  1. Ummmm, I can't explain this but without changing any settings things have improved... perhaps it's all loosened up!
  2. Republic Aviation F-105I's of No.253 'The Negev Squadron', June 1967.
  3. Good Evening Ran! Have you downloaded the F-100I and F-104I yet?

  4. Good evening!

Are you OK about the F-105I being released with your superb IDF skin? There seems to be some demand LOL.

  6. View File [Fictional] F-100D 'Shavit' (Comet) for SF2 North American F-100D 'Shavit' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a simple mod of the stock Third Wire F-100D to give a fictional F-100D 'Shavit' (Comet) of the Israeli Air Force with markings for; 117 squadron - 'The First Jet Squadron' in a natural metal scheme. 253 squadron - 'The Negev Squadron' in a USAF SEA scheme (as transferred from USAF stocks in October 1973). This should work in any SF2 game featuring the stock Third Wire F-100D but has only been tested in a merged install of SF2/SF2V/SF2E/SF2I. BACKSTORY Despite a very smooth test and development phase North American Aviation's superb F-107 unexpectedly lost out to Republic Aviation's F-105 Thunderchief in the competition for a new supersonic fighter-bomber for TAC. By early 1959 the end of the F-100D production line was now in sight and with the F-108 and B-70 programmes now on the far horizon North American Aviation needed to stretch the F-100 Super Sabre programme out to plug the gap and urgently proposed a variety of F-100 variants to several friendly nations, including Israel, Japan and the United Kingdom. In April 1959 the Israeli government signed for 50 F-100D's and the first of these entered Heyl Ha'Avir service in February 1960 replacing the obsolete Gloster Meteors of 117 Squadron. The 'Shavit' was a popular machine in Heyl Ha'Avir service and served with distinction during the 1967 'Six-Day' war but losses were heavy during the early days of the 1973 'Yom Kippur' war and two small batches of ex-USAF F-100D's were accquired as attrition replacements allowing No.253 squadron to re-equip with the F-100D before finally retiring the type in November 1977. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-100Didf folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-100Didf folder into your Decals folder. That's it! CREDITS As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim. Special thanks to guyran for suggesting the 'Shavit' name. And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. 9. I'm beginning to believe that it really will be SF2:Korea with an approximate 1950 to 1985 timeline and with TK knocking out a superb MiG-15, F-86 Sabre, Mustang and Meteor all of which will find a home in his Suez add-on (or perhaps the Suez add-on will be released first).
  10. Comet above the clouds...
  11. I've had a major re-organisation of my gaming PC tonight so I've only flown a few missions (IDF Mirages in the original Desert terrain) but it's working very nice and this merged install feature with the expanded planeset is so cool. I've noticed some late-model Sidewinder sub-variants but is the flyable Hunter F.6 new or was it in SF2E?
  12. I was going to go 'scorched earth' but impatience got the better of me and I've just installed it in my merged install. No problems! First flight was in the A-4H Ahit/Ayit (73) - sweet!
  13. (Spinners adopts a Meg Ryan voice and runs his fingers through his hair...) Yes, yes, yes, OMG yes, yes, yes, oh, yes
  14. North American F-100I 'Shavit' (Comet) of No.117 'First Jet' squadron, Heyl Ha 'Avir gets airborne for it's second mission of the day (June 5th, 1967).
  15. North American F-86I 'Cherev' (Sword) of No.117 Squadron (The First Jet Squadron) Heyl Ha'Avir, 1960. Wrench's cracking F-86_IDF mod.
  16. North American F-100I 'Shavit' (Comet) of No.117 'First Jet' squadron, Heyl Ha'Avir.
  17. It's meant for SF2 but try this for WOV http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=2729
  18. Lockheed F-104I 'Kohav' - No.119 squadron, Heyl Ha'Avir, June 1982. Bobrock's stunning Italian camo - check it out!
  19. Buccaneer and TSR.2 for me!
  20. Lockheed F-104I 'Kohav' - No.119 squadron, Heyl Ha'Avir, October 1973. Littlesmoke's sweet Canadian CF-104 desert camo pressed into service!
  21. View File [Fictional] F-104I 'Kohav' (Star) for SF2:Europe F-104I for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a simple mod of the Third Wire Lockheed Starfighter F-104G to give a fictional F-104I 'Kohav' (Star) of the Israeli Air Force with markings for No.119 squadron - "The Bat Squadron". As this download relies on the stock Third Wire F-104G LODs then you must have SF2:Europe where TK has thoughfully left them for us. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-104I folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-104I folder into your main Decals folder. SKINS/MARKINGS I wanted to capture the look of the early Mirage IIIC's in Israeli service and saw a photograph of a No.119 squadron machine with red/white rudder stripes and a red fin marking and decided to copy that. As there are no hi-res squadron patch images for No.119 squadron I designed by own, I hope you like it! CREDITS Special thanks to guyran for suggesting the Hebrew name of 'Kohav'. And special thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 3 - Dated 17/04/16 Submitter Spinners Submitted 10/11/2009 Category What If Hangar

  24. OK. Problem solved by adding Reverse=TRUE on the starboard side, I'm not sure how or why that works but it has.
  25. I wonder if anyone knows whats going on here? I'm getting a strange semi-transparent grey trailing edge on the starboard side of the F-104G's rudder when using a decal placed on both sides of the rudder. Oddly, the port side of the rudder is completely unaffected. I've tried the stock 516x516 silver skin and also bassman's 1024x1024 skin and the problem is the same.
