Black Knight and the Wolfhounds: F-15C in the 57th FIS and 32d TFS during the 1980s
this mod represents the F-15C while in service with the 57th FIS at NAS Keflavik and the 32d TFS at Soesterberg AB. it is semi historical, as good images of all the aircraft were harder to come by especially for the later 80s

UPDATE 24 September 2022
there is a folder with corrected textures if you encounter your F-15C being blank. this issue was not reported with the
F-15C_85.
since i revisited this mod, i also change the filepaths for the decal folders, adjusted the decal inis, and added loading
screens based on the old TW style but specific to the mod.
 
big thanks to DEVIL11, who brought the texture issue to my attention.

                                                    PACAF F-16C/Ds in the 1990s pt 1
PACAF started transitioning their F-16 fleet in the very early 1990s from the initial F-16A/B models to the more advanced C/D models. 8th Fighter Wing in Korea and 432d Fighter Wing in Japan received Block 30 versions while the 18th Fighter Squadron in Alaska recieved the Block 40s. These units participated in many of the actions the USAF was involved in; including Deny Flight detachments in USAFE's AOR and no fly zone operations over Iraq.

Texas Falcons:
 F-16s over the Lone Star State 1990-1999
This mod represents the various models of F-16 that were in service in the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve during the 1990s. These units include the
- 457th Fighter Squadron (Air Force Reserve) at Fort Worth
- 704th Fighter Squadron (Air Force Reserve) at Bergstrom AFB
- 111th Fighter Squadron (Texas ANG) at Ellington ANGB
- 182d  Fighter Squadron (Texas ANG) at Lackland AFB
These units have utilized a range of F-16 models over the years and a wider range of missions. The 704th deactivated in 1996, and the 111th converted to MQ-1s in 2009. But the 457th and 182d are still going strong as Viper operators today

Vipers Over Bosnia
    Part 1: USAFE F-16C/Ds During Operation Deny Flight
In April 1993, NATO had documented over 500 unauthorized military flights over Bosnian airspace since the United Nations passed Resolution 781 that prohibited those flights. The Umited Nations then passed Resolution 816 that extended the flight ban to all fixed and rotary wing in the country and authorized memeber states to use all measures need to comply.
On 12 April 1993, NATO began Operation Deny Flight, combat air patrols to enforce the no fly zone over Bosnia Herzogovina. In June 1993, Resolution 836 allowed NATO to also provide close air support to UNPROFOR on request (This was not often used because requests had to go to the UN in New York, then to NATO then back to the pilots and ground forces involved). As a result, the typical loadout was of air to air missiles as well as a pair of bombs and jaming pod.
The closest American air base to the conflict zone was Aviano AB in Italy. Many US Fighter units forward deployed there at the beginning, including elements of the 86th Fighter Wing (512th and 526th Fighter Squadrons) which was transitioning from the F-16C Block 30 to the F-16C Block 40. This unit was in the middle of that transition on 28 Feb 1994 when elements of the 526th FS engaged 6 Serbian J-21 jets with the USAF claiming 4 downed (the Serbs claim 5 were lost).
Later in 1994, the 86th Wing ceased fighter operations and the two squadrons were moved to Aviano to become part of the 31st Fighter Wing (510th FS and 555th FS). These squadrons continued operations over Bosnia through the shoot down incident on 2 Jun 1995 and the air strikes conducted as part of Operation Deliberate Force.
With the adopting of the Dayton Peace Accords, Deny Flight was determined to no longer be necessary and terminated on 15 December 1995.

This is a semi historical mod to represent the B-47E through its career as SACs most numerous bomber.
It is semi historical because there were so many variations on equipment and markings across 1300+ aircraft over its 12 year career that it is impossible to accurately represent all of them. Instead, all major units that could be represented are (in other skin packs) and the general paint schemes used during the appropriate eras are modded for the forward deployments known as Operation REFLEX. Further, new nuclear weapons have been included.
To keep file sizes down somewhat, unit skins will be release by numbered air force and available in the SF2 Skins download section

    Known Issues
- At this time there are not models for the RATO pods that were commonly used by the B-47. I have a method figured out for it,
but we would need someone to model the horsecollar device with 33 JATO bottles
- Not every upgrade to the Stratojet is modeled. Again, there were 1300+ aircraft built, and 6 phases for upgrades. The (53) roughly represents
the aircraft after introduction, the (57) in between Phase 3 and 4. Anyone that would like to work any fakepilot mods to represent each of the
6 phases, as well as modifications like TEE TOWN would be welcomed.
- while online sources state the 341st Bomb Wing operated Stratojets, veteran and book sources could not even find proof of operation, let alone
marking information (they came through on all other Wings). Therefore I have not included this Bomb Wing in the mod.
- The "afterburner" trick to use water injection on take off is in effect, from 99-100%. If you want realism, and to not be visible across the
continent, dont exceed 97% power in flight.

