  1. I finally got my carrier ops back up and running again, thanks to the changing of the 75.000 heightoffset in all of my terrains. I did a little mod to the CVN-75 so that all of the Nimitz class carriers are present (I renumbered them) The freeware carrier is a lot better looking than the Thirdwire one. Link to Freeware Carrier CVN-75 If anyone would like a copy of my little mod to them, let me know, I will zip them up, and post them to the site. It will give you carriers CVN-68 to CVN-76. If someone would build a nice SCB-125, and then a pre SCB-125 (SCB-125 was the code name given to carriers from WW2 that got a slanted deck angle added to them, along with better catapults) That would be bad ass! I am working on some nice Desert Storm missions too. I am having trouble with the FA-18A though, it seems to crash the game when I am done, or crash during a mission (sorry, I am gonna post that question in my own topic) I do not have many port over problems at all, after some massive INI editing anyway. I like that you can use ground map too, I added it to most of my modern aircraft! I am pretty stoked about this update, WOE is definitely running better than before, and I do not think I will go back to WOI.

  3. I have a weird problem with the new patch as well! It seems that the oceans in almost all the terrains are not flat anymore. That being said, it is impossible to get carrier ops to work properly in addon terrains such as Libya, and Cuba. From the air, the water looks very flat, but when you free camera view around, you notice that the geometry below the top textures is not flat, but has ridges. I cannot get off the deck without blowing up when the game loads! CAN SOMEONE HELP!!!!!! I have tried editing the Libya_DATA, and the Cuba_DATA as well, matching the height offsets with the default terrains. I have also tried using the terrain editor, but it crashes on me! OTC is impossible to play as Navy, or Marines because when you spawn on the boat to take off, you blow up within miliseconds of loading the mission! This happened with WOI as well when I ported maps over to it, that is why I tried with WOE. I figured going back would help, but nope, the new patch nuked WOE carrier ops too! Below are some pictures of what I am talking about. First 3 are cuba... Notice how the water looks like it has bliffs, and hills. Maybe this is simulating hurricane season in the Gulf, IDK. Below are images of Libya. Both maps seem to have the same problem..... Any ideas would be really helpful. It would suck if OTC was toasted after the Sept08 patch : ( The carriers hovering, and my crashing on loading on the deck is really the only problems I have faced with the new patch. Everything else has gone pretty smoothly. I am using a WeaponPack06 hybrid that is integrated with the September08 patch weapon editions/edits. If you go into the weapon editor and set everything as Nato or Warsaw Pact, a TON of weapons are available for each plane. Please help me figure this out, I am about to tear my hair out of my head, lol! Thanks
  4. Dave, I think he is referring to how to make a plane work on a carrier. put the lines of text below in your [MissionData] section of the plane's DATA .ini file you wish to make carrier capable. CarrierBased=TRUE This what you meant?
  5. In fact, it is ONLY Edward's terrain sets (Burma,NG,China,NAfrica,Solomons,Philippines) that is doing this! I had these a while back, and they worked fine, very odd indeed!
  6. I have the weapon packs installed, the nations, the formations, and the ground objects! The loading screen starts, it gets to like 80%, then crashes. An error report is wanting to be sent, but I cannot make anything of the data in that. As for the split installs, I was thinking the same thing when I was in a dog fight with a Zero, over Germany! Thanks Wrench!
  7. Ok, I am having a slight problem. I am making a PTO/BOB/MTO install. I am having trouble with a CTD problem. It happens with every terrain(but the default desert, BoB terrain, and any other stock terrain) The game will start loading, and hang at 80% loaded. When it comes to the last 20%, the game, the game locks up, and puts me right to the desktop. I am using the WOE version of the game, I changed the minimumbase to small on all the aircraft. Like I said, it is only addon WW2 terrain I am having the trouble with, stock stuff does not CTD. Very odd issue! Any ideas? Thanks

