  1. Thanks Brain32! If I get any 'me' time today I'll be giving that a go. Edit: The tailwheel fix works. Cheers mate!
  2. Spitfire XII- it used to be one of my least favourite Spitfires but I love this one which mated the Mark V airframe with an early Griffon engine.
  3. White Lily
  4. Got it and it's certainly a better read than the whopping 640-page "Spitfire-The History" by Eric Morgan and Edward Shacklady. It's a great book but too much minutiae.
  5. Thanks for that. I am actually pretty clued up on the Spitfire myself and many pilot's have stated that after the broadly similar Merlin engined VIII, IX and XVI the Spitfire increasingly became less of a pilot's aeroplane despite higher flight performance. Or, as one pilot said, it lost a little bit of it's 'Spitfireishness' which sums it up better. I still love them all! In game, the Griffon engined Spitfire's aren't quite right but as they are A.I. only I guess we'll get no support from Third Wire, which is a shame as they are lovely 3D models.
  6. Aeronavale Intruder (One from the archive)
  7. The new Spits (when made player flyable) show no improvement. Player aircraft has no tailwheel (but wingmen do!) and it's take-off characteristics are delightfully unpredictable and dangerous. Still having loads of fun though!
  8. Swift by name...
  9. No. I did mention that this lovely skin by James Fox is available in the downloads section and you only have to swap decals (also available in the downloads section).

Well now the Spits have stopped bouncing I can focus on the bouncing breasts... only I can't because of the damn bouncing ; )

  12. Going Dutch (C'mon TK - give us IXe's without the pointy fin tip and IXc's with!)
  13. More like a love/hate relationship. They are superb 3D models but I just wish I could keep my tailwheel for landing
  14. There's some great work being done here guys! Thank you!

  16. Love the 'blue meanies' Volker!
  17. Lol I like the invasion stripes so much I've left them on the wing uppersurfaces.

  22. Supermarine Spitfire F.24 - Pakistan Air Force, 1949 Don't look too close as this is a stock Third Wire Spitfire IX 'Desert' skin adapted to fit the Mk.24.

  23. BAC Lightning F.51 - No.9 Squadron, Pakistan Air Force, 1965 From the Wiki Hawker Hunter Page... During the 1960s, Pakistan investigated the possibility of buying as many as 40 English Electric Lightnings; however, Britain was not enthusiastic about the potential sales opportunity because of the damage it would do to its relations with India, which at the time was still awaiting the delivery of large numbers of ex-RAF Hunters. N.B. The yellow bordered markings are just a personal choice by me.
