  1. Bomber crews get a bit of flying time, fighters get some too, mechanics on both sides have stuff to do, radar operators don't die of boredom... Fun exercise!
  2. I hope they'll figure out to send some portable videogame systems down there. Oherwise the miners might get bored to death.

    New MSF(S)?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewmSMwiWHNY Apparently they got rid of the Simulator part...
  4. Why even mounted on a rack does it look so unstable in flight?
  5. I'm more worried about getting airborne with any serious bomb load.
  6. That's gonna make landings and take offs with full load interesting.
  7. Wait, what? C hasn't got flaps?
  8. Mercenary campaign is fun but don't forget that SF2 will need a big bunch of mods to fill the hangar/shop.
  9. Is C any different to D in performance?
  10. You lucky bastard! ©
  11. Most of the time they put up fairly average stuff but once in a while they give away very useful utilities or really good games. Sadly they must be not only downloaded but also installed within the time limit.
  12. So that's why the Russians always applaud the crew the moment the plane touches concrete. To soften stewards up for the unboarding routine! We should spread the practice to avoid incidents like the one above.
  13. He's done a lot of work for TV shows and cartoons, he wouldn't mind, I think.
  14. Декорация. Для успеха разведвылета достаточно пролететь над точкой с любым обвесами.
  15. Even NASA got pictures of out fires! http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/IOTD/view.php?id=45046&src=eorss-iotd&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter In other news, the new scare is that fires in the West of Russia, in the areas bordering with Belarus and Ukraine can send back into the air the radioactive particles left there by Chernobyl disaster.
  16. He won't know he has to fix it unless he knows it's not hardware related and introuduced only recently.
  17. He might be kinda busy ATM http://combatace.com/topic/58113-fire-destroys-russian-naval-base/page__view__findpost__p__433227

  19. I bet metric equipment designed for Soviet parts is easier to get in that hole, than anything with imperial measurements.
  20. It's sorta official now. If it were a simple junk storage then the top brass of Navy wouldn't be getting a warning for incompetence. Also the heads of naval supply and naval aviation and the commander of the burned down unit wouldn't be fired so rapidly.
  21. Try asking here http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7730&start=8
  22. Initailly the media reported what you read above. Now some quote officials saying that it was a secret storage facility for discarded materials and equipment, the fire was put out in 2 hours and the damage was minimal (just a dozen stores). Conveniently enough the finances section of the unit burned down as well. :wink2:
  23. MoD reports that there is no Navy air base there at all. Of course now there isn't. Authorities of one of the regions are to stand trial because they chose not to take any preventive measures which led no numerous deaths in fires. They don't care about population, why would they keep an eye on a storage facility? But, hey, the president cancelled his summer vacation and is holding a meeting on the situation so everything will be fine, right? ... Right? Fires map http://pozhar.yandex.ru/
  24. If it were just that they'd probably put the fire out, but currently forest and peat fires are counted by hundreds and they threaten villages, towns and a nuclear research centre while firefighters are severely undermanned and extinguished fires pop back up the moment the earth dries. Also let's not forget about oil refineries. This night I heard a loud blast and in the morning read reports that the largest refinery which is usuallly clearly seen from my window (ATM visibility is 100m) had a fire put out on of its pumps. Somehow I doubt is was a simple fire.
