  1. Ha! Turns out that it wasn't the Tunisia_data.ini at all. I used yours, Wrench and got the same result. I remembered that I replaced my regular flightengine.ini file for the BoB terrain. Luckily I...Backed Up My Originals...and replaced my default flightengine.ini and got a much better result. Still, my Tunisia looks much different from yours. Is that because I'm pointing at GermanyCE.cat instead of the desert one? In any event, this still looks terrific.
  2. So I've taken the SF1 terrain, Tunisia, and I'm trying to make it work in SF2. I went through Wrench's guidelines for converting SF1 terrains to SF2. I guessed what I'm seeing is the pointer isn't pointing to the correct GermanyCE.cat file. So, I moved my .cat file all over the place and tried all sorts of paths to the .cat file including an absolute one starting from c:\ No matter what I try, I'm seeing this...how do I fix it?

    Very cool. Good for her!
  4. Seems a little more dangerous than "noodling" for catfish.
  5. hehe. I remember the episode well.
  6. So am I correct in assuming DAT models are off limits?
  7. So are we looking at a planeset for BOB or the Ardennes? If BOB, it looks like a Hurrincane Mk I is needed. I know where a Hurricane can be found but wouldn't DAT models be off limits? If Ardennes, I already have Wolf's P-38, P-47, and FW-190. I could get crackin' on those now. Lastly, it seems like SF2:E will be the sim of choice, yes? I only have SF2 Vietnam and Israel, but that shouldn't be an issue for developing FMs I guess, right?
  8. Nice going, Hero ( I mean that seriously). Glad you were on the ball.
  9. How hard is it to convert a plane from SF1 to SF2? I have a couple Hurricanes, Tempest. and a MC.205 from SF1 that I installed in SF2:Israel. They needed a number of tweeks to loadouts and the FMs needed adjustments ( the Tempest waaay outperformed the Jets) but it was all doable. Is there some other aspect of the conversion that gets more technical?
  10. I was just about to ask if anyone was working on a prop campaign for SF2. So "Is" anyone working on one? Flying the Spits over the gorgeous addon terrain for Israel is just sheer joy. Maybe a WW2 Libyan campaign is coming...?
  11. Looks great, Spinner! And the background story was well worked out. Kudos!
  12. Very Cool to see that. I always have a soft spot for dogs.
  13. Guys, I figured it out. The clue is right there in the ww2 weapons pak readme. Gundata needs to be in the main Objects folder. I had it in the Weapons Folder. I guess there's a reason Kevin keeps mentioning the readme. Guns are firing just fine now. Thanks for the help, both of you!
  14. I'm pretty sure it's installed. I found this readme in the weapons folder, "ww2_wep-pak_readme.txt". I always keep the readme's wherever I do an install. Also, the weapons folder contains a folder named, "Gundata_stuff" so it looks like I installed it. The InternalGuns listed for each airplane in their <plane>_data.ini are found in gundata.ini. I'm not sure what's missing. Is it possibly a Nations issue?
  15. Yeah I checked that. The A6M5, for instance uses "GunTypeName=20MM_TYPE99-2" and "GunTypeName=7.7MM_TYPE89F". Both are in GUNDATA.ini. I made this a long time ago so I'm not sure if I used the gun installer or not. But if I didn't, wouldn't the US guns fail to fire as well? EDIT: Just for the heck of it, I used the gun installer again. No change. Thanks Cocas. Any other ideas?
  16. In my PTO install (Solomons) I have an A6M5 and a Ki-61 which end up with no ammo when the mission starts. All the AI wingmen immediately report they're out of ammo and of course, my guns won't fire. The F4U and F6F fire their guns just fine. So the problem is with the specific planes. So how can I get the guns fully loaded with ammo on these planes? Sorry if this is in the knowledge base somewhere. I looked but didn't see an answer.
  17. Any Ideas about no jet engine sounds in the cockpit fellas? This is happening in both my SF2:V and SF2:I. Please help...anyone.
  18. Ooh yeah. That's a nice swan song for the awesome Tornado.
  19. Just moved to Texas. It's windy and hot.

  20. I expect he'll end up putting on lipstick and selling his behind for cigarettes while in jail. Make his sugardaddy proud.
  21. In my SF2:I installation the cockpit sounds are missing for many aircraft. Not all are affected. The spitfire from the upgrade, for instance, still has sound within the cockpit. External sound is just fine for all airplanes. I tried copying the JetEngine.wav sound into the mod folder. No change there. Does anyone know what would cause this? How can I fix it?
  22. Hang in there, Israel. You've got a lot of us behind you. Stay safe and do what you gotta do.
  23. I don't have a garden; I have a parking space. So I guess I'm stuck with a Moller Skycar... http://www.moller.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=49&Itemid=57
  24. Hilarious stuff! I've been watching them since I was a kid - even though I'm from the US. Formed the basis of much of my humor. Thanks for sharing.
