  1. I'm only guessing, but wouldn't it help if you reduced EmissionVolume and the three ParticleSize[xx] values?
  2. I wonder if that's not the stall sound. Or perhaps the pilot grunting under the gees.
  3. hehe. That's just bloody funny. I hope I can remember it all.
  4. I wonder if Peter01 is still around. He's the FM guru for FE. If he knows of a way, there's hope. I see if I can find him.
  5. I've been thinking about that but am not sure how to do it. Even cooler would be to get the sputtering engine sound.
  6. Nice work, dude! Go Cocas!
  7. Roger that. I'm still running dogfights against the 109E-3 and making adjustments anyway.
  8. It's getting there, folks...(I borrowed Ndicki's skin for the demo)
  9. Gorgeous work, Ndicki! I'm starting in on the MkI FM mod right now. Have a skin for the MkI yet?
  10. Hey Ojcar, Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Generally, I liked it. I only have two concerns. 1. It retains energy (E) far too well. While trying to land I dropped the throttle to 0 and made slow orbits to kill my speed, but somehow maintained around 180 knots. I never could get low enough and slow enough to drop the gear. During a dogfight, I enjoyed never losing energy but that's unfair to my noble foe. 2. This is probably related to #1. At over 220 Kts the plane pitches up strongly. Over 270 kts, it pitches up hard and I need significant down force to keep it steady. This sort of thing "does happen" with other airplanes, but usually above 350kts. Otherwise, I thought it flew very well. Great work on this one.
  11. Happy Easter everybody!
  12. Oh yes - I'm interested in all of it. Right now, I'm working on Wolf's Tomahawk and Ndicki's 109E-7 (which I expect is not much different from the E-3). This can join the 109F and the P-38F I already have converted (but still testing) for the beginning of an Operation Torch planeset. I'll go straight to the Mk1 Spitfire so it can join the Stuka and 109E-3 in the BoB planeset. The Pacific has always been my first choice too. So I'm definitely heading in that direction too.
  13. I use Paint Shop Pro. It has a tool called PictureTube that can re-create an image as often as you like. So I made a custom one for rivets. I just create a layer on top of the base and go to work. I can change the scale for larger or smaller rivets. I can change the Step for more or fewer rivets. For long rows of them, I click where they start, move to where the rivet line ends, shft + click, and a long line of rivets appears.
  14. Thanks guys. I'm actually a bit compulsive about tweeking FMs, hehe. It's all good. It's where I get the most fun out of the game.
  15. Haha! That would do it for certain!
  16. Sorry, ndicki and greporyp, if I stepped on any toes. I didn't see the FMs pak.
  17. SF2_P-38L.zip
  18. Woohoo! Happy B-Day man!
  19. I'm testing it out now. So far, I'm liking it.
  20. If you're getting big squares instead of clouds then I suspect you're dealing with a corrupted file or even a missing file. I just downloaded Cloudscape v2, for instance and loaded it into WoE. Everything comes out okay. Maybe try downloading again. Then be certain environmentsystem.ini is in the Flight folder along with, at least, a cloud image named cloud1.tga
  21. All things can be overcome. It's just a matter of time.
  22. GOT IT! Whew! That was a serious b**ch. Finally got this to work. Kevin - I installed your nations.ini. It didn't help but your copy is more up-to-date than mine, so thanks for that. I'll use yours in future installs. And, sorry to be the cause of frustration. I checked the Tunisia_Nations.ini. It includes "Nazi_Germany" as it should so I stopped looking at it. But later I compared it to IsraelME_Nations.ini and realized they use a completely different format. The old Tunisia_nations.ini looks like this... So I updated it to match the format I found in the IsraelME_nations.ini. So now the Tunisia_nations.ini looks like this... With this change, planes assigned to "Nazi Germany" finally show up to fight. I realize that some installs may not need that change. I'm not sure why I need to try something different. I'm just glad it's working! Thanks Kevin, Baltika, and Cocas for offering suggestions. It ALWAYS helps! p.s. Kevin - Thanks for the Formations update.
  23. This is happening over all terrains. Altough I was flying over Tunisia when I realized this. It includes Nazi Germany (as ENEMY) and the USAF (as FRIENDLY). My installed nations.ini is also set the same way. I don't think this is a nations problem, like I first thought. I tried setting the FW-190 to Egypt and the P-51D to Israel as fits my WoI2 install. Still no combat. Something else is amiss...
  24. I'm trying to find a good fight for my FW-190 in SF2. It's got lots of planes to play with in Single Mission - Fighter Sweep. My P-51D has the nation changed to USAF. There's another Mustang in there for the USAF. A P-38L (USAF) and the assorted Spitfires from the Israeli expansion. The only plane that came up to fight is the Israeli Mosquito VI. If I cut that out, all I get on Sweeps is "Mission Accomplished!" at mission start. I have the Nations.ini installed which includes Nazi Germany. I even added updated <aircraft>_userlist.ini for the focke-wulf and the mustang. Strangely, if I set the mission for Intercept, the Ju-87 comes out, but that's the only plane that comes up to fight! What's going wrong here?
