  1. SF2 WW2 ETO Spitfire Mk.V Pak by Cocas Aircraft Factory & Co (ver 0.9)

SF2 WW2 ETO Spitfire Mk.V Pak by Cocas Aircraft Factory & Co (ver 0.9) 12/10/2013

-- Something for the ETO players --

    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: having whichever expansion pak gave us the Spit Mk. IX is required, as this mod references the stock 3W
    destroyed Spitfire*

This is tagged as Ver 0.9, as we're sure minor fixes may be required.

Skins included with the package are:

    RAF:
    No. 92 "East India" Squadron
No. 610 "County of Chester" Squadron

    USAAF:
    336th FS, 4th FG "Rocketeers" (circa 9/42)*

(*Please note, as ex-Eagle Squadron aircraft, they still carry their RAF squadron code letters. The standard 4th FG codes did -not- appear until after transitioning to Thunderbolts)
Squadron crests, or in AAF cases the squadron patch, are used as the paint chip, seen on the loadout screen.

This pack makes use of the Brain32 trick of having the skin maps in the MAIN aircraft folder, NOT in the individual squadron folders. As all ETO Spitfires were painted the same camo, this reduces the size of the package. Only the markings (squadron codes, national insignia) change.

All marking are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. Other squadrons, RAF or USAAF, can easily be done by creating new squadron code letters. The AAF skin is set to start in September, 1942, as this is approximately correct for the 4th FGs formation. The Userlist ini has dates rounded to the closest whole month. SF2 versions of my "box art" style hangar and loading screens are included.

All aircraft use a "pool" of plane-in-group letters, and serial numbers. The serial numbers, while 'generic' in nature (representing no particular aircraft), ARE correct for the variant depicted.
The canopy operates via the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0. Guns are also grouped, MGs in Group 1, the cannon in Group 2.

    When in game, you'll see:

    Spitfire Mk.Vb (CAF)

on the aircraft selection dropdown menu. This will diferentiate =THIS= Spitfire from any other Mk.Vs you may (or may not) have.

The skin template is NOT included, as it's being used for other variants. When those are finished, and released, the template will be also (in the hopes someone can fine tune OUT my mistakes! <grin>).

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them.

    Good Hunting!

  2. SF2 WW2 ETO P-47C/D, 334th FS, 4th FG Skinpak

    SF2 WW2 ETO P-47C/D, 334th FS, 4th FG Skinpak 1/5/2014

-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --

    = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

    A slight reskinning/rebadging for Wolf's P-47 (Razorback), represents the 334th
FS, 4th FG shortly after converting from Spitfires to early P-47
    "Thunderbolts".

This package is designed to work on/with my "P-47C/D (Early) Pak", available at
    the following url:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/13740-sf2-ww2-eto-p-47cd-early-pak/

Included is a slightly modified data ini, with corrected operation dates,
rounded to closest whole month. (you may with to back up the original data ini,
as a 'just in case', before installing this pak)
No weapons or pilot figures are included; you should have them already. The
skin is in jpg format, and decal randomization is TRUE.
The other 3 squadrons of the 4th can be easily recreated, by simple making a
    "SCode.tga" (squadron code letter decal).

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are
    included. So, please read them.

    Happy Landings!!

  3. SF2 WW2 Hurricane IIb RAF, CBI

    SF2 WW2 Hurricane IIb RAF, CBI 12/15/2013

    = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

    - For WW2 CBI Usage =ONLY!= -

*Note: There is a distinct possibility that this mod MAY work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs. However, many features will not be functional. End Users that choose to use this in SF/Wo* do so on their own.*

While this mod CAN be used on the older (earlier) releases of the Hurricane, it's designed for use on the latest Hurricane IIB Ver 3.0 (hence it's delayed release), available at the following URL:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/13630-hurricane-mkiib/

The skin represents No.17 Squadron, when they first arrived in theatre (India) in late 1941/early 42, and as used in Burma. The skin remains in BMP format. All markings are decals, and Decal Randomization is TRUE.

