Oh we finished the Snipe, however Winder asked me to test fly it. I took off, rolled right, stalled and nose-dived it into the side of a petrol tank. It burned to ashes... luckily I survived! Added bonus... a Peregrine Falcon decided to make a meal out of a House Sparrow that was feeding at one of my bird feeders in the backyard... If you look close, you can see the Sparrow crushed under his right Talon...

I have to agree... you could pretty much see what it says without knowing German. I'd go with "Leck mich am arsch!" or "leck mich!" is pretty cool too. So it's all sorted now, and good to see we got there! Maybe I'll put one of these on my Black Dr.1. I used to have 3M TA3 as my personal plate on my bike... but that was years ago. Sorry Check Six, I didn't realize it was a new discussion... it's one that gets opened (as this one did) every now and then. Finding the exact expression in German for Kiss my A$$ might be tough, so you might have to setting for translating each word from English to German. It might not sound right to a German toungue, but maybe they can read it word for word? OvS

The problem is that it's an expression of locality... there is no direct English expression that explains it, and often people try to do that. It's a dialect, like here in NY. If I say fuggetaboutit.. bash yer freakin' head in... or even more common stuff like... smatta wit you.... what's up with that? these are expressions local to NY/NJ, so it doesn't translate directly to anything in another language structure. So you simply have to say it in the native language and nothing less. As if this is something I could be proud of.... but... I used to teach my buddies in college that were from the South how to properly drop the 'F-bomb' as it simply does not sound right coming off a tongue with a Southern Twang (accent). When I would say it like I meant it, they would tell me how much meaner, and more threatening it sounded. So it's all relative to locality. Same for Kempf's Dr.1... Kennescht mi Noch? Which is something like Remember me? or You'll remember me, but there is no direct English language translation, it's simply an expression from the area he grew up in. OvS

LOL! Well... it's not that cut and dry. In the winter, I spend a lot of time indoors anyway, so RL commitments figured in, I spend about 1-4 hours a day depending on the day. But keep in mind, I'm not looking at this from a business point of view. I love to paint these planes, and see what I can do with them. So much like some people spend hours building models, painting pictures, making furniture... etc.. as a hobby, I do this. It relaxes me. I load my playlist of nice 70's Rush or Yes songs, you know, the 'drug unduced' ones that are 15min+ compilations with a story and all that... and drift off into my hangar to paint my plane. When I come out of the 'hangar', it's 2 hours later, and I am test flying what I made and having fun with it. OvS

I was eye-balling that new LED stuff... looks great! But VERY costly. I still have my 36" Sony Wega that I need a crane to move around the house. I'd love to get one of those new Bose home theater systems with a new 62" LED connected to Blue Ray and Hi-Def TV... good God.. .the Jets can keep their $20K PL fees for each seat... :) OvS

People that fly now have no clue that the MANY if not all US Airlines were derived from the Military, or personnel from the military, hence why the airlines use to have pride and respect and were run with precision. Unfortunately, we've gotten away from that... it's good to see this. . OvS

Are you kidding??? We don't have kids anymore... we have small college students. I have a 9 year old in 4th grade.... we study together (History, Basic Electricity, Advanced Algebra, English and Spanish as some examples... there are plenty more) every single night .... she stopped being a kid at 4. I now have a 9 year old College Student. She gets stressed out, is pressured all week to do 3+ hours of homework every night... has to study for tests days in advance... practice her Cello, read 20+ minutes mandatory.... I have to sign EVERYTHING... etc.. etc.. playtime... for get it... it's gone. In 1969 we went to the Moon with the smartest AMERICAN men on this planet... those men did not have to endure the same crap as our kids do in their childhood. What's the point.... these kids today are hammered to death with this stuff... and yet Obamtron just canceled the Orion project... so even if we have the smartest kids on the planet.. what the hell are we going to do with them? Boys play with guns.... we used to play 'Army' in my backyard all the time... it's part of growing up. Nope... now we chain them inside the house because of fear from all the pedophiles allow to breathe air... they play PS3 all day long Saturday/Sunday, and after school... and Obamatron's wife has the balls to point out that out kids are becoming too obese.
