BuB, I got the game for $20 at Game Stop. Yes, it can be had for less online but I wanted a hardcopy and I avoid using my creditcard online as much as I can. I am very happy with the price. I still have not downloaded anything or loaded the game itself. Like you I am researching a little first. My list is actually advice from a good chap that I am uncomfortable speaking for or dragging into this any deeper. He knows who he is and maybe he will post on this for us. I only offer advice from my experience but for starters my understanding is that the game needs to be patched to vers. 4.08 and then to 4.09 dowloads are at the ALL Aircraft Arcade. Best wishes, Jim

Well I just got home from a Chinese buffet. Stopped at a Game Stop on the way home and bingo! They had it. I'ld been looking for a hardcopy for the last 3 months. Now to load it proper with all the right mods and downloads. I think I have the list I need here somewhere.

I'm planning on getting IL 2 1946 myself. I have IL 2 Forgotten Battles and am duely impreesed but 1946 is the one to have. There is IL 2 Pacific Fighters but get 1946 because it's in there too.

Hi, I use a laptop exclusively for OFF. I could see traveling with TIR and a good stick with twist rudder working just fine. Throttle on stick. I have a Logitech Force 3D or I can reccommend the Saitek ST290 pro for mobile use. Rudder pedals might be a bit much but hey if you're driving not flying just don't pack underwear and socks. You should have plenty of room.

The guy down the street is selling his old pc XP with a Nvidea GeForce Ti 400 card. I am unfamililiar with this card and never have used XP. Can anyone tell me if this card would handle OFF BH&H? I am looking to replace my Vista laptop for gaming. If it stands a chance of handling OFF I can look into the pc specs further. Any opinion would be appreciated.

I was watching a program on tv today about the Ypres front and they were excavating, doing a dig, and found a lot of material. There are still pockets of tunnels where the men bunked that are untouched. The ground above gives way and a cow disappears.

I did not read that anyone was called a thief for their opinion. A thief is a taker/user of things he/she has no right to. If you have not paid for OFF BH&H you have no right to it. I feel bad enough for not contibuting financially to the cost of this forum. I hope to remedy that soon.

If and when I remember to issue commands I always hit the key 4,5 or 6 times. I don't trust things. I would not know how to select targets.