Included are modified main and data inis that have some very minor changes (component removals, new engine sound, slightly repositioned pilot, and so forth).

An SF2-converted version of the NEW 44 gallon drop tank (from V.3) is included; everything else you should already have. A new hangar screen, somewhat theatre themed, is included.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please -READ- them. In fact, as we're creating a theatre-specific version, READ the install instructions AFTER unzipping, but BEFORE installing this mod!!! Seriously, DO it!!!
Also, give the "Notes" section a read too for futher explinations, clarifactions, illuminations and so forth.

  4. SF2 WW2 Spitfire Mk.VIII, RAF, CBI by Mod Mafia/TMF

    SF2 WW2 Spitfire Mk.VIII, RAF, CBI by Mod Mafia/TMF 12/15/2013

    = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

    - For WW2 CBI Usage =ONLY!= -

*Note: There is a distinct possibility that this mod MAY work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs.
However, some data ini statements will not be in effect in 1stGen SF/Wo* at any patch level (with the possible exception of WoI plus it's ExpansionPak -this has not been tested, as I ONLY mod for SF2). It is designed for use in SF2, at the most current patch level. Your milage will vary!*

*Note2: it's RECCOMENDED you have whichever SF2 Expansion pak that gave us the Spit 9s. This mod references that destroyed model for it's own use*

This is a reskin/redecalling of the TMF Mk.VIII Spit for use by the Royal Air Force in the China/Burma/India (although, truthfully, only in India and Burma!). However, in the case of simplifying installation, this is the FULL aircraft. This makes is easier.

    Skin/Decals set included is for:

No. 81 Squadron, RAF as delivered in 1943

The aircraft is finished in standard SEA Scheme (Dark Green/Dark Earth/Lt Grey unders).
The skin is in jpg format, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. It reuses the SF2 version of the 'box art' hangar screen as originally issued with the RAAF Spit 8.

All markings are decals (excepting National Markings, these are painted on); making it supremely easy to recreate other squadron users. Serial numbers are for Mk.VIIIs, but should be considered 'generic' in nature.

This is a (semi) "nationalized" version, for RAF Burma/India use =ONLY=. Meaning: for a CBI-centric mods folder. All weapons, sounds, pilot figure(s) (including the 'fake pilot') are included.
The Canopy opens with the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0
    Damage textures are DDS.

When 'in game', you'll see "Spitfire Mk.VIII (TMF) B/I" in the aircraft selection drop-down window. This will diferentiate it from any other Mk.VIIIs you may (or may not) have .

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please -READ- them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too for futher explinations, clarifactions, illuminations and so forth.

  5. SF2 WW2 P-47D Bubbletop, 92st FS, CBI, Skin/Decal Pak

    SF2 WW2 P-47D Bubbletop, 92st FS, CBI, Skin/Decal Pak 12/13/2013

-- Something for the WW2 CBI players --

= For SF2 ONLY (Any and All) =

**Note: this mod is designed for use =ONLY= in a WW2 CBI-Centric mods folder. In fact,
research seems to indicate this unit (81st FG) operated only over China from mid-1944*

New skin and decal set for Wolf257's P-47D-20 Razorback Thunderbolt, recreate the 92st FS,
81st FG as seen in China from mid-1944 thru war's end. Conside this a compaion set for the
91st FS's Razorbacks. The only non-historical bit, is the vertical squadron rudder/fin ID
stripe was solid, not broken so the serial can be seen. In Real Life ™, the serial
numbers may have been painted over by the stripe.

The included data ini has several changes (listed below in "Change List") for CBI (and
    specificly China) usage ONLY!!!

The skin is in jpg format, and decal randomization is TRUE. The serial numbers, while
'generic' in nature, ARE correct for the model variant depicted.
The data ini supplied here in the main aircraft folder, is a theatre-specific data ini,
with the approximated start date/month of P-47 operations in the CBI. I made the assumption
(oh! that word!!) that Bubbletops started appearing within a few months of the Razorbacks.
Which is a different timeframe then the ETO or MTO.

