OK....uncle al got zapped....I glossed his posts because they were so often churlish or random...not the forum's style at all...but there was meat there. Nuff said...maybe we can start a new sticky with hard-won insights or suggestions. Maybe it's an absurd enough suggestion to win membership in the BOC...........haven't a clue but here goes... 1. I always warp when I can because I seldom have the time to drone along to the moments that matter. Kill me now...........fine. Ever forgotten to disengage auto-trim BEFORE warping and had to deal with that ghastly yo-yo dip that on occasion rams a squad mate and ends a promising career? Try this....hold the stick full back and the moment you come off warp...bad chap, waypoint, or home base....you'll still be momentarily on an even keel and you can adjust in real time quick as billy-oh. So there....that's a seed.....maybe,,,

Nice touch......looks to me like you've made the integration of landscape to town pretty seamless and natural. Whatever you've been doing to the scenery...Winder I expect.....is outstanding. Needless to say the planes continue to amaze....many thanks!!!!!

HPW............thanks....but no worries. Happens every week......I'm a freelance cameraman.....plenty of work for the moment...just not Mon-Fri 9-5. Today we're shooting recreations of a swindler's murder in a Greenwich, CT. mansion....the cops like the wife for it but the prosecutors think the ripped off investors got him. A mini-Madoff stabbed in the neck tied to a boiler pipe in the basement....should be nice and gruesome!!!

duke...that's the question....where's the thud file.....or for that matter the "meow"? I've combed the sounds folder....perhaps not carefully enough. The "Contact....Clear" can be dialled out in the workshop page Phantom....just check "off" for menu music. Now where's that bloody thud sound kept so I can "make OFF my sim"?

yeah...that too...the dogs jump up and bristle........hope somebody weighs in here with a suggestion other than to leave well enough alone....

you know that whomping thud that sounds every time you hit the check button on the interface screens?? I'd love to dial that down a bit...if I've the sound turned up at all it's enough to make the dogs howl. If one of you'd be kind enough to identify the sound file for me I might be able to edit it down to domestic level with wavepad perhaps. The war department grumbles enough already about the game noise but maybe I can extend the grace period by dulling the interface thud sound.....thanks!!!

Olham.....fabulous collage....never tried any of the others....my loss I'm sure....had fun w/ CFS 1,2,3. Kicked off with that tiny MAC blob on the desk that played "Hellcats Over the Pacific"......HUGE advance to F18 Hornet....and then the world went PC and....CFS 1...as dated as it seems...blew 'em all away. Nice to see another dedicated madman out of the closet....my wife still looks askance as the "your favorite model" rolls down the runway for the...how manyeth time to sally forth to glory. Good on you all!!!
