SkyStrike replied to Veltro2k's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
Nope.. It's a transport built by Avro / Hawker-Siddley during the '60's.... Some are still in service today..... Infact there's a squadron of HS748's stationed in the airfield near my workplace.... They' look awesome during a low level flight... By the way Veltro if you don't mind my asking Are you Indian by any chance? -
Thanks for the info JM... but tell me something please... Does the strengthened fuselage of the E visually differ from the regular one of the C? and if an F-15E were to be fitted with an AA loadout and with its CFT's empty how well would it perform as a fighter? most if not all aircraft encyclopeds mention that an F-15E relieved of its A/G payload will perform just as well as a fighter version of the Eagle.... please verify....

Hi Warthog64... I know that the D & the E have different cockpits but, i was wondering about the external differences... ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Eagle groundcrew & pilots; Please, could you povide some more detailed info? Thanks

Dear All, As I understand that there are both F-15 ground crew and pilots who are members in this forum, I request the following clarification: What are the external visual differences between a factory fresh F-15E Strike Eagle stripped of its CFT's, Targeting pods (& not yet painted) and an F-15D that isn't painted yet... How would you tell them apart.? Please coulld someone help me out on this ? Thanks...

Just downloaded it & enjoying it... Good Show gentlemen! thanks a lot! -
Dear All, I have a question regarding the F-15 Superpack for SF2 (http://combatace.com/files/file/10443-f-15-super-pack-version-24/) : Which flight model difficulty is it designed for? I'm asking because i can't seem to turn fast enough to evade enemy missiles. I fly on normal difficulty on a merged copy of SF2: Europe Israel & Vietnam patched to November 2011... could someone help me out on this? thanks. P.S. Don't get me wrong this ISN'T a complaint. Thanks again

Dear all, I've recently downloaded 3 drone aircraft for the SF2 range: the QM-29, the Firebee & the QF-100. The Fulcrum and the SuperSabre drones show up but the Firebees don't... even when i change the nation name to 'Range' and make them common.... and even the mission scripted for them 'drone intercept' & the T-45 mission for sidewinder training on Sim HQ, they don't show up I get a 'mission accomplished' once i'm airborne or just when the mission starts... Pleasse could someone help me out? thanks...

Dear All, I've recently updated my merged install of SF2: Vietnam Europe and Israel to Nov 2011 standards. I'm experiencing issues in changing the terrain dates..., although i have increased the allowed year by a 100 year interval and creating a subfolder for each terrain location in the terra as suggested in the knowledge base http://combatace.com...eries-terrains/ i can't change mission dates... and i have not tampered with the aircraft service dates either. I had uninstalled SF2, backed up my mods in the thirdwire subfolder under savedgames, reinstalled SF2 series, patched it up to the latest patch, and then reinstalled my mods as before... Please help me out. thanks

A few questions Regarding the T-45 Goshawk
SkyStrike replied to SkyStrike's topic in Military and General Aviation
Hi Vampyre, Thanks for your reply.... So you're saying that the larger forward doors open only prior to the nose gear being lowered or raised and then close shut as soon as the wheels are raised / lowered. Nevertheless these doors can be opened for maintenance/servicing by the ground crew. Did i understand you correctly? -
A few questions Regarding the T-45 Goshawk
SkyStrike posted a topic in Military and General Aviation
Dear all, i have a few questions about the nose landing gear bay doors of the T-45 Goshawk : In this link http://img.fyjs.cn/Mon_1003/27_5215_f74395ecb2aa7a2.jpg the T-45's in the foreground have a different type of main gear door bay where as the one on its final approach in the background has a different type... Are there two types of nose unit landing gear bay door patterns for different variants of the T-45? Please could you clarify this? thanks. -
Dear All, I've recently downloaded the Mirage Factory F-16C Block 25/30/32/40/42/50/52 3.0 for SF2. i've noticed that there is also an F-16D folder named " F-16D_B30_agr " in the file contents. I've unzipped the files to the appropriate locations and all the F-16C variants show up except the F-16D, even after adding the Cockpit folder, Avionics.ini & cockpit.ini & renaming them accordingly. Please could someone guide me as to where i went wrong? Thanks
