What is the benefit of a drop tank that you cant drop?

Do you add this to the data.ini or the F-107.ini?

I've done that before, but with an AIM-9. I hit the first guy and he flew into his wingie. Another time I was flying an intercept mission in an f-106. I was taking out Su-7s. I kill all of them but two and I was out of falcons and gun. So I hit full burner and decide to let physics take control. The first one I went right through and he exploded. I emerged without a scratch somehow. The second one I dived on and knocked out his port wing. Unfortunately I lost my vert stabalizer and went into a flat spin. He hit the dirt first and I ejected. Luckily I was over freindly territory (it being an intercept and all) so I got away with a purple heart and a great story.

Ah the .dat file needs to be in the weap folder! I didn't know that. That fixed everything as far as I can tell. Thanks for the help.

A FSW aircraft is very maneuverable as is. You add TVN to it and it will out maneuver practically everything.

The F-107 didn't come with any weapons. Only the plane and the weapon data entry. I'm assuming it makes use of a pre-existing tank. As for the F-104, it does and they are in the weapons folder.

Its located in the objects folder. Just in case I was having errors I also copied it into the weapons folder but that didn't make any difference. I have added weapons before and since and they all work except the f-104 tanks and the f-107 tank. It's odd.

Great bird. Only one question. I can't get the conformal drop tank to work. I added the weapon data and saved it in the editor but it isn't there. I have the same issue with the F-104's also. So I think it's something I did.

I'm back at home today. I was up for the weekend though. I'm from Kentucky.

Perhaps they would end up with an ejection system similar to the F-104? Did the prototypes have an ejection seat?

I have a similar issue with the F-4e AUP. On it all radar modes save for ground map lack a screen refresh and after a few passes the radar scope is one large green blur. I just checked and all of the referenced radar images are .bmps.

Got some good picks of the bird at wright pat today. I'll upload them a little later. Hopefully they will be of some use to the modders.

Why is the canopy not being rendered?

well who knows. But every time when I would end a mission the game would CTD. I checked the key mapping to make sure I wasn't killing the game but that was all in order. oct 08 patch fixed it, whatever it may be.

I was referring to the 08 patch. props do some odd things in 08. I can't wait for the WoI P-51. That should answer a lot of questions. Pre 08 patch WoE doesn't work quite right for me so I don't have the luxury of not updating. My guess is it has something to do with the fact I am running 64 bit Vista.

Too bad Prop FMs are broken.....
