  1. Yeah... but this shouldn't be used as an excuse for all these mishaps which even happen today due to whatever reason...
  2. Oops My mistake... HOW ABSOLUTELY STUPID OF ME.......
  3. GOOD HEAVENS!!!!!!!!! NOT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! I've said it before & I'll say it again the govt. ought to QUIT gambling on the lives of good men & fully ensure that all military personnel ought to have the best , safest, & most advanced equipment both for the sake of safety & efficiency....
  4. My apologies in case i've offended anyone by my last post ; i fully understand the risks involved in jet combat, but the point i was trying to make was this: We all agree that homeland defence/security is one of any nation's top prioriteies, governments ought to realise that a lot of good people put their lives on the line for this cause and must ensure that they've got the best equipment, tactics, & safety measures for all military personnel to train for war & as well as fight a war, efficiently & SAFELY RETURN HOME to continue to efficiently defend the nation...
  5. GOOD HEAVENS !!!!!!!!!!! IT's happening again..... what's gone wrong with the U.S. military??? Such disaster/mishaps shouldn't happen so frequently especially in the World's most advanced military power....
  6. What about the Bombing of Darwin & The Battle of Crete in WWII?.. Australia had some involvement there.. The Point I was trying to make is this: Since the D-Day landings at Normandy / Operation Overlord was the largest military operation ever planned and executed (with the sacrifice of a lot of good men) It should definitely be a part of the syllabus of World History in any school and any Degree/coursework related to World History in any country...
  7. It's really shameful indeed... Even educational institutions are totally unaware of this.... What the 'h' is the point of so-called education anyway????
  8. Amen to that... God bless each & every one of those soldiers who participated in those landings... Let's all remember that the freedom that we enjoy so much today was earned in their blood....
  9. Well.. According to the Jane's Encyclopedia of Aviation the interceptor variant of the Blackbird was called the YF-12.... wwand this project was originally called the A-11...
  10. Even If that was the case there's no way either Lockheed or Skunkworks would remain silent...Since it was their product they'd have decided on the name...
  11. It isn't wrong... SR = Strategic Reconaissance if you're referring to reconnaisance versions of ceratain jets like the RF-4 Phantom II , RF-5 Tigereye, RF-84 Thunderflash, RB-47 Stratojet, etc, please take this into concern: The above mentioned aircraft were originally designed as either fighters (in the case of the first three mentioned above) or bombers... Reconaissance variants of these aircraft were given an 'R' prefix designation to signify that they're recon versions of dedicated fighter / bomber aircraft and lack some of the weapons / equipment / avionics of their fighting/armed counterparts ... The Blackbird was concieved and designed as a high-speed aircraft for battlefield reconaissance right from the start.. So it's not a mistake.. Well... At least this is what I heard on the Discovery Channel aviation show "Wings".....
  12. ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Thanks.. which means I get to ask a question right? Ok.. here goes... Which WWII bomber was nicknamed the "Flying Zippo" and why?
  14. Lynx ? is that the answer you were expecting? Or is it a Mustang in the armed sevices of any other nation other than the United States?, paricularly one in service with the RAF?
  15. The Douglas A-26 Invader
  16. If you're referring to the USAAF fighters, especially the WWII veterans like the P-38, P-40, P-47, P-51, P-61, etc they were given the designation 'P' which stands for 'Pursuit'. (the Navy fighters had the 'F' designation though.. eg. F4F, F6F, F4U, F9f etc) All American fighter planes recieved the 'F' for 'Fighter' designation after WWII, when the USAAF became the USAF...

I don't experience such problems with any other aircraft... I have NOT tampered with any of the aircraft's .ini files Even though I use Windows Vista i've set the Terrain & water effect shaders to 'False' in all the terrain CE_data.ini files.. Please could someone help me out? Thanks in advance... Cheers!