Like the recently released mod for the Razorback, some of these changes and additions can
be used for any of Wolf's Bubbletop Jugs for ETO or MTO usage (after removal of the ADF
    loop statements, of course!)

    REMINDER!! Jugs in the PTO (ie: SoWesPac and Central Pacific), did =NOT= use the DF loop;
it is a CBI thing only. Once again, making the point of having a CBI-0nly Mods Folder.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE
    read them!!

  6. SF2 WW2 ADF Loop Antennas for CBI Usage

SF2 WW2 ADF Loop Antennas for CBI Usage 12/14/2013

-- Something for the CBI players --

    = For SF2, (Any and All) =

*Note: may also be usable in 1stGen SF/Wo*; 08 level probable. 06 Level unknown*

Two versions of Russo's ADF loop antenna as used by US aircraft in the China/Burma/India theatre in WW2.

One is standard Olive Drab (for standard OD painted aircraft)

The other is Natural Metal (for non-painted, NM aircraft)

These are added via the "fake pilot" method, as seen on the recently released P-40K-5 mod and the P-47D Razorback for China. The "fake pilot" is included as well.
The psd template, for those that want any other colors, is provided in the OD Loop's folder.

As always, relatively (speaking) easy to follow, but highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.

  7. WW2 Eastern China Terrain for SF2

    WW2 Eastern China Terrain for SF2 11/18/2013

    - For SF2, Any & All (Full-5 Merged Reccomended)

= For Adventures in The Far East =

*Note: This pack is designed to REPLACE, in total, any eariler versions of this terrain.*

**Note2: IMPORTANT! Make sure you have the WW2 ground objects!!**

This map repsents Eastern China (mainland), Formosa, the South China Sea regions from Chan-Chiang (Fort Bayard) in the south to Shanghai in the north, Taipei in the East and Chungking in the west. It has been COMPLETLY rebuilt from the original; almost nothing from the original remains, excepting perhaps the shapes of the land masses and oceans.

The map depicts the region in approximately mid-late 1943. Some Friendly sites were eventually captured during Japanese operations in late 44. To that end, I've left 2 maps in the "extra bits" folder, showing the Japanese routes, for any campaign builders.

The LimitedNations statement is set to TRUE, allowing only for the regional powers that took part. The terrain also makes use of the 'Allowed Missions' statement, as there are NO Friendly shipping routes for IJAAF/IJN forces to attack (although I wish we COULD use the rivers for such...they're just a bit too narrow). All other missions statement, for both sides, remain intact.

LOTS of new tiles and their associated TODs have been created, and match the GH3 styling. There is also, as expected, a few Easter Eggs.

Also included are several GroundObjects, (repaints/repurposing of 2 of Kesselbruts' Zil truck for IJA usage) and etc seen in my other terrain mods. These are designed to REPLACE any pre-existing ones I've done. Be advised, you'll still need many of the other WW2 PTO objects I've included in other terrain mod paks. Make sure you have them!!!

REMEMBER: you will need the latest WW2 weapons and Guns pack!

**Geophysical Disclaimer: some rivers and other water features may not follow their Real Life ™ courses, or be placed in their Real Life ™ locations, or exist at all. Several cities and other physical features may also fall into that classification. Some cities exist as 'named places' only. Some exist only as 'city tiles' sitting on the landscape. Some airfields may not be in their historical locaitons or headings due to Height Field and other tiling restrictions.**

As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended you READ this document through after unzipping, but BEFORE installing.
As always, the Notes and Other Nonesense section may make for entertaining reading.

Please also read -and OBEY- the New Standard Usage Discalimer, as it's been modified to reflect changes in my policy. It's listed at the bottom, in the Legal Statement Section, with the URL back to the CA post.

