  1. I have uploaded Beta 0.30 some minutes ago. The admin must give the okay and then it will be available for you. Hope you enjoy it. Screenshot: The powerplant near of the town of Saki. The next step will be to finish the Crimean peninsula and then i will focus on the area between Cherson and Nikolajew, the rivers Dnjepr and Südlicher Bug (german names of the towns and rivers).
  2. Black planes or objects means, that the skin file does not match the requirements of the LOD file (shape file). It happens, that the LOD wants a JPG file and the skin file is in BMP format, or vice versa.

  6. As a small consolation for you, I have revised the snowtiles.
  7. The Caucasus mountains are not in focus of this terrain. The main focus is on russian-ukrainian conflict. In a first step i will finish the Crimean peninsula. Then i will go to the Cherson-Nikolaew area, where, i think, we could expect increased military actions in fall and late 2022.
  8. As i have learned it in my military time: In peacetime is an airfield illuminated at night. But in wartime it is all dark. With two exceptions. One exception is the Codeleuchtfeuer, coded light beacon ( i hope this is the right english term), which is placed 1.000 meters in front of the runway. So it looked: The other exception were landing searchlights, mounted on lorries, or trucks, if i use the american term. My question: Is it possible to create such illuminated vehicles in the SF2 world?
  9. I would use them as normal groundobject in a terrain, like factories or other buildings.
  10. This mission: Strike the Black Sea HQ at Sewastopol Harbour: Oh my, what a traffic! Inbound! Closing to the target Hit! Small mistake. I dropped the bomb at to low altitude, my plane was damaged by debris. Trying to escape. SAM is active. after escaping the SAM a russian figther is hunting me. He fires a missile but i could evade Trying to pull up was the wrong decision. A second missile got me.

Seems to be, that for drones the time is over, that they could operate unharmed. Over Afghanistan or Nagorny Karabakh they were really game changer. In the first time of russian-ukrainian war too. But now, when facing a modern air defence, the losses of the drones climb steadily. Over Donbas area now it is nearly impossible to operate a drone properly. You can say that the success of the drones was a temporary surprise success. If the enemy is aware that drones are in the air and if he has a proper air defence, the drone will not live long.
  18. Little Skorpion. A polish project for a low cost ground attack aircraft for the Warsaw Pact countries. Designation PZL-230. model released by Leonardo in 2009 for WOX series.
  19. Taking off from Katscha Airbase at Crimean Peninsula (WIP Beta Terrain)
  20. SitRep: The progress of terrain modding was yesterday slow. I wasted my time to find a bug, which was a transport plane, that randomly appeared middle on the runway. After hours and hours of searching i finaly found the reason for the bug. It was a simple typo. I wrote "." instead ",". And again the old wisdom proved true: It are the little things that cause big troubles.
  21. L-410A Turbolet, a small prop plane made in Czechoslovakia, at Saki airfield, Crimean Peninsula.
  22. Other sreenshots of parking aircraft at Saki airfield.
  23. Yakarow79 made the Nitka Ramp for the terrain. Its the ski jump ramp where the soviet and russian carrier pilots trained the take off from carrier.
  24. SitRep: The ukrainian airfields have now all correct parking positions. Now i'm working on the russian bases. Screenshot: Parking area for large aircrafts at Jewpatoria Airfield. In the background you see the parking positions of some smaler aircrafts.
