1. Well since the MiG-31 has been released I suppose I should get to work on the meteror sweeper varient
2. Well considering it's at a similar stage of development as the nuclear powered car, it's anyone's guess. Personnally I prefer the clamshells. And I forgot we had a C-130 pit, d'oh
3. I hadn't given much thought to the cockpit put it probably would be somewhat ridiculous to keep using the same on B-17G cockpit. I'll be spending all my time trying to get this airborne, so maybe if one of our pit builders felt lik making a simple modern cockpit. Right now I'm working a cargo/bomber configuration. maybe afterwards there'll be a tanker and/or AWACs EDIT I made a simple awacs dish for testing and started skinning the wheels.
4. You may remember my previous thread http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...=27715&st=0 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beriev_Be-2500 however I ran into some problems, but after learning a little more I've gotten back to basics. After taking a look at the C-5 I redesigned the gear and bombay. Now could I some feedback. which should I build, a clamshell rear door like the last one, or a loading ramp like the C-130
5. You should probably put some tips together in the knowledge base for creating aircraft for the game, I've run into a bit of a brick wall with my beriev too.
6. Use winzip to to but all the skin folders in a .zip file then upload it using the 'attachments' window directly below the text window whe you are posting. then select the file from the drop-down menu 'manage current attachments'
7. ... Well I liked it *cradles Yukikaze boxset*
8. For the purposes of the sim, the raptor has a radar cross section of zero and is hence totally invisible to radar, you can't be locked-on to or have radar guided missiles fired at you. change to radar cross section value to a positive and the rwr will work fine. however you will get shot down.
9. The talon has about 20 engines though.
10. Correct. I'll have to see about getting some decal paper and printing off the unicorn crest. EDIT: Well the Tiger II is mostly finished, but I got some new ones to practice on.
11. I'm just messing with this, trying to get the hand of modelling. Points to anyone who can guess where the colour scheme is from
12. Absolutely right, sadly there aren't many pictures of it on the net, I have two of the mock-up and thats about it. But since none of the pictures actually concurr on where anything's supposed to be, I guess thats okay.
13. Guess Who. Just a little something to take my mind off of the Be-2500, which is driving me nuts. (incidently for those in the know, does the controller for every part of the model (wheels, etc) have to be set to TCB? , or just the animated parts?
14. In Metal Gear Solid when In Metal Gear Solid 2 when In Metal Gear Solid 3 when
15. Anybody remember Stratos 4? Might go well with the ASAT mission, can't wait for Craig's TSR2 Incidently, for those following my Be-2500 oroject, no it isn't flyable yet but... Exams are killing me, I'm spending this whole month on them. Probably should have studied more.
16. Actually you can change the pipper manually to caged, I think there's a variable in the weaponsdata
17. I was playing with them, but I'm busy with exams for the rest on the month. It's pretty easy to load up a rocket pod with heatseakers or radar guided missiles, and you do't evn have to display the missile itself prior to lauch. The only problem is that in flight it appears as an air to ground weapon only. What I have so far is a rather crudely skinned GU-11 from the VF-0 3ds model in the download base and an unrefined AMM-1 I made myself. I intend to refine the AMM-1 skin later and if I ever get the Be-2500 flying on its own then I may approach the VF-0 as my next project. But just for placeholders, here are the .LODs and skins (you'll need to make your own weaponsdata.ini entry) Keep in mind that the gunpod model isn't mine, but since the entire model is free for use I don't mind letting everyone have a taste. 18. Damn Craig, you keep making me look bad. I've gotta get out of college and get a real job so that I have enough free time to do that.
19. I was starting in the air, but I think I found the problem, I forgot to set the motion controllers to TCB and one of the skin bitmaps was set to a jpg, I think I've got it now.
20. I got the animations done now and I thinks it's almost ready for a test flight. I'm using the B-52 flight model for now. EDIT: Okay, what am I doing wrong? I keep getting a Crash to desktop.
21. These are the valkyrie's particular weapons
22.

I was messing around with AMM-1's a while ago, In fact a I managed to find the VF-1 Valkyrie design book as a pdf online, which has detail of all the weapons carried by the orignal Valkyrie, I'll see if I can upload it at the weekend.
23. <br /><br /> <br />

The thing about the Beriev 2500 is that its designed to function both as a ekranoplan and as at alititude as a conventional aircraft.<br />
That said a super fast ekranoplan would make anti ship missions more interesting. It seems that the long term goal is to implement something like parasite fighters or or an airborne carrier a la yukikaze or ace combat. But for that I'd need to build something even more immense http://mirageworks.multiply.com/photos/alb...ee_IV_Resin_Kit http://mirageworks.multiply.com/photos/alb...ee_IV_Resin_Kit http://www.romansland.de/art/aircraft/banshee_1280.jpg http://www.romansland.de/art/aircraft/banshee_1280.jpg
(don't expect these anytime soon, if at all, I'm still busy with this.)
24. If the pylons are part of the original model they can be set to rotate, howver since you're using the existing model, I don't think that its possible