    SF2 WW2 Ki-43iib, 25 Sentai, 2 Chutai, China Skin/Decal Pak 12/11/2013

**Note: this mod is designed for use =ONLY= in a WW2 CBI-Centric mods folder In fact, 25 Sentai seems to have =ONLY= operated over China, not further out into Burma/Indochina.**

This pak is to be applied to the Ki-43 Oscar Pak (original aircraft by Wolf257), available at the following URL:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/13248-sf2-ki-43-hayabusa-oscar-pak-by-wolf257/

This pack depicts 2nd Chutai, 25th Sentai, IJAAF over China in late 43 thru late 44 timeframe (actully, unitl war's end).
As all Wolf's Oscars are the same, it can be used on any other of the various marks available in the pack listed above.
As the Chutai marking is a decal, one can easily recreate the other Chutai by making a new one, in that Chutai color. A psd is provided for those with the talent and willlingness to do so. Of course, new plane-in-group number decals will also need creation; that also up to those End Users ™ that choose to take on the task.
As you can guess, the Chutai markings and numbers are decals. Decal randomization is TRUE.

    When in game, you'll see

    25 Sentai, 2 Chutai (China)

  10. SF2 WW2 F-6D (RF-51D) Mustang Skin/Decal Pak

    SF2 WW2 F-6D (RF-51D) Mustang Skin/Decal Pak 12/05/2013

    -- Something for the WW2 players --

    = For SF2 =ONLY=, Full-5 Merged, plus ExPak 1 (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: must have the SF2I Expansion Pak (whichever one gave us the Mustang) in your Merged Installs, due to this aircraft referencing the Stock 3rd Wire Mustang serial number decals*

A simple reskin for the KAW Era RF-51D, creates a "Plane Jane" F6D Mustang for WW2 usage. The aircrat has no squadron or other type of markings. This makes it usable in any theatre. However, it should be noted, SOME units did have their own markings. Consider THIS skin for exactly what it is: Generic ™

To be used on the KAW RF-51D; the aircraft is available at the following URL:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/13518-sf2-kaw-rf-51d-mustang/

Like the original, it uses DDS textues, and will NOT work in any 1stGen game installs at all.
This skin uses the "StartDefaultDate=" statement, so as to start in 1944 (aircraft's default in service year).
National markings are painted on; decal randomization (for the serials) is TRUE

    When in game, you'll see:

    "Natural Metal (WW2)

on the skin selection drop down menu.

REMINDER: you MUST have the RF-51D installed BEFORE installing this skinpak. See "To Insall" for more details

-- Something for the WW2 PTO players --

(decal randomization) will =NOT= be functional. Use in 1stGens has not, and cannot be,
    tested by me.*

**Note x2: this mod is designed for use =ONLY= in a WW2 CBI-Centric mods folder. Some
Theatre specific changes have been effected, and should =ONLY= be used in the CBI!!!**

This is =NOT= the full aircraft; you'll be adding all this stuff to the original.
Some mods, tweeks, and 2 new skin/decal sets for Raven's P-40K-5-CU Warhawk, is seen in
    China durning WW2.

Included are 2 skins for the 23rd FG, aka "Flying Tigers"

    74th Fighter Squadron, in late 42 (star-and-ball)

    75th Fighter Squadron, in late 43 (star-and-bar)

The squadron patch (ww2 versions!) will be seen as the paint chip for each skin on the
    Loadout screen.
Skins remain in their bmp format.
New DDS damage textures (usable on all Raven's Warhawk/Kittyhawk in SF2 only) are
    included!
    Several new inis are included;

    main
    Data
    Loadout
    Userlist

The data ini makes use of my "kit-bashed" FM, that while (semi) SF2-compliant, still
needs fine tuning by an Expert. At least now, it won't mush into the ground and explode.
You are advised to back up your original inis, and full instructions are in the "To
    Install" section.
The DF Loop antenna has been added via the 'fake pilot' method
Canopy Opens/Closes via the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0.

All markings are decals, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. There are no nose arts. Also,
via the use of my (patent pending) fake SqTail decal, the squadron name display is now
active on the Loadout Screen (74th only).

No weapons are included, except SF2 Versions of the new bombs (for those that haven't
    converted them yet).
New SF-2 compliant "Box Art" style Hangar and Loading screens are included, too.

