Looking at your system, i cant see why you would ever get that low fps, even in rain. Did you do the tweaks in cfs3config?

Hi, well..computer still starts,,thats always a good thing.... only question i have, is that after i ran services.msi, and followed the BV suggestions, when i went into the fs autostart, and was in running services, it seems like a few i had stopped in services.msi were still running, are you supposed to restart the computer after you stop the services, and then run fs autostart, or does it not make any difference. and, just ran a quick game. didnt notice a jump in fps (they were not out of line to begin with), but did notice a big reduction in the tears on the edge of the monitor when i turned my head fast in trackir. thanks for the walk thru,,,,great job

I went with the 4870 only cause i couldnt keep my eyes off the 115gb/s memory transfer rate,,,,and the 3.6ghz memory clock (and the fact ati dropped the price of that card alot, down to 189 at newegg) Now honestly can't say that how important these specs are in relationship to overall card performance, and got tired of researching video cards. the 9800gtx+ runs at 70gb/s memory transfer rate, and a memory clock of 2.2ghz. I have all my ati settings at max, with exceprion of catalyst AI, and sliders at 5 4 4 4 5. e8500 /3.2GHZ, so gotta feeling the cpu is still my bottlneck till i take the plunge and overclock. Still see jagged white edges when i turn quicly with track ir. Gameplay is smooth as silk unless i am multiplayer, then i see some "filling in" on the scenery, But, i always think its a waste of money for something that might not take you into the next generation of games. Doesnt mean you have to go cutting edge and, one thing i didnt know, (and am still not too clear on) Is that games have to be sli or crossfire enabled. I dont have crossfire now, but i put everything together based on the premise i may want/need it. Sli enabled games way outnumber crossfire enabled games, if my brief research is correct. lol..but video cards by far is the biggest pain in the ass item to decide on...wayyyy too many of them out there,,,too many specs to look at. good luck

if you havent already set your cfsconfig to the recommended settings,,,got to this site http://www.com-central.net/index.php?name=...topic&t=118 its a cfs3 tweak site,,,but the settings apply to off2... suggest you do all the overides it recommends in the cfs3config hope it helps

whew,,,hardly an expert here,,, Setup for your landing a little farther than you think you need, Im guessing im at least 1 1/2 airfileds away from the close end of the airfield when i set up for approach. Then i throttle back all the way. I shoot for an approach angle of about 20 degrees. If i feel my speed is too great, then i do some lazy s turns as i approch the airfield with my nose up a bit to bleed off speed. When my airspeed is below 50, then i go into my approach. If you do these right, you will not be any closer to the airfield. I keep my nose high, as i approach, and slowly pull back on stick as the plane gets lower. the closer i get to the ground, the more i pull up to bleed the speed off...if around 15 ft off the deck i think im still goint to fast,,then i pull up more, but have to make sure you have set up so you are not going to overun the airfield so i land pretty much a little nose high. You can also cnt shft f6 as you are in your approch to kill the engine....i do that alot too I rarely stall on approach

In the download section at the top right under the bhah banner. Not sure, but i think you need approval before you can put up a mission. Pd just put a 6 part mission pac there. But if you put up anything, will be sure to try them out. need lots and lots of enemy planes.....and be sure to make all the planes flyable (ie select the planes with * ), so no matter what side we pick,,we get a cockpit

far from a video card expert here, but i would go for the 1gb card. Everything else looks pretty much the same. And i like gigabyte mother boards...

Got full compliment of rockets, as shown but when I look out to my left,,they are gone,,,,actually,,,they show up for a split second as i turn my head,,,but then dissapear Video setting or quirk?

anyone running bhah under windows 7? and if so, have they been able to get into mp ok? this is an error message someone is getting, and wondering if it is because of the os.

saw someone (player) come and go. If you got a mismatch, its probabley cause you dont have the 1.3 update AND the 1.3 hardcore damage model installed

i knew this was gonna turn out bad....

going to assume you have done all the obvious (ie workshop, sound settings) if you disabled sound in overides,,you get the meow, and the drums etc, but no sound in the game. and, this is just a guess, it has solved some pretty quirky problems in my game go to c:\documents and settings\administator(this is where it is on mine,,,it might be under your username on yours)\application data (appdata if you are running vista)\microsoft\cfssww1 overflanders fields, find the uisel.xml, and copy it to a safe place, This is just a safeguard, you can delete this file, and when you start off it will regenerate the file. now delete it, and restart your game. there is a sound on setting in there, so who knows, it might fix the problem. like i said,,,just a guess

Skimming low,,,,30 meters or less, and i have flak going off all around me. Was it really this low?
