It's horses for courses boys. The question is moot really. It's like saying "which is better, straight or swept wings ?" The real question you should ask would be, say, which is better, the Merlin 61 or the DB601 ? Then we'd be off on a tangent with the Spitfire boys versus the Messerschmitt guys etc etc, blah blah blah, yada yada...

The Bucc is a big girl. She's not ugly, she's just well proportioned. She's got curves where they should be, she's rock solid when things get down and dirty, she's got power, she's got speed. She's got stamina. Ok, she might take some handling on a final approach but then what self-respecting old lady doesn't ! Have some respect ! -
Anyone know if the Babylon 5 add-on for Freespace ia available anywhere. Used to be on one of Volition's websites but I can't find it. I loved that show, would be nice to try out a Starfury.

Even if it's old, I suspect that it will still have a lot of top secret kit onboard. Lets' say it did survive re-entry reasonably intact I doubt that the controlling agency involved would want even the remotest chance of that falling into the wrong hands. If it comes down near you, you'll be in for a poor quality day, that's for sure.

That head-on view of the Jaguar flying low over the landscape is fantastic ! Looks almost like it was taken through a telephoto lens. This is what this community is all about. Great work. Mucho impresto !

I have a soft spot for the old Buccaneer. Just wish I'd actually been around when they were in service. All the coolest planes for me were 1950's\60's vintage. There really is something magical about them. When one is finally released I'll certainly be taking one low and fast over Hanoi in a hypothetical "what if" scenario. -
