Cappy, I'm going to go with what Siggi is saying. Sounds like the download went really bad! I think you have more time to download the file. Do it again, if not contact us via the support email and ask if you can get another copy of HitR. OvS

I recently went on a ground straffing mission with Jasta 76b, and was assigned a lovely trecnch run as a target. I went high, came over a mountain and suprised them as I came over the peak. I shot up two units, enough to give me the goal completed. However as I pulled out, they hit me a few times, even though I turned inside the tracers and jinked. They're tough, but it was worth the risk. Like Olham says, make 1 pass, that's it. For some ground targets, you can concentrate on the MG nests so that you're wingies have an easier time over the target. OvS

Looks like a cool game, but the website is near death slow... I gave up. For the Battle of Britian, they missed the Junker Ju-88 and Dornier Do-17 'Flying Pencil' What is a Battle of Britian without them??? OvS

It's a cool, sexy song up until she starts rapping... which for some reason everyone was doing back in the 80's thinking it was hip ... including RUSH in "Roll the Bones"... it ruins the song.

Just to let you know, that model is not part of the OFF build and will not work in campaign mode. You might be able to select it in QC, provided all of the correct files are included. Hopefully in the future we'll have our own HD-1 in OFF, as I'd love to see Coppens flying in his blue highlighted Balloon Buster. :) OvS

Honestly I don't know. I skin, do the sounds and emblems... so I have no idea how the rest is done. But I have to say, however Winder does it... he does it very well. It's pretty amazing how much variety there is in OFF as far as mission choice. And if you don't like the flight route, you can keep pressing 'select new target' until you get a target/route that you like. For years the hard-core RB3D'ers have been trying to put OFF in it's place behind it, but I think after this next add-on patch, that will be impossible. You really have no clue as to what mission you will fly, and even if you get the same mission the next day, nothing is scripted so you have no idea what will happen during the flight. It's level of immersion is extremely addicting. OvS

Dave, I'd like to jump in with you guys I just don't have the game yet... but after the Holidays, I most likely will. How do you guys get on with this? I've never played a combat game on line, only RB3D and OFF... which is a ton of fun. I'm in NY, so week nights are OK now and then, especially with winter knocking on the door. OvS

I think you nailed it on the head with this comment. From what I've read, my best guess is that Vista is actually very powerful and useful across a network. However, this does not help the 1st time user that has never seen a PC before, let alone knows what a 'ping' does. So it hurt M$ from a new user point a view, but maybe helped it from an IT point of view. Either way, I'm reading a lot of good stuff about Win7 and like Polovski mentioned, Win7 64 seems spot on for overall performance increase and speed. I'm going to switch to that when things cool off as they always do. Better to let the 'must-havers' take the first bullets and hold in the bunker until the smoke clears a little. OvS
