  1. I'm an avid gamer myself..I play anything from First Person Shooters, to Military Strategy Games, to Flightsims...I've even been known to play Farming Simulator! I'm too old and slow to play MP shooters these days, I was never very good anyway, and found myself getting increasingly annoyed at getting killed every 10 seconds. As I 'mature disgracefully' I find myself even moving away from 'killing' I play FSX more and more these days, especially as I hope to work Airside @ NCL next season. I have killed so many sprites in my 20 yrs of gaming, that it's starting to get a little tiresome tbh. The thrill of OFF and FSX...and the fact that you don't play a game...it's totally open ended appeals to my gaming habits these days. I'm tired of all the Modern Shooters....long since bored of the CoD and MOH games...I tried to get back into it with Black ops...but found myself bored stiff in the first chapter...same old same old. A huge amount of pleasure for me these days comes from Skinning...which I do a lot of in OFF...and increasingly in FSX....I guess at 49...I'm kind of mellowing somewhat...and get pleasure out of watching my son run over perfectly innocent people in Mafia and GTA...

  10. Doesn't matter what we concoct out of String, Canvas, Wood or Metal...we will never compete on a level playing field, with Mother Nature's finest It's an amazing planet..if we just step back for a quiet moment, and take it all in. Those are my favourite moments 150mph nose dive, and pulling 10G on the pullup.....that is some serious s**t!!!
  11. It appears to refer to WW2 in the description..though as I am using Google Translate..It could be mistaken?
  12. Indeed Rugbyfan, But the point I was trying to make was that a Crossbow (like an MG) takes very little training, unlike those amazing guys at Agincourt, who required years to attain the proficiency needed to whop French ass!
  13. I think they were certainly WW1 rather than pre-WW1
  14. Just goes to show the mentality at the time...Most of the Generals probably thought, you could pop on a Breastplate...pull your visor down, and charge with a Warhorse and Sabre.....well, the Machine Gun sure put an end to Chivalry in much the same way as the Crossbow did in Medieval times. After all...any twat can fire a machine gun
  15. Looking at the guy on the right..I assume his moustache was what attracted attention from the German Machine Gun?!
