  1. Haha! RedDog - that way, it may take very long for you to ever fly the crates in 1918! Lol!!
  2. Schlissefahrt and Peepu, That must be due to the basic engine or programming of CFS3, and would surely be difficult to change - otherwise Winder and RexHannover would have done so; I'm sure. Perhaps in a future version. But what about the new AI, and the challenge of all this? I must say, I'm stunned!
  3. Hello, all! Thanks for so many answers already. I added two important questions, I had forgotten. If you can still edit your posts, please answer those , too. Thanks! Also, I opened an additional thread to this, for more posting/writing about all this.
  4. Hello, all! Thanks for so many answers already. I must admit it was a bit of a quick shot, and I had forgotten two important question. As I could still edit the post, I added them now. Everyone, who can still edit yours as well - would you please add your answers to the last two? Thanks! Olham
  5. Lieutenant Wildfowler, welcome back at the front line! As your Major, I can only wonder about the obviously good relationships you seem to have amongst some gentlemen from the Rotary Club - you must have been away from duties for several weeks now, without being wounded. But - ahhrm - I'm glad to have you here again, old boy. We can need every pilot we get. You shouldn't be too hot blooded though - a lot has changed in this war, since you've been absent. Somehow, all air combat seems to have become incredibly dangerous recently, and you shouldn't jump on every nice painted German plane - they fight together now; two, three of them come to take you out, before you even got your guns ready! Intelligence reports repeatedly mention the names "WindingMan" and "RexHannover" - two men with enormous influence on modern war technology. And no one knows, which side they are working for - looks like they have no patriotic beliefs or morale for any side, but rather do it all for the big money only! Well, whatsoever - be careful, Lieutenant. And remember: 17 hours...
  6. You may say about the Fokker Dr.1, what you like; but I found out for myself, that she was an extremely good fighter in it's time, when you handled her right. First I didn't like her, because the reaction on any stick movement is immediate, that aiming and shooting are very difficult. Also, she is really an "instable plane" - she behaves, as if the centerpoint, around which she moves extremely agile, is the joint of the stick. Very tricky, cause she moves in any direction you want! But she made my day, on an absolute mad scramble. Never before have I managed to shoot down 6 fighters in a single scramble. And all six of them were Camels! I had flown out of our field to the right, and climbed, before I returned to take on the fight. The first close Camel just shot down our one and only loss - the Dr.1 fell in between trees like a dead pigeon. Seconds later, the killer joined him - I literally shot him into the ground [15h51]. Pulling up, I saw the next one hunting my direct wingman. Von Hertzen performed half a roll and a headover dive. The Camel tried to do a very tight turn - right into my gunsights. She got so badly plastered, that I could let her go, and attack a third craft. To my left, she crashed [15h52] on our field. The next one just tried to climb out of an attack. Full throttle back gave me one deadly second - puffs of white smoke all over her. She turned half headover and fell away; craft crashed hard [15h53]. The fourth did a wide right climbing turn. When I hit her, she tightened the turn and lowered the nose. For seconds, my Dr.1 began to tumble uncontrolled. By catching up, I understood, that this strange behaviour could be used in a tight turn fight. I performed similar, but more controlled moves, to cut right into the Camel's tight turn, and it worked! I came out so hard on her bum, that I shot the pilot from less than 20 feet, I'd say. I heard him scream loud, before he crashed [15h53:46]. The last two Camels hadn't come down with the others. Now, they seemed to fly away. But von Hertzen and I climbed after them as fast as possible. Had they continued their escape, they could have made it. But they were British pilots, and so the first turned round, and came down on von Hertzen. Easily, I got behind him and gave him a good burst, when I collected hits suddenly. His mate had obviously joined in. But some of these aerobatic Dr.1 moves, and he zoomed past me. I was behind him and hit him so terribly, he couldn't pull up again, and crashed [16h01]. The last, damaged Camel tried to escape. Von Hertzen and I chased after her, but then, suddenly, she fell from the sky and exploded on the ground [16h02]. Included the landing, flying time was 20 minutes. I landed with 284 rounds unused. This surely was the maddest scramble I ever had. To be honest, I want to say, that I used TAC and targeting cone on this, cause otherwise, scrambles would be really mad, and I think, wouldn't have been made in a situation like this. But the Fokker Dr.1 has found a new friend in me - what a bizzare craft!
  7. Unc, you know what you're talking about , eyh? I still remember, you had been "happy motoring" with an Allied plane, on the roads of Phase 2. A good laugh that was, and quite unusual.
