Well so far all the planes I have put into SF2 that were missing the canopies were fixed by putting a copy of the tga file in each skin folder and it worked. If that is not working for capuns planes then you need to take it up with them.

Don't use winzip, use 7zip or winrar...then that problem goes away.

Don Save often, I have had that thing kill all my work in a blink of an eye, that is why I quit making terrains. I wanted to kill kittens after I used it and it would crash on me. -
Ok I started a thread in the KB. In this thread put all the fixes, and how to's here. Then I will transfer them to the KB myself. Do not as ask how to do anything, this thread is for things we already know. This will only work if the community steps up and help out.

As long as you put the data in the weapondata.ini it will do just as Brain32 said. I find it quicker to do that and run it through the editor than to create a new data.ini for each weapon then run it through the editor.

You all are making it sound easy but its not as you describe, it's EXTREMELY time consuming. And no you do not need to make a data.ini for each. The editor will do that for you, as long as you have an weaponxxx.ini in it. I added weps just like we used to, and when I hit save it created the data.ini for the Voodoo drop tanks for example. I think you all are adding an extra step unnecessary step.

I left them in the SAVED GAMES folder of my Vista install. Works just fine sitting there.

ok make sure for the Voodoo's you put the "tranparenti" file which is the canopy glass into the actuall skin folder itself and it will show up. Most excellent.

Ok I love this new version of the sims, but this file structure sucks. Nothing is all in one place. Edit....its takes getting used to. It doesn't suck.