The skins have been run through the template (thank you Raven for that!), and have had a
layer of dirt and 'clouds' added for weathering.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE
    read them!!

This is the collection, once posted at SimHQ of various and sundry buildings for use by
terrain builders to add a to the target areas when building terrains. It is being
reposted here at CA by request. Originally, it was NOT supposed to be posted elsewhere
(than the original a SHQ), but as so much time has passed ... my judgement call is
    sharing is allowed.

Thses objects will work perfectly in ANY of the 3W series: SF/Wo* 1stGens, SF2, and
    FE/FE2.
This has been tested by me, over the years in ALL versions of the game.

While more designed with WW2 Pacific (including CBI) in mind, they can be used even
Europe and North Africa/Med. Well, pretty much anywhere that catches your fancy.
    Even unto Modern Times ™.

Included, of course, are Polak's original readme, and the config files: a Desert_targets
and Desert_types inis that lists the various objects for importation to other terrains.

I've gone through all the skin tgas, and have painted out the odd green color, so they
should look a bit better. However, that does NOT fix certain visual issues with some of
the models from close up and at some angles. Also, there are a couple of them that
simply do NOT work at all; they will cause CTDs or other game issues. Unfortunately, I
don't remember exactly WHICH ones they are.

Be adivsed: the _types listing is AS RELEASED in 2007 and/or 2009 (I think I made some
changes back then). It does NOT reflect those change I do when adding them to my terrain
works. This means the destroyed models, destroyed effects and secondary effects listed
are NOT proper and correct. YOU will need to make the adjustments (or locate the object
in the multitude of types inis from MY terrain mods, and copy/paste!)

This is =NOT= a package of objects that can be used by the 'general masses'. It is being
rereleased for those terraformers that can actually make use of them.

As always READ Polak's readme, enclosed in the 'readme_and_configuration files' folder.

    Happy Targeting!!

  14. SF2 WW2 ETO RAF Catalina (PBY-5a) Skin/Ini Pak

    SF2 WW2 ETO RAF Catalina (PBY-5a) Skin/Ini Pak 11/11/2013

-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --

    = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

A new skin, and some ini updates for Veltro's Catalina. This skin is for No.210 Squadron, RAF Costal Command as seen approx late 1941. This is an ETO =ONLY= skin, so install the aircraft accordingly!!!

This skin/ini package is to be applied to the PBY-5A Reissue Pak, available at the following url:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/14092-sf2-ww2-pby-5a-catalina-by-veltro2k/

You are =exceedingly= advised to back up some of the inis, and these are listed in the "To Install" section. Also, see the "Notes" section for historical comments.

All new 100% historically accurate serials numbers are included. It should ben noted, that although the serials ARE aircraft used by 210 Squadron, there was no way to match plane-in-group letter to serial. Also, as stated in the "Notes" section, these are for Catalina II/IIa/III Flying Boats.
Decal Randomizations is TRUE. ALL markings are decals, making it extra easy for other skinners to create other squadrons.
The skin itself is in jpg format. An RAF-only Catalina hangar screen is also included (making use of the skin-specific type allowed in SF2).

To fly the aircraft, select the PBY-5A from the drop-down, and choose "Royal Air Force" for the service.

Included are updated data, loadout and userlist inis. Also included are 2 version of the Mk.XII British torpedo - one a standard torp, the other an experimental "cruise missile" type, ala SF2NA (hence, the Full-5 merged requirement).

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them before installing!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for the change list, and other stuff that might be interestering in general.

    SF2 WW2 ETO Spitfire 1A, 602 Squadron Skin Pak 10/25/2013

-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --

    = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

A new skin for the TMF/ModMafia Spitfire Mk.1A, representing 602 "City of Glasgow" Squadron around the time of the Battle of Britian (ish).

REMINDER: this is for the TMF/MM Spit 1 ONLY!!!

Like the original release of the TMF/MM Spit 1, it uses a pool of plane-in-group letters and serial numbers, so you MUST have to original release of the TMF/MM Spitfire Mk.1a to apply this pack to. The only thing different is the squadron code decal, LO.