    Lockheed C-141B Starlifter  by Coyote Aerospace
This mod is a new version of the C-141B Starlifter by Veltro2K, with skins by daddyairplanes
It features several historical skins covering several important periods in the Starlifters B/C model career. European One camoflage is applied as a tga skin, so two varieties of camo on the ramps!
    Installation
unzip, open the C-141B(v2k) folder, drop contents into desired mod folder

    Known Issues
- the main cargo doors and paratrooper doors open at the same time. an expert was consulted, and it is not reasonably feasable to seperate the actions.
- cockpit is an older one, this aircraft is intended more for eyecandy as there are no real transport missions in SF2. anyone who can donate a more modern pit would be greatly appreciated
- While 63 C-141Bs underwent upgrades to C standard in the late 1990s, the upgrades were internal (glass cockpit, avionics, GPS reciever). as they are not really visible, there is only a B model for here in game. The serials however are accurate and part of the last 63 Starlifters in service after 2002 (when the last McChord based aircraft retired)
- due to slight mapping issues, there will not be a bare metal version of this C-141B. they dont show up really on the White top, green or gray skins, but would stand out on a bare metal. there were only about 7 that operated unpainted for 9 months during the Desert Shield/Desert Storm timeframe anyhow.

In October of 1949, four pilots of the 36th Fighter Wing came together to form the first aerobatic display team in the American zone in Germany. This team and its successors would go on to fly hundreds of demonstrations in front of millions in Europe and Africa, before being disbanded in 1963.

Charlie Guardians: F-15C Eagles in the Air National Guard
this mod represents the F-15C while in service with the US Air National Guard. two in game models of F-15C are represented, the _91 as the Hawaiian ANG operated bot A and C models for most of their tenure and the _02. Most ANG C users gained their new to them mounts in 2004.

        F-15A 1980s Skinpack for the Stock 3W Eagles
This semi historical mod tweeks the stock Third Wire units and adds the Fighter Interceptor Squadrons
The mod includes tail, unit and nose markings for 17 F-15A squadrons (plus two later sets for the FISs) as operated during the 1980s.
        NOTE
I say this is a semi historical mod. To save myself research time, it uses modified TW serials. the numbers are the same, i just reduced the opacity to fit the look of the markings better.

        Alpha Guardian Eagles ANG Skinpack for F-15A(85)
This semi historical mod adds the Air National Guard Squadrons that used the F-15A as well as the 32d Tactical Fighter Squadron that used the F-15A MSIP aircraft from late 1991 until disbanding in 1994
The mod includes tail, unit and nose markings for 9 F-15A squadrons (plus two low visibilty sets) as operated by the Air National Guard.
        NOTE
I say this is a semi historical mod. To save myself research time, it uses modified TW serials. the numbers are the same, i just reduced the opacity to fit the look of the markings better.

    Enhance Plus C-130A Skin mod For SF2V
In 1972, 32 C-130A Hercules were provided to the Republic of Vietnam Air Force to enhance their airlift capacity.  These aircraft served for three years until the end of the VNAF on 30 April 1975
This mod provides a skin for these aircraft, and 29 historical serial numbers. Also included are some historical notes from the research that went into this mod

Douglas/ McDonnell Douglas DC-9-30 series Airliner by Veltro2K and daddyairplanes
This mod features airliners for Europe and American skies running from introduction in the late 1960s through the mid 1980s.
    Installation
open folder marked "To Mod Folder"
cut and paste or copy contents to your desired mod folder.
open up and fly
    NOTE
i have only done European and American airlines within this mod. Given it did not really possess intercontental range with a full passenger load, this mod is best paired with US based or European (to include the UK) based terrains

C-9A Nightingale: 6 skins with historical serial numbers
        3 375th Aeromedical Airlift Wing
        2 USAFE skins focusing on the aircraft assigned to Europe
        1 1990 skin encompassing both the 375th AW and the 86th AW
C-9B Skytrain 2: 3 skins with historical serial numbers
        USN 1980s skin
        USN 1995 skin addressing changes after a few unit deactivations

VC-9 Nightingale: 4 skins feature VIP versions
        89th Airlift Wing, featuring the aircraft commonly used as Air Force 2 from the mid 70s through early 2000s. This aircraft also served as Air Force One on occasions the US President flew into an airfield too  small to accomodate the regular 707 or 747

    Installation
unzip file, open "To Mod Folder" folder, cut or copy and paste to your desired mod folder
allow overwrites, although as of Feb 2021 the only one should be the sound if you have the Viggen

if you dont have it already, get Dels Superpack from the CombatAce download section
unzip my  files and open the "TO MOD FOLDER" folder
add to your desired mod folder, allowing overwrites of the data ini files
fire up the game and enjoy
