My projects (GKABS)
PeacePuma replied to GKABS's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Welcome back GK I hope things get better. I'm glad you're showing wonders of your talent... PS: If within your means you've considered the Dash helmet from Israel... I wanted to make one but I don't have the skills to model humans yet. . -
It does not carry weapons and under these conditions in a real combat, it would have already gotten rid of the external tanks... About the image I think the same, there is a lot of contrast in the f-16... the pitot of the mig looks soft as does the background landscape and unless it was an infrared image it does not justify so much contrast, that is fine only in the trash about the lens...

Community MOST WANTED
PeacePuma replied to UllyB's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Apparently you didn't understand my comment... it doesn't matter if you have a cockpit or not (I posted the sentry mods without a pit and they asked me the same thing), I'm just telling Gepard and others who see this thread in the future, that the pit F-16 is very similar and can still be made to look even more by being creative. . that's all. Not every comment is a criticism or a clumsy question... sometimes the translation or the reader's humor causes them to interpret the wrong things. -
Community MOST WANTED
PeacePuma replied to UllyB's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Just a comment... or take it as a thought out loud... why use the F-18 cockpit if the F-16 cockpit is almost like the original? I would use that one, maybe being picky I would remove some bits and happily fool myself. Even with a fake pilot you could (in theory) add accessories and with INI editing some elements can be moved and/or disappear... even making things disappear and painting them with an editor is also an option. -
SU 57 and SU 34 Aircraft

Well here is a fast model, this is an F-16 if you look closely at the details it is the Viper version, we need to do some loading screens and we are ready! -
Helicopter
PeacePuma replied to Falcon1364's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
In fact, everyone is right that the simulator is designed to fly airplanes, not helicopters, but vertical takeoff and landing is possible thanks to the existence of the harrier, so maybe the answer is too strict, come on, maybe The guy doesn't expect to simulate Enemy Engage, maybe only you just want to take off and land, which can be done by simply skillfully operating thrust vectoring, you can: up, down, come and go, float...It cannot be rotated correctly or moved from one side to the other. -
I don't know if this goes well here but I found it interesting to share... This mobile sim now looks great, it radically changed its graphics which looked like a late 90's sim, it has very detailed models, good rendering and quite realistic terrain, I expect the on-screen controls to be more discreet than previous versions, because the excessive coloring took away from the immersion. In addition, many things can be done that unfortunately the engine of our beloved SF2 does not allow, and this project also promises a future vr version. I want to see it in action, I don't know what you think, if you like it I'll share the link to support the developer on kickstarter GUNSHIP IV PROYECT KICKSTARTER

Ideas for sending two pallets from Belgium to Spain?

From what I see, the loot is worth the sacrifice... if you achieve the mission, show off photos of the treasure! -
Echoes Across the States: KC-135E Stratotanker's First 15 Years
PeacePuma commented on daddyairplanes's file in Other
Did I realize (according to Wikipedia) that there are only 4 countries operating the Stratotanker (USA, France, Turkey and Chile), is that correct? It seems to be more unique than a sentinel, I found it surprising and interesting at the same time, I thought it would be a massive aircraft in the NATO nations. -

STRIKE FIGHTERS 3 REQUEST
PeacePuma replied to PJB's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Honestly, there is no need to insist on the reasons why tk dedicated itself to the mobile world (they are very obvious). The question is, what could have been done with the SF so that its development did not stop? I think selling the game in a single exe was an obsolete concept, possibly due to piracy but also because it came late to projects like lomac and bms (at that time very attractive graphically), the dlcs tried to rescue the game but they were from the same developer they made very few and they also got stuck in the idea of the sim set in the 60s... look what happened with DCS, they opted for a base sim that moves paid content, in SF, TK can sell their simulator with a good engine game and a base to carry out various missions. On the other hand, it also offers its platform to independent developers to produce paid add-ons to keep the sim updated (just like the consoles that are sold for the hardware but also for the catalog of games they attract)… I insist. Would it also have been a bad deal? Think that SF also created or was an important part of a market niche that is now fashionable: a light simulator that does not fall into the arcade but at the same time with realistic notions takes you to the action without tedious manuals... this same concept , take it to the dlc developers: cool planes but without the complexity and need to pay teams to model 1000 functional buttons, small modders could collaborate alone and at the same time be financially sustainable with their talents; you build the plane, weapon or terrain you want and earn based on what you sell contributing to the exuberance of the catalog (actually nothing new that FSX hasn't done during the last decades) Possibly TK has been left alone in this, I do not doubt that as a developer he had to get into debt to carry out your projects and survive with it, but when the idea is good and the strategy is clear, he can get the resources outside, there are companies willing to invest, the thing is if you want to share profits... Well, I think I went too long on this... although I'll repeat it over and over again, I think that SF itself has a good concept, very sellable even today, (that's why you're reading this)... anyway It is my humble opinion, the idea is to generate debate about what was or could be, I do not claim to be a know-it-all, (I am light years away from being a simple grasshopper) so please, nothing personal and understanding that my English is not very polished (and helped by a blessed automatic translator) so don't be surprised if something is not completely understood.. regards- 69 replies

STRIKE FIGHTERS 3 REQUEST
PeacePuma replied to PJB's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I have learned from this society that for a merchant there is no bad business, there are only bad approaches (I have even seen stones sold)... maybe TK could transform his problem with modifications into an innovative project to make a simulator that offers modules to make certain improvements or release the code with some kind of royalty for a subscription in a community of its own, why not? The SF series has that special appeal of the mod that somehow TK could have cashed in instead of reneging because you just don't fly it as released.- 69 replies

Excellent model, congratulations... if you don't get bored of the dragon, you have the source to make the 2-headed dragon debut in a sim ... (I don't really know which version was left, if the canopy with the central frame or the bubble canopy) -
I say it for the same reason... their economy and the western blockade do not allow them to become selective... and their absurd war only generates expenses for them, therefore they should sell anything to finance their madness

It's a nice bird to have in whatIf, but the cockpit is like that of electric cars for children.

My question is what situation are the Russians in to lose a customer... if they don't want to transfer technology it's because they should be wary of Iran producing a local bird based on the su-35... but what are they afraid of if Iran wanted to, they could reverse engineer it anyway, they've done it before with the f-5.

In my country we say "en la puerta del horno se quema el pan" (bread burns at the oven door) ... with agreements practically ready, a single detail sends everything to hell.

Just a thought aloud... assuming the limitations, if you have the model ready in 3ds with all and fries... why not ask a member with max 2009 to export it to lod? PS: if it is feasible I can help with that. PS2: When you see that it was a success, you can do the KnAAPO version??? (with the tip of the vertical stabilizer straight) -

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to share any common work or comments, but like many members I have seen your nickname continually appear on many published works over the years, which is a sign of your generosity. in sharing his knowledge with modders and enthusiasts in the community. My condolences to his family and to those who knew him and shared in this beautiful hobby that unites us. Thank you for the time you gave to this group. Have a good trip, Niels. -
Do you want them in obj or max???
