YAP AND RISING SUN for wov
madvad replied to DEVIL11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Well, here we get into a fog... If you know which mods are "unethical" or something and can confirm this, point out which ones they are and I'm sure the team won't want to keep them. If something like this was "inherited" and is being used, it is due to pure ignorance, and not due to bad intentions, therefore, I cannot call it "unethical", as there is no intention of cheating anyone, and no one there is nothing to profit from it. I don't know what happened at the time, and if I had been one of those who suffered, I would have been pissed too. But I think it's wrong to point the finger at someone who wasn't involved in this imbroglio, and just wants to do something nice for the SF2 community, with heart and good will, and also doesn't know what happened and wasn't even involved. If these "stolen" mods are present in the current installation and this can be proven, it would be nice to point out which ones they are so that the situation can be resolved. I'm absolutely sure they would do so willingly. -
YAP AND RISING SUN for wov
madvad replied to DEVIL11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
From my understanding, Revamp is limited to SF2. The proposal was precisely this: make it free, updated, with objects, etc. AUTHORIZED by the creators, made by fans who obtained permission to use the name YAP from John Shelton's widow. The site with the original payware, made for SF1, is not part of this scope and I don't know who is responsible for it, but I know it's not YAP-RW. -

look for the YAP-RW in Facebook. Until a new site is provided, is there where the things happen. -

YAP AND RISING SUN for wov
madvad replied to DEVIL11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Not anymore. Now its free and is NOT related to the original creator´s, like Menrva said above. I´m helped with some things in YAP_RW and can say that is totally free and completely correct from any possible point of view: ethical, moral, legal... Is made from fans, to the fans, and I particularly see any creation that helps the SF2 community stay alive, welcome. -

View File Fly as a Wingman This edit in the original file allows you to fly as if you were the wingman of the formation. You continue to be the leader, and giving orders to the rest of the squad, but flying as the right wing, giving the radio command 1-8-6. To return to the original formation, just perform the radio command 1-8-3. I like it, because I like flying as a wingman and "inserting" myself into the maneuvers and following the "leader", giving more immersion to the flight. You just need to be careful when flying with nations where the pilots have "poor skills", as during the maneuvers the "leader" can spread and collide with you. In this case, before the "action begins", I suggest giving the command 1-8-1 so that he moves away so that a collision does not occur. Don't forget to make a backup of your original file in case you want to revert! V 1.0.1 Greetings and check six! Madvad Submitter madvad Submitted 04/09/2024 Category Utilities / Editors

Help with ICELAND02 Campaign
madvad posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Can anyone help me with this campaign for ICELAND02 V2? I took an existing Campaign for ICelandNA, edited all the bases to existing bases in ICELAND02, changed the strategic points too, to the same or similar locations on both maps, but when I go to start it, the aircraft/squadron I chose is run over and the game puts me in a random Hawkeye. Before I changed all the bases, etc., effectively converting one terrain to another, just changing the terrain from one to another, the campaign started normally without any problems regarding the aircraft/squadron I chose, the only problem was that after a single mission the campaign ended. , saying that the strategic objectives had been achieved. I've attached the files below, if anyone can test them and eventually help me, that would be cool. If there is a campaign already made for ICELAND02 V2 and someone has it, I would also be grateful. 1986_Cold War_North_Atlantic - Iceland02_DATA.INI 1986_Cold War_North_Atlantic - Iceland02.INI -

Hello Baltika! I wish, but I don´t have the numbers from these frontlines, and even know how to figure out. So, this is problably the cause. I was excited to play a Campaign in your map, I love it. Thx for your response -

You´re right. It worked but I ended up getting confused with the screenshots. Now yes (this map deserved an updated version with more definition in the tilesets, it's incredible):
