Those are really nice pictures. I hadn't seen the Talon in this black scheme before, it really looks fast and sleek like this!

A pretty good exemple about that is, IMHO, "Every Man a tiger" by Clancy and General Chuck Horner.

Well, maybe you're concerned too, Mike? As far as I'm concerned, there's two reasons why the Skyraider is my favorite plane, along with the Crusader. The first reason is that's one of the plane that impressed me most at the first air show I went to, when I was young. No one seemed to care for this bird, not a real WW2 bird, not a modern fast mover. To me it was just the meanest looking bird I've ever seen! It was huge, it got a enormous propeller, and man it sounded so great!! I think that the sound was the part that impressed me most. And the second reason is "Flight of the Intruder"... Damn, the scene where the two Spads flew right along the treeline, saving the heroes' ass, it's my all time favourite movie scene. Pretty representative of what happened in the real war. The epic music with the two birds making everything go boom around them, that was just top notch. And yeah, I've a preference for the H/G birds too. I don't know why. Maybe because their are the ugliest of the whole lot, I must identify to them . Edit: And you know, just the fact that you can hang pretty anything you want under them, that plus the four 20mm... It's just the best weapons platform I've seen for the Vietnam conflict! It's like an A-10, but more beautiful, and with a so nice engine roar...

And what about a sexr old racing Skyraider skin?

Black powder guns are relatively quiet. Even if the boom is loud, it's not a clacking noise like a smokeless powder cartridge.

Mmh personally I would prefer only the grey ones with no tail codes, but that's only my opinion. And Nicky, there's no rush here, it's just the way I do those things. If I'm into it, it would be done pretty quickly, otherwise it could take months lol.

Won't answer to your last sentence, right? I've modified a bit the dark green, wich is more green by now, the grey scheme is pretty much done, and the night scheme is completed. I'll have to rework the exhausts a bit, I'm not very satisfied of those ones, and then wait for Mike's wonderful decals! That's what I call a winning team

Ok, as promised, here's the progress on the SEA camo for the A-1E. Don't look at the decals, it's just a stand off made with mppd's A-1H decals, so the skin won't look "empty":

Sounds like a deal Mike! The wings are already done, since I could use your super AD template for them. I'm on to build a fuselage template by now, and to have something that fits well with the wings one. It's on it's way!

But more seriously, if you're on something with th skins, go for it, I'm a bit "overworked" those times, lots of skins I'm working on, included the Spitfires one I've shown you for IL2. Still gotta do the Spitfire IXe, Vb and Ia for my Squadron, as well as some 109... So iy could take a long long time to complete the A-1e skins for me. And Nicky, to concur with what Mike said, I must admit that it's pretty refreshing to see a girl who like to virtualy put her ass in an old stinky-oil stained-war battled Skyraider!