  9. I am getting the shaft for gas! I have 2 cars 1 1987 Mustang GT Convertible (semi-built up motor, really needs premium) 1 1999 Mazda 626. (little 4 banger. Regular, but I like to go with middle grade) Regular 3.49 Middle 3.61 Premium 3.75 This is going to make our economy plumit. Hell, I guess they already have the extra income tax checks planned, and spent already, for gas. The price of everything is going to go up too. What is funny are the repeated record profit from the oil companies, and the amount of oil executives making it to millionaire status! I will bitch slap anyone who says we went to Iraq for oil, and if we did, where are the sp(oil)s of war? We should be paying .97, like it was about 8 years ago! Anyway, my .02 cents.
  10. Well, it has been a week, and I cannot get weapons to load right into ANY aircraft with a bomb bay. I wonder what the problem is, I checked the DATA ini against a stock plane(TU-16) and the values are right. This is a VERY weird problem indeed. Anyone found a cure?
  11. I tried adding them manually too. It is not just the F-22, but any plane with a weapon bay I have tried.
  12. I installed the new update, now every plane that has a bomb bay door is now messed up, lol! I added the 2006 weaponpack, plus some new stuff with the F-22, EF-2000, and such. I did it correctly, with the weapon editor, and merged it. You can get weapons in the bomb bays, but it only lets you select one. The F-22 is really strange. It will not let me use missles in the bays. I toyed with the grouping, and seperated both the bomb, and the missle bays. I got missles to be able to be used. What is wierd is, it is only with planes with bomb bays. I checked the C-47, C-130, B-52, and a few others too, all had the same dilema. I cant even put paratroopers into the middle of a tank battle!!! As I stated before, the only problems is with the bomb bays, not the outer stores. There is not even a loadout preset for any bomb bay, despite having a good loudout file. The F-22 worked flawlessly, loading 6 Aim-120C's, and the Aim-9X's, before this what seems to be a nothing update. I have not noticed any change in the gameplay, or performance. Any ideas, or suggestions?
  13. I would check your texture folders, more specifically the decal ini's, and see if the path is correct to the decal folder. If that is ok, then make sure there is actually a D folder in the texture folders.
  14. Personally I like Install Creator Pro. It has a nice wizard, if you need it, and it has all sorts of other possibilities, like security codes, and such. It was really not that much money to buy, but there is a freeware version too. The freeware just puts an add at the end of the install process, that advertises clickteam, I am sure you have something made with this installer in your arsenal, especially if you have downloaded my T-6 Texan mod/paint

  17. Ok, I think it is the terrain, you should see the ships in the Lybia terrain. They are hovering about 10 feet off the water! LMAO!
  18. Here is what I am talking about. This is the Vietnam SEA terrain. No mods, just regular terrain. Every terrain does this, but the WOI default. and here is another shot! Any ideas?
  19. NO FAST CARGO, they work in the WOI maps, but not in the others. It is all the ships too! The default SCB-125, and CVA-63 do not hover all that much, and they allow me to at least take off. It is especially bad on the WOV map, which I ported into the game. Try it with another terrain. What could be the problem?
  20. Ok, I noticed another bug, the ships hover over the water! Even the default ones, when installed, look as if they are barely hovering off of the water! Carrier operations are not feasible as of yet!
  21. FUNNY!!! Every cockpit, and the glove-wings on the F-14 remain extended now! I saw some migs flying at 25,000 feet, cockpit open, and there were no pilots either! I fixed the canopies, but now the glove-wings are still in the open position. I aliased them to an animation, so I can open, and close them at will, but my wingmen are not as smart as me, and retracts them in during subsonic flight ;) Anyone have a workaround, or seen this? I imagine every aircraft with an AUTOMATIC_LIFT canopy, or animation, is going to need to be fixed, :(

  23. Ah, I found the topic. I would like to say to you, in person, that pit is bad ass. Looks almost exactly like the real one! Is it nearing completion? If you need a guineas pig, let me know ;)