If you don't have this Spitfire, it's available at the following url:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/13510-sf2-ww2-spitfire-mk1a-by-mod-mafiatmf/

The skin is in jpg format, Decal Randomization is TRUE. The Squadron Crest is used for the paint chip, as seen on the loading screen

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please READ them

  16. Kamchatka Terrain for SF2 (by Baltika, Ver 2)

Kamchatka Terrain for SF2 (by Baltika, Ver 2) 7/26/2013

    = For SF2, FULL 5 Merged - SF2NA REQUIRED!!! =

This is a rebuild of Baltika's Kamchatka terrain. It has been rebuilt (almost)
completly, and is designed to REPLACE, in total, the original 1stGen Version.
The Targets and movements inis have been redone, and are more reflective of the Real
World ™. Place names have been changed to local spelling (where discoverable,
spellable and pronounable). The Original Easter Egg ™ is still intact; several others
    have been added, as expected.

This terrain was (re)built and tested within my SF2:NA mods folder. It makes use of the
various statements and bits (water bmps, etc) that are =REQUIRED= for proper CVBG and
SAG operations. It is suggested that it =ONLY= be used in a pure NA environment. It will
NOT work properly in ANY 1stGen install; so don't even bother asking. NA is also
required, as several 'in port' ships are stock items. Like the Original Release, it is a
"2 Season" terrain. Winter and Not Winter.

It should be noted at this time, you =WILL= be needing all of WhiteBoySamauri's Soviet
Ships, JMSDF ships, JGSDF ground objects, and any JASDF aircraft you can lay your hands
on!! To say nothing of "the usual suspects" US and Soviet ground objects (trucks, tanks,
APCs, AFV/IFV, even more ships, etc). Some are provided, but the rest you'll have to
    locate yourself.

Geophysical Disclaimer: some rivers and other water features may not follow their Real
Life ™ courses, be placed in their Real Life ™ locations, or exist at all (read:
there are NO rivers on this map. See Notes for more details). Several cities and other
physical features, and target areas will also fall into that classification. Some target
areas (cities, etc) exist only as named places, with no strategic or tactical values.
    Just someplace to fly over.

As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the
rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended you read the document through
after unzipping, but -BEFORE- installing. As always, the Notes and Other Nonesense
section may make for entertaining reading, as it explains a few "oddities" you WILL
    experience!

Please also read and -OBEY- the New Standard Usage Discalimer, as it's been changed
slightly to reflect a change in my policy. It's listed at the bottom, in the Legal
Statement Section, with the URL back to the CA post.

*Please Note: there are a few items still missing from the terrain, as well as a new
tile set. It is being released "as is", with the caveat that when the new ground object
and new tiles are ready, there =WILL= be an Update Pak. Until then, enjoy!*

*There is a distinct possibility that this mod will work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs. After all, it's just a skin and decals!! However, the decal radomization will not be functional in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs*

A new Desert camo skin for Raven's Hurricane IIC (Trop), recreates 335 Squadron, Royal Hellinc Air Force, as flown with the RAF in Egypt and the Western Desert.

This skin is still in bmp format, so it's usable in SF/Wo*. Decal randomization is TRUE. All the markings are decals, most of which (serials, plane-in-group letters) are reused from other skins sets

  19. WW2 Battle of Britain Terrain for SF2

WW2 Battle of Britain Terrain for SF2 8/16/2013

    - For SF2, (Full 5 Merged REQUIRED!!!*)

"The Battle of France is over; the Battle of Britain is about to begin..."

This is a (nearly complete) rebuild of the Battle of Britain map by Gepard.
It has been brought (as much as possible) up to SF2 standards, at the May 2013 patch level. It it designed for use in WW2 ETO mods folders built =FROM= the SF2:NA exe.
The terrain has also been completely (well, nearly ~98.6%) retiled using the GermanyCE tile set. Please see the "Notes" section for more info on the tiles. There ARE some custom tiles and TODs.