  8. In QC, you can choose any ace skin, surely. In campaign, I'm not sure right now. But I think, there too, you can pick any of the skins for that type, including the ace skins.
  9. RedDog, your advice sounds, as if you could only get later plane types, when you survive long enough, to get to that period of time. That is NOT the case. You can choose a Jasta/Squad./Esc., and then advance the time for your entry, until you see, they use the plane you desire. First check the Squads by clicking them in the upper right field. Down below you now see the planes they would have throughout the whole wartime. If your desired plane is among them, you will now advance time with the arrow to the right, until it appears. Then enter service. I have three carreers running now, in different times of the war; cause I know, I won't ever last long enough, to survive the whole war.
  10. 1. Albatros DII 2. Jasta 2, Bertincourt 3. 11 kills 4. 7,5 hours 5. DiD yes 6. 110%
  11. Want to start a thread here, were I would like to ask you all to answer this in a similar (short) length. 1. Which plane (exact type) did you fly mostly so far in BHaH? 2. Which Squadron, Escadrille or Jasta did you make your most flights in? 3. What was your highest confirmed hits score? 4. What were your most flight hours with one pilot? 5. Dido you fly in Dead is Dead mode? 6. Did you fly with 100 (or more) % reality?
  12. For a first look, there's the pic we sent with them. If you want to see, how it really looks, you best throw it into the skins folder, and fly it. Here's the direction: go to game's folder, then Campaigns > Campaign data > skins Throw it in there, give it an own name ending, or just note the name it has, then go to QC and choose the plane type for it, then the skin.
  13. Haha! At that altitude, you fight with ground forces, Duck. So that might be hand granades!
  14. wsmwsm, I had that too in QC - it was so, that the game did not recognise the throttle. I had to move it full back, and forward again - and there the engine came! Maybe the reason?
  15. No, Waldemar. And although taken prisoner, I could escape after 20 days or so; and was allowed to fill in my claim report. So, that's alright.
  16. Schlissefahrt, I don't say that. It was just a short time experience I made. But anyway - you won't be able to seriously fly a whole month of campaign in one real life day? At least I can't - would be far too straining.
  17. The log can't seem to be screen shot as usual. You press "print", beam the game down with the windows-key, and open Photoshop or similar program. There, you say "new", and "insert" the print. Now it can be saved as a Jpeg.
  18. ...a quick turn of my head saw the hun zoom climbing up in an arc to take a position behind me. Though I wrestled with the controls, I couldn't turn fast enough to escape his guns. Like a mad hornet he stung me several times and soon I pitched earthward. Unable to control the descent, the last of my cables having been shot away, I plowed into the ground... Yes. That sounds much like the end of so many an ace. You're really good; fighting with excellent manoeuvers; you love your plane, you feel what it can do, and you do it all to the extreme; young and confident - you think you're almost unbeatable; almost immortal. But then you're not... My condolence, Hellshade
  19. Just made screen captures of my log, to post it in another thread. But the longer I look at it, the less do I understand. After all, that is mentioned about claims submitted, and claims confirmed; there should at least be more claims noted. But I read 4 claims, 4 confirmations. Can anyone explain that to a spring tired brain?
  20. Reading the rules, I saw, it must be on version 1.3, which I haven't installed yet. So, the 4 victories are useless now?
  21. Sometimes, it can go quick. But it may depend on how often I started the game, in this example. All confirmed victories were made on May 18th, 1918; but on several flights, which I did not do on the same day in reality. But these were the fastest confirmations I ever had. Now, I don't know, if there would be a "rejected", instead of a "confirmed" in your case? Or are they still "in waiting position"? What I don't understand, are the ballon bustings I made in the first flights - they don't appear as confirmed. But it reads there, that a claim from April 26th got confirmed. Now, together with all other claims, that should be more than 4, right?
  22. To match Siggi's high realism standards for my DiD candidate for his killboard, I have changed AA to "realistic". And got badly damaged right after that! Fortunately, it resulted in a crash landing, I survived. But, my god, these Archies - I'd like to really strafe them hard! My pilot now has 4 confirmed kills. Not enough yet for the board; but if he has: what exactly must I do to take part in that?
  23. The beautiful Nieuport overall design becomes clearly visible with this non-painting. Classic!
  24. Who of us do you mean? And why IL2 pilot? I don't know Widow's looks, but me - I'm handsome, surely. Even WITH glasses!
  25. One is Widowmaker, and I'm the other (Lol!!!)
