  1. if your ini calls for a stock lod, thats just fine "new" aircraft that calls a stock lod and uses a fakepilot object is fine. the biggie is if you release here, do not include the lod. which again you cant legally as TK locked them all. we can see em in the viewer, we just cant pull them out for use or renaming etc.... but mod with a stock lod and other stuff added is common and fairly easy
  2. to answer the original question, SF2NA (North Atlantic) features teh LHA-1 and LPD-1 as stock ships. but to actually operate off of your best getting something from teh download section iirc
  3. its available in the Expansion Pack 2 as well as being a DLC so everyone that is running 5+2 full merge installs (ie most of the modders who've been around 5+ years) does in fact have it. anyone with just one or two of the series wont have it without EXP2 or the DLC
  4. little friends part two and T-Bolt 2 is still screwin around, but in the boss's bird now
  5. happy new years everyone has anyone seen T-Bolt Two?
  6. that did it! Eric, my apologies. with what you were talking about i was thinking of a twin pod set up only, not any single pod like here as it was still had to adjust the data ini to back date to 1994 (ok maybe not totally accurate but i've spent about two minutes on this so far, just getting it to load) as for in game use, it has the codes to be a deceptive jammer. CW capable but zero strength so the ones i was playing with were nav pods
  7. well for my purposes, be a visual item IRL it does some of what the F-4Gs APR-47 and its 52 antennae did, hence the nickname of "Weasel in a can" edit: in game the versions i see list as navigation pods. so...... nada where'd you get yours from? i didnt have that designation in dropdown until i made my own, (it said HARM targeting pod) and mine certainly dont show up
  8. nah hold that thought. seems like it wasnt meant to be stand alone then, but paired and used on the later models of Viper. will put some feelers out this evening or tomm on either a working one already or poss try to do one in Blender
  9. ok so next question, does yours show up in game? mine is selectable in the drop down, viewable in Mues viewer but not seen on the runway......
  10. pier side view looking forward to it
  11. i think i had nicer accomadations in tent cities during deployments than during the field while in Germany. even when i was like two blocks from the poo pond in KAF and that HTS pod is same one thats in the Gunny's pack. do you use it on the bugs or something? it sure dont show ingame, and lodviewer dont show it having a pylon make a good looking workaround with Pave Penny pod. good except that you cant paint the clear part of the model..........
  12. that is after following the instructions in my first post ther is no need to screw with the game files in the Programs folder at this time. youre just trying to start the car, we'll leave parallel parking for another day
  13. ok simple walk through: go here then here then open the install you have. if you have multiple versions (SF2 Europe, SF2 Israel etc) you will have what is called a merged install, but with seperate exes. when you get really high speed with it you'll have multiple exes dedicated to different whatevers. case in point i put an F-16CM Block 52 into my test install( thrid highlighted from bottom), mainly because i was looking at something for loadouts. it was availble in any terrain or any version of SF2 within that exe. but not in any of the others just getting started you wont have anywhere near as many exes (we say installs, although that not exactly technically correct). you may have one or you may have all 5. pick one, and follow the directions to place the mod into your selected install
  14. https://combatace.com/forums/forum/268-thirdwire-strike-fighters-2-series-knowledge-base/ as for the initial run of the game, run the exe once. that will create your mod folder, most likely in [your comp]/SavedGames/Thirdwire/[your version of the game] welcome to the party. you'll find the mods will really pick up your game experience (depending on what your particular interest is)
  15. i thought you was a fister, and lived out in the field lol my three in Germany were fun, but was glad to go back to signal. as long as chow isnt fucked up, they leave their cooks the hell alone ____________________________________ releatively back on topic, anybody have a working (as in shows up) HARM Targeting pod for the Viper? the one in Gunny's Weps Packs arent working. have a workaround with the Pave Penny pod......... except for that clear glass window. will ask the wider public tomm, but since you two are in here jokin an smokin......
  16. all of the above for Graf's lmao. but our CMTC rotation was always in November. three weeks before Thanksgivivng, go home for the weekend (week for the cooks that prepped the meal) then three more weeks out
  17. yes (as a retired 92G aka Mess Sergeant) and yes, as in i was sitting on a 50 cal one night in early 2001 when it got so damn cold 7th Army put the word out "no guards after midnight". woulda been nice except we had to carry the 50 and its T&E and other assorted gear with a mile back to the TOC. Ma Duece is fun until you gotta hump her more than 50 ft anywhere..........
  18. Bragg (the bigger alcoholics than Pope ) then Germany and back to Bragg until i bummed my time in the Reserves of course Germany wound up being with a field artillery unit. so i was well acquainted with the paths and trails of Graf and Hohenfels........
  19. little friends taking off, to link up and clear the way for the big boys
  20. unless theres 4 empty bottles im disappointed i thought as a ex serviceman you'd be a right proper drunkard happy new years
  21. of course the earlier batch is being the usual problematic ........ by comparison the Mud Hens were soo soo easy to serial hunt and verify.......
  22. 30 Dec 1983: The last flight of the F-104H "Zipper" in Active USAF service takes place as the F-15A replaces it in service with the 318th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. The Zipper would continue on in service with several Air National Guard squadrons until near the end of the 1980s. (big thanks to Spinners, for making the "ADC" Starfighter come to life)