If you have the original version, or any updated versions, it's suggested you move THAT terrain sub-folder to a storage section, rename it, or delete it from your WW2 ETO mods folder. This version =WILL= completly replace it.

This is map covers western France and Southern England, from Paris to Brisol (east and west) and RAF Whittering to Breast (n/s), with the majority of the target areas in S/E England, and the French Channel Coast. For other targets further inland, and later time frames, it's reccomened you use my EAW WW2 Euro Rebuild, as it's much more detailed and covers a substantially larger area.

This map makes use of the LimitedNations, AllowedDates and AllowedMission statements. There are =NO= CAS routes, ground attack missions are limited to Armed Recon and Anti-Shipping. Strike, of course, for the bombers, remains valid (expecially for the Luftwaffe!). Armed Recon mission are constrained to within approximately 100km of the coastlines (more or less) for BOTH sides. As this map is more designed for the defense of England, rather than cross-channel RAF strikes, this works well (also, vice versa for Luftwaffe bombers and fighters). For those wanting more, use the EAW Euro WW2 rebuild.

OTH, since there is (nearly) enough sea room, several SF2NA "ship zones" are placed on the water bmp. This allows for the generation of Kriegsmarine Surface Action Groups, as well as CV operations for the Royal Navy. If you find these historically offensive, a second _water.bmp is provided, withOUT the zones. A simple bmp rename, and text edit of the terrain's main ini will remove this function. Instructions are in the "Notes" section.

There are some new GroundObjects included; these are ALL at the latest SF2 patch level, and will replace any others. Most are Raven's new LW radars (the Natter SAM is NOT included, as it's 1945 start date is outside this maps operational life span), and some ships by Stephan1918, imported from FE2, and modifided for SF2 usage .

*Geophysical Disclaimer: some rivers and other water features may NOT follow their Real Life ™ courses, or be placed in their Real Life ™ locations, or exist at all. Several cities and other physical features may also fall into this classification; Some populated places may exist only as "named places" on the map. This was done for historical reasons. Many airfields/airports, some of historical significance, may also not exist or placed in the Real Life ™ locations due to tiling constraints.*

When in-game, you'll still see "Battle of Britain" on the terrain selection dropdown window.

It's reccomended you unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended you read the document through after unzipping, but =BEFORE= installing.

  20. 3W Textures Lists for Terrain Editor

in this zip are the 4 STOCK textures lists for use with the 3rd Wire Terrain Editor (both versions)

    Included are lists for:

    Desert
    GermanyCE
    VietnamSEA
    IsraelME

(the Isreal one was compiled by me, as one was never issued by TK)
These are usable for terrain creation for BOTH SF/Wo* and SF2 (excepting the IcelandNA terrain, of course). The differences between 1stGen and SF2 are all in the data ini, so there's no change in these.

It's recommended, that if doing ANY terrain work, you have a large store of asprin, and remove all sharp implements (and by inference, firearms) from you house.

These are being uploaded, as several people have requested the IME list. So, Here's All Four

SF2 WW2 ETO Bf-109E Hangar and Loading Screens

-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --

This pack contains 2 new hangar and loading screens for RussoUK Messerschmitt Bf-109E-3, as
seen in Western/Northern Europe approximatley 1940-41.
This is for ETO 109Es only! The artwork depicts them in the Battle of Britain time frame.

These are in the famous "Box Art" style, and will replace the originals Russ did. I created
these as the old Hangar screen didn't quite fit SF2 formatting, and I got tired of looking
at the old ones! (Sorry Russ -grin- !!!).

  22. SF2 WW2 PTO P-40N, USAAF (SWPA) Skinpak

    SF2 WW2 PTO P-40N, USAAF (SWPA) Skinpak 9/14/2013

-- Something for the WW2 PTO players --

    = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: this pak MAY be usable in 1stGen SF/Wo* game installs. However, some features
(decal randomization, DDS damge textures, destroyed model, etc) will be NOT
functional. Use in 1stGens has not, and cannot be, tested by me.*

**Notex2: this mod is designed for use ONLY in a PTO-Centric mods folder**

A new skin for Raven's P-40N, a "generic" representation of USAAF P-40Ns in SoWesPac
Theatre (read: New Guinea). Although the "Displayed Name" on the Loadout Screen will
say "7th FS, 49th FG" (the Bunyaps), they are to be considered a bit more generic than
Squadron Specific. Even though the individual plane-in-group numbers fits those of the
    7th's usage.

