RAVEN replied to Cobhc's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Win XP method = Copy entire game folder to a folder (Bak,Temp, ect) Delete installed game (ADD Remove programs) Reinstall game , Copy old game from (Temp) over new install (Leave out corrupted GERMANYCE folder). Go fly OH! and burn a copy of the fixted install to backup disk. Raven -
In the Data.ini In the weapons Section Add to the AllowedWeaponClass= AHM for the AIM-120 Missile must have correct Year ,AttachmentType, Size limits All that good stuff must match or be less than the weapons station max linits or it won't load . To use a USAF Missile On a USN AC, Missile Must be "Exported=TRUE" for the right years, Check the AIM-120_DATA.ini AC -DATA.ini-------------------------------------- [LeftMissileStation] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=1 StationGroupID=1 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=-3.86,-2,-0.45 AttachmentAngles=0.0,-1.15,0.0 LoadLimit=1500 AllowedWeaponClass=AHM,ARM,SAHM,IRM <--------------------------------------------------- AttachmentType=USN,NATO DiameterLimit=0.3 LengthLimit=3.7 ModelNodeName=LeftMissilePylon MovingPylon=TRUE MinExtentPosition=-0.65, 4.95,-0.75 MaxExtentPosition= 0.65, 2.40, 0.00 KB Link: http://combatace.com/topic/12099-basic-ini-editing-weapon-stations/ Raven

Problems with WOE
RAVEN replied to irati's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Did you patch WOV then merge WOE withit? If I remember right you have to merge the two in a certain order, check the KB. I found that I liked them installed separately to retain the screens and and Keep the No. Vietnam migs out of Germany, also I pulled most the non No Vietnam fighters (kept the cargo, bombes) out of WOV. As far as things not showing ,Need Info, What are you running XP, Vista ? are you merging Gold versions? Whitch did you install first? patched or unpatched? Check the KB http://combatace.com/forum/99-thirdwire-woewoiwovsf-1-knowledge-base/ Raven -

Soulman what pylons are you using and was it a download? I like the nose paint on your mod (trade you my ADF and GAF number sets for a set of nose decals). Raven -

RAVEN replied to RAVEN's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Thanks Soulman . GAF is The Australian " Government Aircraft Factories " What are you using for the wingtip bomb pylons. Without the pylons the bombs are gust kinda hanging there? Just did some checking and I was wrong about the B-57A hard points. Raven -
GAF Canbarra Mk20 Bomb load
RAVEN replied to RAVEN's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Thanks for the info. I'm doing a GAF Mk.20 for first gen and have it 90% done ,I'm doing the RAAF No2 squardon with all the A84- decals, I have the placement worked out (bang head on keyboard) I,m using the b2 Model by ajunaidr. Still have to change some of the decals, but this is what I have so far. raven -
I've been serching the Net for info on the number of bombs a GAF Mk 20 carried. So far all I've found is 4 M-117 (Vietnam) in the bombbay and 2 on the modified wingtip stations, The B-57A (that year airframe) is the only one that I found modified with the 8 underwing stations . Anyone have some data on this? Raven

If you have added multiple weapons packs you may need to screen the ini for double or triple entries and unused items, Fuel tanks get changed around alot, I had three entries for the same sams, old lod entries,I found four sets of Cambarra drop tanks that were not used on any aircraft. As far as max limit of entries, I do not know. I trashed the hole thing and screened from the start when it got to be to messed up, Much cleaner now. Raven

