  1. Look in the SF2 knowledge base:- http://combatace.com...e-by-migbuster/ Check no. 30. That's probably your problem.
  2. Glad you got it sorted and I am happy to have helped:good:
  3. OK, here's a screen shot of my NF installation:- I'm running Xp so the location may be different to yours plus I've got a separate NF installation so ignore the Options & Enbseries file. The main thing is that there are no extra folders. When you add a mod unless it comes with a auto installer it is best to extract a file to a separate add on folder. Then have a look at the file structure of the mod to familiarise your self with it. Then copy and paste the folders which have the same names as your mods folder. I.E. from the "InstallFirst" folder copy and paste Campaigns, Effects, Flight, Menu, Objects, PilotData, Sounds & Terrains. Not the whole folder. Do the same for all the downloads and it should work.
  4. So if I'm understanding you correctly you have a N4aircraft1 & a N4Aircraft2 folder as well as an Aircraft and ground object folder in the Objects fold. The contents of the N4aircraft1 & the N4Aircraft2 should be in the main aircraft folder not separate. Would you be able to post a screen shot of your file structure? I think you may be adding folders instead of adding sub folders to the main folders.
  5. Hi, Sorry if this has been covered before, I seem to remember something about this but I can't find it now. Is it possible to have a TV display show up on the moving map display in the Jaguar pit or would it be possible to convert the Map display to a MFD. I have done a little bit of pit modification before but my knowledge is limited. Many thanks, Mikeymead.
  6. Ok, I'll try and help but I'm also bit confused why it isn't working. To establish if you installed it to the correct location look in C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Europe and check if you can see the added aircraft in the objects folder? Also did you install the third wire patch first or after you added the NF4+ pack?
  7. I bought TrackIR 4 2-3 years ago and flight sim wise it was the best purchase I've done. I had a bit of trouble when I first installed it ( Me probably being a bit thick) and it's not too keen on bright sunlight behind you. Other wise BRILLIANT! Mikeymead
  8. Congratulations, Double trouble for you then, lots of sleepless nights and diaper changing!
  9. Thanks for the advice guys, I had planned on installing Windows 7 in 64-bit mode. Turns out that I can get a GTX 460 for not much more than the HD5830, HD5850 are at least £70.00 more but would probably be worth it in the end. This GTX 460 seemed quite a good buy. http://www.dabs.com/...948135-50520000
  10. Thanks for all the advice, I've found it very useful. From reading what you've said I've come up with this as a work in progress. Case Akasa Freedom Xone Black £ 45.49 Mother Board & Processor Asus Intel Ultimate Bundle (Includes P6X58D-E Motherboard & Core i7-930 2.8GHz Processor)£349.98 PSU XFX 850W Black Edition £110.00 CPU Cooler Akasa AK-CCX-4002H Vemon £ 36.11 Memory Kingston HyperX 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz / PC3-12800 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM £114.98 Hard drive Western Digital 1TB Caviar 3.5 sata6 7200rpm 64MB £ 75.00 Optical Drive LG Electronics 22x DVD-RW SATA Black bare drive plus Nero software £ 16.99 GPU XFX HD-583X-ZAFV Graphics Card Radeon HD 5830 1024MB PCi-E HDMI DVI £152.87 Card Reader Akasa Internal 3.5" USB 2.0 Card Reader £ 12.11 Operating system Windows 7 Home premium OEM £ 80.00 £993.53 I'm not sure what you think but I think this offers fairly good value and room for future growth?
  11. Hi all, Well it's got to the point that there's not much more that I can do to update my poor old Fujitsu Siemens PC so I thought that this time I might have a crack at building my own PC instead of buying off the shelf. I've set myself a budget of about £1000.00 give or take for the total build. I can't quite make my mind up of which processor to go for. The two choices I have in my price range are:- AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2HGz AM3 Black Edition Processor. Or Intel Core i7 930 2.8GHz 8MB Cache LGA1366 Socket. The PC will be used for various stuff, gaming wise I play SF2 ( all versions) Various racing games, RTS games and a few FPS. I'd be gratefull of any input. Many thanks. Mikeymead
  12. Ok, for the Gripen double cockpit issue. I think it has something to do with both Lods for the airframe and the cockpit showing up and the cockpit position being out of sync with the airframes pilot position. In the cockpit ini change the CockpitSeat entries to:- [CockpitSeat001] ModelName=Cockpit Position=0.0000,4.40,0.6 ViewAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 MaxYaw=178 MinYaw=-178 MaxPitch=90 MinPitchFront=-50 MinPitchRear=-35 LightRange=1.5 LightInnerConeAngle=50 LightOuterConeAngle=60 LightAngles=0.0,-30.0,0.0 DiffuseLightFactor=0.5 NightLightOn=0.25 NightLightColor=0.25,0.88,0.25 Gunsight=GunsightFront Hopefully that should sort it.
  13. I've had a TrackIR 4 for 2-3 years now & I've been very happy with it. T t can be a bit sensitive to bright natural light from behind you but otherwise best bit of kit I've ever bought. You should easily be able to configure it for your needs.
  14. Well that's a bit special isn't it!
  15. Something deffinatly wrong there. I have only ran it from the SF2I exe so far but I know I had a belly tank and under wing stores for the Meteor (Rockets I think but there may have been bombs, can't remember as I'm at work now).
  16. Pretty certain that this would never have happened!
  17. Spinners, that Lansen looks spot on, really feasible. Is the skin your work? I know the decal work is.
  18. Pretty certain that when I bought it I didn't pay an extra taxes.
  19. Right then, You will need run the weapons editor (make sure that you have the latest one installed for your game) Click on the open button, find the weaponsdata ini, click on that and open. When that has loaded save and then close the editor. That should be it. Also if your are not sure about adding weapons I would recommend that you only install the 03jul06 pack to start of with. Hope this helps.
  20. Fair Point, but I never said that they exclusively used weather type names, just that they had some history in using them. I just thought that Thunder fitted nicely after Lightning and seemed to fit the bill.
  21. Allenjb42, I totally aggree with you, I only posted it that way as the community hasn't given it a name yet. On my own installation I've given it the name "Thunder" and before I get shot down in flames here are my reasons. The RAF has a history for naming its fighters and tatical fighters after strong weather conditions, normally winds but but as the Lightning showed this is not a hard and fast rule. As we are all aware the TSR2 would have followed on from the Lightning as does Thunder! And finally the TSR2 was designed to deliver devices which make bloody loud bangs, thats a bit like thunder too! Ok, now I'm prepared for flak
  22. 19 Squadron TSR2 F3 Sets out on combat air patrol over Germany in 1985
  23. Spending more time fiddling with SF2E than playing it!

      JonathanRL

Hah! I know that feeling all too well!