Skins remain in their bmp format.
New DDS damage textures (usable on all Raven's Warhawk/Kittyhawk in SF2 only) are
    included.
A slightly modified data ini, with some flight model tweeks, and switching to the
AvHistory engine sound. So, be prepared to back up some inis for saftey!!! A new
textureset ini for the "Bare Metal" skin is included, that adds Decal Randomization
for SF2. A new userlist ini was created, for the Export Customers.
All markings are decals, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. Also, via the use of my
(patent pending) Fake SqTail decal, the squadron name display is now active on the
    Loadout Screen.

No weapons are included, except SF2 Versions of the new drop tanks (for those that
haven't converted them yet). New theatre-specific Hangar and Loading screens are
    included, too.

The skins have been run through the template (thank you Raven for that!), and have had
a layer of dirt and 'clouds' added for weathering. They're still not dirty enough for
    my taste, but it's something!!

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included.

    SF2 WW2 PTO B-24D 319th BS, 1943-44 Skin/Decals Pak 9/15/2013

-- Something for the PTO players --

    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

A new skin for the B-24D Liberator by pasko. This skin represents aircraft of the 319th BS of the 90th BG "Jolly Rogers" in their mid-to-late livery as seen in New Guinea and the Southwest Pacific operations areas, circa 1943 thru 1944.

It is designed for use the SF2(ish) B-24D mod, available at the following url:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/13842-sf2-ww2-b-24d-liberator-eto-mto-pak/

The skin is brand new(ish), from my Home Grown Template ™, and is in jpg format. New serial number decals were created; they should be considered 'generic' in nature, as they don't accurately represent the unit, but DO represent the correct model variant depicted. Decal randomization is set to TRUE. There are NO nose arts.
This skin makes use of the Post-Sept 43 "Star-and-Bar" (white outlined).

In essence, it's a rebadging of the 42-43 skin already available. This skin uses the "StartDefaultDate" SF2 switch, and will automaticaly turn on in November, 1943.
As this skin IS Theatre specific to the Pacific regions, you'll have to do some editing after installing to the B-24D above in your PTO-centric mods folder, and remove or rename the ETO/MTO skins.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them.

  25. SF2 WW2 Curtiss SB2C-3 Helldiver Pak

    SF2 WW2 Curtiss SB2C-3 Helldiver Pak 9/10/2013

-- Something for the PTO players --

    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

    A new variant of Veltro2K's SB2C Helldiver.

This package represents SB2C-3 Helldiver US Navy Dive Bombers in the mid/late 1944 configuration. There is actually not much external difference between the 3, 4 and 5 models, but I thought it would be nice to have the mid-mark variant. This mod was started in sping 2103 and got lost in some file shuffeling. So, here it is completed.

This is a complete aircraft/skin/decal set, minus the weapons and pilot figures. These are all reused from the various other Helldiver packs I've released. The aircraft are finished in the standard Mid-1944 3-tone scheme.

Skin/Decal sets included in this pack are for...

    VB-7, USS Hancock

    VB-14, USS Wasp

As seen during the time frame of the Battle of the Phillipine Sea, and operations over the Phillipines. The historical WW2 squadron patchs, for each squadron, are used for the paint chip on their respective skins seen on the Loadout Screen.

Skins are in jpg format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. Other than the painted on national markings, all others are decals. This included the Modex and CVW "G" System symbols.

New to this mod are DDS format damage textures, replacing the tga type. These can easily be used on any other of the SB2C variants now available, with minimal editing of their main inis.
The Standard Animations Keystroke ™ are used for the wingfold, Shift/9. The pilot and gunner's canopies remains linked to gear retraction/extension.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them.
