Some one is apparently working on it, and he told me that it would be ready in two week's. -
Oh I'm sure he'll come up with something, blaming the Infidel media for one.

Guess my name can be added to the offender's list as well, with me just recently asking Capun if any update was available fon the HF-24 I never really thought about it the way USAF mentioned it, I honestly believed that occassionally asking someone about the progress of their project showed how much one appreciated their work, oh well guess when it's asked by a large number of people on a constant basis it can get rather annonying. I apologise.

Now that I've FINALLY managed to get internet access once again, I gave RussoUK's Lightning FMK6 a try and I have to say the model is just awesome, I do however have one question, how accurately is it's acceleration reflected by the current version of the model ? Please do not mistake this as a jab at the guy's work, it's just that the one time I was fortunate enough to see this beast in person it took off like a freakin rocket and the acceleration was astounding. In game though, the acceleration of the beast seem's to be a bit, lethargic. Any suggestion's of what ini file's need to be edited to more accurately reflect the real acceleration and rate of climb ?

[Rant mode on] What a load of horse**** ! If you're willing to wear the uniform you should be willing to accept the responsibility that come's along with it. I was in the Canadian Forces (Army) for four's year's and got deployed oversea's for a while (former Yugo), was I scared ? Yes. But I was fully aware of what the job entailed, prior to joining up and knew I could be placed in some not so pleasant situation's. If you're joining the Armed Force's of your country, know that the uniform isn't only something you wear to look sharp in but that it also represent's sacrifice amongst other's. We had a select few who tried to pull all kind of S**T to not get deployed, well in that case you should'nt have joined for ***** sake.....exhale...sigh [Rant mode off] @Major Lee: Good to see that your son made it back safely and in good health.

Japanese F-2B Fighter crashes on takeoff
Atreides replied to lazboy's topic in Military and General Aviation
I know this is somewhat offtopic, but the focus is still the F-2. The link below is for the Keypublishing forum's, which if I'm not mistaken is fairly reputable. What I fail to understand is the outright negative view of the F2 I find it rather amusing that the Chinese are bashing the F2 and calling it junk Did it really fail that miserably to meet the JASDF expectations ? http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=63520&highlight=F2 EDIT: Just to be clear so that there are no misunderstanding's, what little I know about the F-2A/B say's that it's very capable. I really like the aircraft, love the look's, but what (again) blew me away was that the Chinese member's were bashing it ! Aside from a few pathetic J-10's and a few SU-27's what do they have in their arsenal that could pose a threat to the F-2 ? -
Nice. Thanks.

What do you call a Scotsman with a sheep under one arm and a goat under the other ? Bi-sexual. Why do Scotsman wear kilts ? Cause sheep can hear zippers.

SuperHornets/Four Corners Story
Atreides replied to SayethWhaaaa's topic in Military and General Aviation
What do you think the right choice would have been ? Based on their spending budget and requirement's. For some reason I doubt that the RAAF is going to go the European route, the Mirage III probably being their last purchase from that continent, just a guess, I could be waaay of the mark. -

On computer plane you fly -
These are the only one's I've been able to find to far, I can scan the article on them from a magazine at high res but the problem is I don't have web access at the momment and won't have it at home till Saturday. I'll poke around the web and see if I can find better one's. As per aircraft resource centre:VMFA(AW)-121 GREEN KNIGHTS was the first squadron to transition to the F/A-18D and the only F/A-18D squadron to take part in Operation Desert Storm in 1991. EDIT: This was the best I could do, I think this would look just as sick on a singleseater Hornet, not accurate I know but certainly one of the best.

ZA-9 Kestrel Beta 1.0
Atreides replied to Julhelm's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
Fantastic looking model can't wait to try it once I've got my internet access again, damn ISP. -
Would someone be willing to do the skin for this unit ? Please and pretty please ! If I'm not mistaken the unit was one of the first to convert to the F/A-18D and I know that we don't have one for SFP1 but I was wondering if one could be done to be applied to a regular 18. So yeah, that's pretty much it. Apologies' if this skin has already been done and is available in one of the skin pack's, I've just moved and therefore have no internet access from home until next week and school frown's upon downloading stuff, I've already been caught on more than one occassion.

I don't blame HAL, it's the moronic politician's who have probably (as alway's) played a role in it's delay looking for fringe benefit's. Wait a sec, did'nt HAL change it's decision at the last minute on the LCA's radar and they're now looking for a new one ? -
Maybe they're going to vote for the column5 website as the "Infidel website of the week"

Iran to buy 24 J-10 jet fighters from China
Atreides posted a topic in Military and General Aviation
Apologies if this is old news ! By Yossi Melman Iran has signed a deal with China to buy two squadrons of J-10 fighter planes that are based on Israeli technology, the Russian news agency Novosti reported yesterday. The 24 aircraft are based on technology and components provided to China by Israel following the cancellation of the Lavi project in the mid-1980s. The engines of the J-10 are Russian-made. The total cost of the planes is estimated at $1 billion, and deliveries are expected between 2008 and 2010. The estimated operational range of the aircraft, with external fuel tanks, is 3,000 kilometers, which means Israel falls within their radius of operation. During the 1980s, Israel Aircraft Industries, along with U.S. firms, developed a multi-role aircraft that was considered the most advanced of its type at the time. Following the development of a prototype, the Reagan administration stopped funding, bringing about the cancellation of the joint project. Israel then began selling some of the systems it had developed to various countries, including China. Experts point out that even with these aircraft, Iran's air force is no match for Israel's or even Saudi Arabia's. Some analysts expressed criticism at what they called Israel's "short sighted" and lax export policies. This is not the first time Israeli components were part of weapons systems aimed at Israel. Some reports claimed that China sold Saudi Arabia long-range missiles containing Israeli know-how. http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/916335.html
