cookies to be a pain in the ass (MJ) knows what I'm talkin about, I keep getting this INVALID SESSION sign when I try to post (I'm using my sisters cpu now, so I can post). But my cookies on aol are messed up, I have tried all settings, and deleted some cookies, and nothing seems to work consistently. Does anybody else have aol, and have you had problems with the cookies before, if so how did you get them all sorted out?

I was thinking of making a "Swiss Cheese" skin for the I-16 type 24/38/whatever, no markings just a big block of flying swiss cheese... cause thats what it is and I love the damn thing. Unfortunately my artistic abilities are near nil, so if anyone out there thinks this is a good/funny idea, and has skinning ability, let me know. 8) Cheers, Jay

Got the game like 3 days ago, and I am completely consumed. Stuck on Level 4 though, but I'll sort it out. God Damn this game is HOT! :D

Hyperlobby is the only way to go for this game, but as cheif said, we are all waiting on patch 2... mp is not really all that good right now. EDIT: dont know why I am telling JD this, as I have seen him on the HL.

Now lets be rational, try and make this a thread about his mind not as a joke. I've noticed that the man believes he is invincible, and so do his sons. I wonder though if this is some sort of propaganda ploy, or if he goes to bed thinking that he really is some kind of unstopable force. It's like he cannot be deterred, and his sons have seemed to have picked up this trait. I wonder if he'll go like Hitler, or like Macbeth (in the play). Or perhaps he will go without fear in his eyes. Hitler blew out his brains, Macbeth (in the play) sat at his thrown and pouted. Will we arrest him, or will we just shoot him. Will we ever find him? Perhaps he would like to lead his troops out. I think if he plans on going as some sort of martre then this is what makes him a madman, you can be a prick and kill your own people, but to stand without fear of anything, because one has created this pedestal for themself, is truly a definition of insanity and absurd vanity. Is he rolling around in his bed, believing that his time is nearly up, or is he dreaming of victory. I personally would like our boys to capture him, and then stick him in a little rubber room, and study his twisted mind. Just a little odd thought from me, what makes a man's ego so large that they feel invincible?

Ya I've been ripped by Blitz Pig Buzz, a number of times on the IL2 forum, and it was just because he's a prick, I was really chill back when I went to that forum. Always wondered why we didnt have an IL2 forum here, thanks Jeff for making one for FB! :D
