Yep. Ever since the new drivers back in February I've had this problem. I reverted back to the previous driver to fix it. -

Thanks for all the info Menrva. -
Always been a fan of the Cobra! The longest serving attack helicopter platform. Thanks for the video link Skyviper! Here is another link to one of the best Cobra documentaries ever for those who are interested.

Upgrade for ODS...calling modders new and old
warthog64 replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Just thought I'd update this thread. The ODS mod would be perfect if it included Menrva's terrain. Everything is great about the latest mod, especially since the latest aircraft and ship updates over the last few years. The newest terrain by Menrva is really all that is still needed. (more Iraqi naval action would be perfect too of course, but that's not too difficult to add by the novice player). I am no expert but if there's anything I can help with Menrva in order to get your terrain applicable with the latest mod please PM me. I still love SF2 over all the other sims (DCS has better graphics but that's about the only advantage) and have been playing it since I was 13. An updated ODS campaign would really make this game one of the best, even in 2019! Thanks everyone! -

Cruise missile problem
warthog64 replied to strahi's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
The simplest way to do it is to open the missile's data.ini file and look for "BoosterAccel" and "SustainerAccel" lines. They are near the bottom. Adjust the speed to a number you think is adequate and test the missile in a single mission scenario. Hope this helps -

Make ships harder to sink
warthog64 replied to warthog64's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
@KJakker The larger ships including the Royal navy carriers seem to be more resistant to bomb hits. The destroyers are also slightly more resistant usually taking a few hits with 500 pound bombs to sink. The frigates however seem to sink easily still with one bomb. The air defenses are also more formidable, nice job! In regards to Rising Sun I would be most interested in updated data for all carriers as well as heavy cruisers. Thanks again -

Make ships harder to sink
warthog64 replied to warthog64's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
That sounds great! Thanks KJakker As for the structuralfactor, 700 seemed to work fine for the Yorktown, but so far that's the only ship I've tested. What number would you recommend? -

warthog64 replied to warthog64's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
The "StructuralFactor" really seemed to make a difference. Seems a good number for WWII carriers is 700, certainly makes the task of sinking them much more realistic. Took about three well placed 500kg bombs to destroy the CV-5 USS Yorktown from Rising Sun. Thanks again everyone -

Other ships that are very easy to destroy are most of the ships from the Falklands War mod. Such as the Type 21 frigate and Type 42 destroyer. Thanks everybody for your help! -

warthog64 replied to warthog64's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Thanks KJakker It's primarily all the ships from Rising Sun by YAP. However the stock TW Spruance class destroyer also can be sunk with very little effort. There are others but I can't remember all of them off the top of my head. I'll have to check over the next week and I'll mention them as I find out. -

Decals placement question

Thanks everybody for the info and tutorials. I've been playing this game for 15 years now but I've never really done much with decals. -
Wings was an awesome show! Documentaries just haven't been the same since. The A-10 episode was called Steel Rain and is available on YouTube, Enjoy!

Iran-Iraq War Terrain/Campaign
warthog64 replied to Spudknocker's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
I just now started playing this great package. However when I fly the Basrah campaign I always get a black screen when exiting the first mission and can't seem to get to the debrief screen. The other campaigns don't have this issue. Anyone know what's up? Thanks