AU-1 Rudder Offset

Won't let me up load a screen shot! -
If I'm reading the Extent Positions correctly, they overlap (cell to cell and engine). My question is will they affect the flight of the aircraft (weight and balance) I know the weight of the fuel is included, but is the position also? Or is the purpose of the Extent Positions just for the game engine to know that a Mig just put 23mm round through your engine and your fuelcell? Changing sounds in WOV help
RAVEN replied to gumpy's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Justed checked my old data and for a single sound: BackgroundMusic=Your.wav, and get rid of "MenuItem059=HangarNoise" In the Loadoutscreen.ini MenuItem056=SupplyTextArea MenuItem057=DateText MenuItem058=LoadoutScreenTitle MenuItem059=HangarNoise <----------------------------------------- MenuItem060=InvoiceImage MenuItem061=InvoiceTextArea MenuItem062=InvoiceTitle MenuCodeDLL=LoadoutScreen.dll RememberMenu=TRUE DefaultSelection=-1 MouseAnimation=MouseAnimation BackgroundMusic= <-------------------------------------------- This didn't work right, If i remember right. The other way worked, but you have to change the #include "HangarNoise.ini" Statement also to your new ini. I lost a lot of this data when my old computer died Raven -
Changing sounds in WOV help
RAVEN replied to gumpy's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
You have to change; MenuItem059=HangarNoise In the Loadoutscreen.ini to point to a sound.ini, The Hangarscreen.ini and the Loadoutscreen.ini both point to HANGARNOISE.ini , You have to create a .ini for the new sound/sounds And change MenuItem059=Yournewsound.ini, Just extract the HangarNoise.ini, Hack it upand rename it. If it don't work I'm forgetting something. Raven The "BackgroundLoop" go's in the Menu folder. Any other .wav files go in the sound folder. -

Order of Aircraft
RAVEN replied to jjddoo's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
You don't have to rename the folders, Just the [AircraftData] AircraftFullName=Sample name whatever you want <--------------------------------------------- to change an aircraft full name alphabetically in the dropdown menu. Stock aircraft folder names should never be changed!!!!!!!!!!!!! Raven -
White A-6A No textures
RAVEN replied to Skelator56's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Launch the Extract program, find your WOV Flight folder, open the MissionData.cat,Extract the WOVCAMPL1_DATA.ini, Or just go to the WOV Flight folder and Double click the Cat file, the cat extractor should launch, tell it open the misiondata.cat Extract the ini, I think that after the ini’s are edited they should go in the Campaign folder. Just a note I just bought the Razban A-6 ,So far I don’t like the no decals. I’ll have to strip a copy of a skin and try to use the WOV stock decals, and replace the USN and USMC stock skin folders. I think it’s the simplest way to put the aircraft into the Campaign Without the headache of Naked A-6’s popping up in other Camp’s or missions. I’ll have to check into the skin copyright if I want to upload it. Sorry if I’m a little long winded on open file stuff. Raven Just found this: http://combatace.com/files/file/6412-stock-wov-decals-for-the-razbam-a-6a/ and http://combatace.com/files/category/55-a-6ea-6-intruder-skins/ DUD! this is what i get for not looking first. (Thinking=Surely someone must have made a fix for this before, yes the did and don't call me surely.) -
White A-6A No textures
RAVEN replied to Skelator56's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I extracted the WOVCAMPL1_DATA.ini from the Missiondata.cat and searched for A-6A's, there are a lot of A-6A listings (VA-35,VA-115,ect.) Lots of editing or Skinning. I'll have to do the same I'm using Monty CZ's A-6A.( I turned the stock one in to a B.) Also I saw a Xed out listing for a E to check into. Raven -

RAVEN replied to Skelator56's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
There Is more then one A-6A in the campaigns. you may have to edit the Unitname for: Linebacker 1: [uSMCUnit002] UnitName=VMA-224 Bengals ForceID=1 UnitID=73 StartDate=1972 DescFile=wovL1Start.txt StartText=wovL1Start1.txt StartScreen=CampaignCarrier.bmp CampaignBaseScreen=CampaignCarrier.bmp AircraftType=A-6A Linebacker 2: [uSNUnit007] UnitName=VA-145 Swordsmen ForceID=1 UnitID=38 StartDate=1972 DescFile=wovL2Start.txt StartText=wovL2Start1.txt StartScreen=CampaignCarrier.bmp CampaignBaseScreen=CampaignCarrier.bmp AircraftType=A-6A VA-75 Sunday Punchers are in all three: Linebacker 1+2 and Rolling Thunder.
