Charlie Guardians: F-15C Eagles in the Air National Guard this mod represents the F-15C while in service with the US Air National Guard. two in game models of F-15C are represented, the _91 as the Hawaiian ANG operated bot A and C models for most of their tenure and the _02. Most ANG C users gained their new to them mounts in 2004. Installation get original FastCargo aircraft pack from here https://combatace.com/files/file/10443-f-15-super-pack-version-24/ or the viper63a revamp here https://combatace.com/files/file/16186-sf2-f-15-eagle-super-pack-redux-2018/ the skin should work equally well in either. then.... select and transfer the F-15C_91 and F-15C_02 aircraft (and original decals folders if you so choose. they arenet needed for this mod) unzip, drop "Objects" folder into mod folder. should not be any overwriting necessary Included aircraft skin folders and decal folders for F-15C_91 and _F-15C_02 aircraft credits viper63a: limited use of decals, skins, much inspiration on how to proceed FastCargo: original model allenjb42, NightshadeP/R: testers. if its messed up i swear its their fault (J/K!) daddyairplanes: minor skin tweeks, revamp of decal layout, tga work TK: the whole original game note: this started as an improvement to my own install on a new system. as i do not usually fly the two seaters, i have no intentions of doing the D models. if interested, i will gladly share the templates so you can create your own. thank you for choosing this mod, i hope that you enjoy it Kevin Unruh aka daddyairplanes Aug 2021- 1 review

Weird things about service markings and paint schemes in campaign
daddyairplanes replied to Loriaaaaane's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
next question did you change the EF-2000 to Egermany as a nation? either by creating a specific one just as an east german a/c, or setting export and listing that nation in the userlist? yes yes that is the problem. iirc, you have to put in the export availability too. there is also a line somewhere about exporting to enemy tho im having fun finding examples of that line personally for a what if i would make a copy of the aircraft and set the nation to EGermany. no export of particular interest..... Did East Germany change sides in this scenario? if so, you may still want to do a new Nations ini entry to reflect blue orientation otherwise, yes, how did the LSK come to have a fighter that was developed to counter them and their Soviet ..... allies -

in the Nations.ini file? extract from the CAT files and place into the Flight folder of your mod folder. make your changes (it will be change of dates, not removal) there and save [Nation017] Name=EGermany DisplayName=East German Air Force Alignment=ENEMY PilotNameList=NamesGerman.lst RankList=RanksUSAF.lst CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst Formation.Fighter=SovietFighter Formation.Attack=SovietFighter Formation.Bomber=SovietBomber Formation.Transport=SovietBomber Formation.Tank=SovietTank Formation.MobileAD=SovietAD PilotTrainingStandard=NORMAL GenderRatio=0 DebriefSuccessMusic=DebriefSuccess.wav DebriefFailMusic=DebriefFail.wav DebriefKilledMusic=DebriefKilled.wav SpeechFile=USAFSpeech.cat SpeechTextFile=USAFSpeechText.str ActiveDate=1959 AlternateDecal=EGermany_OLD55 StartDate=1956 <----------------------------------------------------- removing these two would cause problems EndDate=1990 <----------------------------------------------------- just change this one to when ever your think the Wall will fall in your world -
Desert Terrain problems - Enemy does not show up anymore... (SOLVED)
daddyairplanes replied to Eagle114th's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
sure. delete the aircraft folder from the "Aircraft" folder, what ever file path your mod folders take now, if you want these aircraft in other terrains, but not this one you either need a seperate install for the other terrains, or just deal with and gloss over it in the selection box -
hey look, our generation gets a turn at this game. although i dont think any Cessnas will be landing on carriers this time that said, i wonder if the Nam guys figured the place would go to hell in a hand basket soon as we left 4 and 5 years before we actually did

Anti-Radiation missiles from bomb bays?
daddyairplanes replied to macelena's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
or just add anti radiation seeker to AGM-69. seeing as that is what they were for originally anyways. MAGNUM!!!! in all seriousness tho, look at the latest examples of the B-52G (my SAC Twighlight mod or the new ODS). i couldnt tell you off top of my head how it got there (Yakarov79 is the real genius behind it), but a look at it should give you some answers. missiles , reg bombs, cluster bombs and nukes. all nice and seperated so youre not doing arcade loadouts but plenty of internal missiles (eight inside, 12 on pylons iirc, plus 4 free fall buckets of sunshine) -
HOw to increase loadout of weapons
daddyairplanes replied to Deepeshsingh's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
what he said. you can ini edit for a hundred missiles hanging off the plane. but they wont sit right, may affect flight performance (because the weight of them is still represented), and most of us strive for more realism in the mod, so most questions like that are not met kindly or at all. SF2 is sim lite. it has limits to what you can carry and do unlike an arcade game (it aint Ace Combat). but you dont need to attend undergraduate pilot training just to turn the engines on either (it aint DCS). if you really want to add more, go into the knowledge base (SF1 and 2) and learn the old ways -

last warning Ivan..... -
tell me you dont mod without saying you dont mod quite familiar with how big they are. although i did break my copy of Gunnys pack down by rough era/area (vietnam, europe, 50s 80s etc) and i are an old school retired NCO. i know these weapons are too dumb to understand they are being insulted by being called retarded. laser guided weapons, on the other hand, are highly sensitive and you must watch yourself around them
-
are you talking about the ballutes, or actual parachutes? the Mk8xAIR weapons are like above, everyone else used fins like Snakeye iirc the ones like pictured are all over the download section, both in weapons packs and in various aircraft mods (cough cough DA B-52 mods nudge nudge)

anyone have a bigger image of this Eagle tail art? Its from the 57th FIS, circa 1985-86. trying to get a better image so i can dial the details in better. this request is after looking through two dozen personal books, and three days of looking at "ICelandic F-15" "dire wolf profiles" and "fenrir profiles" on google, to name a few searches -
How to set wapon station to allow only for heavier bombs , and ignore smaller ones ?
daddyairplanes replied to MacGalin's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
it also depends on how many you want to do. there is a limit. dont recall it off top of head but hit the limits for stationID and groups in the B-52... -
Boeing Panavia F-11B Tornado
daddyairplanes replied to crisisloaner's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
nice skin, but F-11 would have been the USN's Tiger fighter. while an A designation would be more accurate, the USAF would stsick F on anything that has the remotest chance of shooting another aircraft down (even the A-10 is tended to by Fighter squadrons) would suggest F-19 or 22 or 23 as those were the numbers up for grabs when this was a semi serious consideration. the back story then could give an even bigger twist to the whole F-19 speculation in the 80s! -

daddyairplanes replied to MacGalin's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
the basic answer to the basic part of your question is no, there isnt exactly a minimum value but as Yakarov said, there are tricks that can be done to create the desired behavior. -

souli for the win! thsecond two work if i double the image size (not too much detail loss), its about the same size even as the other inner tail logos already done (doing them 384x384, roughly 150% TW size) thank you for the quick resoonse, faster than i anticipated. must focus on finishing bitburg eagles, then do the Black Knights. as they really would have looked in RSR....
