	I agree it's a big improvement!
 -
Over 50 that did it. I adjust now after take off and all is golden. I just had a 1 kill pilot with 7 claims in waiting to get confirmed get shot down , so it hurts but at least I'm flying better.
 -
Going to try it. The bird is a beast in a turning dogfight but a handful everywhere else. The reason I asked is because I had one misison prior to 1.26 and I just did not remember than . I was wondering if somehting in 1.26 made it that way.

				Patch 1.26 observations and comments
MK2 replied to Winston DoRight's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I noticed the pending numbers (the mysterious ones) on my claims are way down...could be coincidence. I also downed 4 SPAD 7s in one misison but it only let me fill out claim for two (I saw the different messages that I had destroyed all 4 planes and my wingman and groundfire did not steal the kill). I also downed 2 Sopwith Camels and got no claim form. Just two wierd things after patch...could be coincidence. I am getting a lot more kills now after 1.26 (obviously) -
I'm new to the Dr1. It seems whenever I leave the joystick in neutral the plane wants to zoom climb. I find myself constanly having to compensate by flying with joystick in a half dive position. Is this normal?

man this is so cool. We finally decided in allowing DiD/WTL correct?

How to avoid certain mission types (German campaign)
MK2 replied to Geier's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
You can set advance campaign manually in workshop and when you see a mission you don't want, just advance and it moves to the next flight of the day next mission. -
The providence on the sketch is rock solid (highly documented piece in my collection) . He sketched it and claimed 2 Fokker DVIIs that day . I just have never ran across the hardcover of the book. Great info on the name , I was able to obatin the last used hard cover listed on amazon just now . I can't wait to get it (and find out) . thanks again. Do you want us to change your user name?

LATEST UPDATE PATCH V1.26 IS NOW AVAILABLE!
MK2 replied to Polovski's topic in WOFF 1 2 3 / UE - News Releases
aweosme! quick question does it damage current pilots and campaigns if installed? -
Bletchley , my apologies for a quick thread hi jack....what is the name of the Lambert book? Did a google search and could not find it. I believe I have one of the original hand sketched drawings he did for the book signed by him. I obtained it from a collector who obtained it from the family. Is this in the book? I always wondered if this pic made it in the book or not, I know he did several and some made it in and others did not:

After flying for a month for the 94th and 27th aero squadron (since OFF 3's release). I decided to give the other side a go and chose Jasta 36 (primarily because I liked the blue skin on the Dr1 for that Jasta) and chose 100 realism ( DiD/WTL...using pause to snap some pictures). I had a scamble mission from the get go and all I can say is I now have an understanding of why I was shot down so many times in turning dogfights with the SPAD 13 (yes boom and zoom only works when using the SPAD 13). The french pilot I engaged turned with me and was shot down promptly . I only had about 8 or 9 kills (non balloons) in the SPAD 13 in a real time month (still have one pilot active) and I get a kill my first time up in the Dr1. It is a marvelous plane to fly low to the gorund, very safe and really has some zip. The only thing was trying to keep a steady aim when the guns were barking. It took every bit of flying skill I have as well as concentration to keep it on target. Ok I am off to have a drink in the German duty room to see how the other half has been living.... enjoy the pics:

UK widowmaker what he means is to upload the skin for all to use in the UPLOAD SECTION OF OFF here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...amp;showcat=350 that is actually the main purpose of the site (and one of the fun parts!) , to share user mods with everyone etc.

YES!!! DiD/WTL for me , for the boards how about seperate ones AND one general one combing the info for the other 4? best of both worlds. The focus should definitely be kills. I can avoid comabt every time in my Spad and I can gurantee I'll surivie the war at 130% realism at pure DiD, so misison time to me is secondary to kills. Siggi I am getitng pretty excited about this . Is there any support combatace can give you ?

Dawn Patrol (TSR) miniatures campaign pictures.
MK2 replied to MK2's topic in WWI Flight Sim Discussion
Myabe I'll post some pics of the entire room :-) I posted some pics of the original dawn patrol board being recreated at 8 x 4 in the first post. -
The only thing is on my machine CFS3 plays and looks like a cartoony load of crap, while OFF plays like a modern game just released with great graphics and FMs. So depending on what mahcine you have will be what type of experience you get just messing around with CFs3

Dawn Patrol (TSR) miniatures campaign pictures.
MK2 replied to MK2's topic in WWI Flight Sim Discussion
Fenris it is cotton and three paints, mustard, red and black, it literally takes 20 seconds to make the flame and smoke and then you let it dry. Here is a picture of my mini collection, the ones on the top shelf are pre painted Wings of War miniatures (from fantasy flight games). You do not even have to paint them or assemble them. The bottom is old school assemble and paint 1/144 from skytrex http://www.skytrex.com/. I also have a bunch of two seaters finshed that are not shown. speaking of D & D Dawn Patrol is a TSR role playing /combat game. -
Hey guys , I posted this in the general WW1 aviation forum but thought I would drop in here and point to it for those interested in miniature gaming. Enjoy! http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=37688

I am starting a Dawn Patrol (TSR game) campaign game with my game group and the pictures below show the culmination of about 12 months of preparation: 1. Purchasing 1/144 WW1 air planes (and WW2 but those are not ready yet) painting them and having them painted. 2. Creating hand painted 8 X 4 air war board. 3. Created custom stands from scratch, bases, tubing, magnets, clips etc. 4. Plexiglass hand etched and inked to duplicate squares on dawn Patrol board (this 8X4 board is actually larger , has more squares, than the original regulation board but not by much). Enjoy the pictures! Original board being recreated at 8 X 4

How to avoid certain mission types (German campaign)
MK2 replied to Geier's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Once the patches are implemented by the OFF team , I'll release some modded campaign files for the Germans that will take away those missions for fighters in 1918 (that way you don't have to exit to QC) . It is very easy to do. I already modded an American balloon busintg career where you get many drachen hunting missions assigned to you and it works fine. -
The music really stands out with off. Can it be uploaded here at combatace? The OFF section is a bit bare now and it would be great to preserve the file here in the dedicated OFF file area. Just a thought.

It's a good book. Now about the SPAD XIII funny but it is actually the only plane I have flown the previous month in campaign mode. It was impossible to get kills early on as I insisted on turning with the DR1s and Fokker DVIis was getting myself shot down quite regularly. Now I currently have a 5 kill ace waiting for confirmation on his 6th kill. I don't think I have had an enemy plane fire at me from behind yet in this current campaign (althogh I almost lost the pilot to ground fire during a balloon mission). My SPAD rules: 1. never engage flights above you, let them pass or if they dive in , extend with superior speed, choose where to fight (what side of the lines) and turn back into fight using boom and zoom tactics. 2. When you fire on an enemy airplane, make one or two turns at most before you extend and make another pass. 3. Above all use the superior speed of the SPAD XIII to constantly extend from the fight and engage or disengage at will. Once you realize you have the speed to leave any battle at any moment , you start using it to your advantage. I would not trust another plane more than the SPAD XIII right now.
